Cherubins Day Nurseries provide childcare provision for children up to the age of ten years in the areas of Lambeth and Lewisham.

Each nursery is set in a spacious, detached Victorian building that has been modernised and designed to provide a homely, secure and happy environment, and both feature an impressive well equipped outdoor area.

All staff are professional and experienced and aim to maintain close and supportive relationships with each child and their parents using a Key Worker system.

Within each setting a state of the art digital CCTV system is in place, to monitor the activities in each classroom and the exterior grounds.

Long opening hours enable flexible childcare sessions for busy parents at each nursery.

We have had a wonderful experience at Cherubins. The absolute highlight has been the staff, who have cared for our daughter like their own and made her outwardly excited to go to nursery each day (full time, starting from c.10 months). She has thrived here and we are so overjoyed to see the bonds she
has built with fellow children and staff alike.
The space at the setting is very generous with a wonderful, large garden sectioned off for different ages. When choosing the nursery, we were really drawn to the outdoor area and focus on play outside, especially in London where there are often space constraints. More generally, we've been blown away by the effort the staff have made to help the children have so many special experiences.

The nursery has looked after all three of my children over the last 6 years. I love the staff and the environment they create for all the children. Staff have also supported me emotionally over a very difficult time. My youngest cried so much when he started nursery but now he loves it so much that
every morning he's asking if hes going to see his teacher and I love that.

Our child's experience there left mother scared and less trusting of nursery staff. Our 14months was put in at a table facing the wall, alone while staff tended to other children at another table eating. Child/baby cried so much & in distress that the parent heard the child from the reception. They
had 2 or 3 occasions of skin redness from nappy btw the thights & around baby's waist. The child was not invited to their room's outing.... the baby was ostracised because parent called out their shortcoming from start; for instance, they recorded child sleeping, and at the same time baby is recorded as playing well with others or having snacks or nappy change. Child's lip was bust open from a fall (Child's first time of trying to stand/ walk) while there was just 3toddlers in baby room on the day. The nursery is good for over 2years.... my view as a parent and professional within children sector. The management is quite good at ensuring the safety & wellbeing of their staff

We take all concerns about children's care extremely seriously, and as soon as your concerns were raised, a full internal investigation was carried out by senior management. The investigation did not support the claims made in your review, and no issues were identified with the care or supervision your child received while attending our setting.

We are unable to discuss individual details publicly, but we can confirm that the safety and wellbeing of all children and staff remain our highest priority.

We always welcome constructive conversations directly with families, and we encourage anyone with concerns to contact the management team so matters can be properly addressed through the correct channels.

It's okay and they work really hard to put on parties and events at seasonal times. We appreciate that. The kids get so excited at Mother's Day, Easter etc! Communication is not as good as other nurseries and things aren't followed through on. We also felt quite strongly that staff did not treat children
equally, there were obvious favourites. And some staff are absolutely fantastic and everything you want from a Nursery: warm, caring and like a second parent. Others don't have great communication skills, can come across sullen and some are very strict too. The new receptionist also leaves a poor first impression. It's totally acceptable and its location make it great for the commute. So if you don't mind an energetic place with lots of fun events and trips with some inconsistency in approach and turnover of staff then it's a very practical place where a child will likely be happy. I only hope they would improve the outdoor areas and the litter, and hire caring staff who stay

We as a nursery setting do not have a high turn over of staff. We have had new staff join our team as the nursery grows. The staff within the setting are very caring and to hear a parent feels some staff are uncaring is very disappointing to hear. With regards to the rubbish this had been a problem and has now been sorted and the bin men now make collections twice a week instead of once a week. We strive to give every child in our care the very best experience as they begin their learning journey through the education system. We do not consider ourselves practical or acceptable. We will continue to strive to deliver outstanding care to all of the children

Our daughter joined Cherubins at 9 months and settled in really quickly. She is 18 months old now and loves going to nursery, she even runs to greet her key workers on arrival. She enjoys the food, the outside facilities and the endless toys. The people however are what makes Cherubins such a fantastic
place. Two staff members in particular and many many more make it a very happy experience for our daughter. Would certainly recommend this nursery.

My both children went to Cherubins and left in September for school.
Very caring and accommodating team members from unqualified staff all the way to managements.
I never felt uncomfortable when I was dropping them.

This was, honestly, not my 1st choice. When my first choice fell through, I came to Cherubins Day Nursery for a visit and fell in love with it that same day. I couldn't wait to sign the contract. My son started at the end of 2023, and we have not had any regrets. The staff are all absolutely incredible,
you can tell that they really care about the little ones. I love all the trips and activities that they do. There is never a dull moment. I look forward to the updates on the app, I am able to keep up to date with my sons development, and it has simplified communication with the staff. I would recommend them to everyone.

Child very happy at nursery and talks very positively about it.
Communication feels a little disorganised/sporadic.
Generally very pleased with the team. They clearly work very hard and put on lots of events for the kids.

Amazing key workers.

We're really happy with Cherubins, the staff are all very friendly and really care about the children, and we've seen our son progress so much since he's been there. One thing that really makes them stand out is the number and variety of trips they do - he's been to the science museum, pantomime, beach
and diggerland to name just a few - which is something other nurseries don't seem to do.

Loving, warm and welcoming nursery. Our little boy has been going to Cherubins Day Nursery for two years and loves it. He's 3 now, and often suprises us with the things he has learnt at nursery, such as alphabet, shapes, numbers and tracing. We are very happy here!
