The spacious Bright Horizons (Formerly Yellow Dot) Andover Day Nursery and Preschool has been mindfully designed to support your child’s development from the age of 3 months to 5 years.

They have five large rooms filled with the best resources for each child’s age and stage. Whether that is a stimulating sensory area in the baby room, a messy play area, or a construction area to improve creative cognition, they take care to nurture the development of each individual child through fun and engaging means.

Outside, the nursery boasts a large garden. This is split into age groups to ensure the younger children can enjoy outdoor exploration in a safe environment. Older children benefit from a sand pit, climbing equipment, planting areas for gardening and a large mud kitchen. An enriching Ready for School programme gives every child the opportunity to gain knowledge and confidence to thrive in school and beyond.

All-inclusive fees, which include all meals, snacks, nappies and wipes, give you less to prepare in the morning.

I am exceedingly pleased with the level of care and attention my little one has received from attending Bright Horizons Andover Day Nursery and Preschool from the baby room, through the transition room all the way to the preschool room.
The members of staff are always happy to talk in detail about
the day and are overjoyed to share my little one's wins for the day.
In the preschool room, the children always have lots of options to choose from and the staff love to engage in whatever special interest my little one has in the moment. The room itself is large with plenty of different areas set out and has excellent access to the large outdoor play area which the children have free access to.
The communication from the nursery has been excellent and I haven't had any problems in all the time we have been attending. Staff are happy to accept feedback and act quickly to rectify any issues.

My son started going to this nursery back in 2016 and my daughter started in 2019. They have both had a wonderful experience there. When I pick up my daughter, my son still loves seeing the staff. The staff are lovely, so friendly and professional and easy to talk to. Both my children had hearing issues
but the staff were so accommodating to their needs and helped with their developing speech. Like most nurseries, the prices are not cheap, but I do think this place is worth the money. The food is nutritional and accommodating for dietary needs, my kids never come away hungry. The garden really encourages exploration and if my daughter isn't dirty then I wonder what she has been doing all day! It will actually be sad when my daughter leaves to start school in September, but I know she has had the best time.

Absolutely outstanding service from everyone in the team. The staff clearly care about the children and always seem to be happy and engaged with the progress of your child. My daughter has been going for the past year and a half and has really bonded with the staff. The nursery is always clean and they
ensure the children have plenty of activities to help them develop. Couldn't say a bad thing about them.

I cannot express how pleased I am that I chose Bright Horizons as the nursery to send my little boy to. My son started back in February and the progress I've seen in his understanding, speech and socialisation skills are incredible. He's been counting on his fingers, showing a massive interest in reading
and eating foods that I would have had to plead him to eat at home. I look forward to seeing what new skills he's learnt each week.
Never once have I felt worried in regards to his safety, just taking a tour around the nursery before we enrolled, you could see the safety protocols they have in place. All the staff are so incredible, especially the toddler room manager and the nursery room manager. Nothing is ever a pain for them, when I messaged to see how he is, there's always a speedy reply. My son talks about his key person all the time and knowing he feels safe and cared for by her, is all I could ask for.

Our daughter started in March 2022 and the nursery have been amazing! They have supported her settling in, as well as us parents. She loves going in every day and there is always fun activities set up for her to enjoy. Staff are so attentive and caring, we couldn't ask for a better nursery! We have
just attended a great open day and the range of activities set up was amazing. Our daughter had great fun and we loved being able to speak to the staff as well as exploring the other rooms.

Our daughter started in November 2022. She'd been in a child-minding setting before starting. Since then, she has continued to thrive in all aspects, but this has mostly been noted by us in her speech and methods of play. The staff have been so accommodating from the word go. Her settling-in sessions
were arranged well and rearranged when we were struck with Covid. They're all so welcoming and any issues our daughter has had, they've listened and worked with us to get the best outcome for her. They keep you up to date throughout the day via the app and post observations that show what the children have been doing. It's really lovely to see how much they genuinely care. We're very pleased with our choice and know our daughter will continue to grow and thrive here until she starts school.

Our son has thrived since joining at the end of last year and has been building fantastic relationships with the staff. All the staff are so friendly, accommodating and helpful! When we had issues with our son's sleep before starting, we were given lots of advice and felt like the room leaders really
were working with us so we could establish a better routine. The extra level of care and consideration given is so reassuring and puts my mind at ease when mum-guilt creeps in. Our son's vocabulary has come on leaps and bounds, he gets excited by all the new activities that might be in store each day and has built a great relationship with his key person.

The team at the nursery are very friendly, always welcoming us with a smile. They clearly care about the children's wellbeing and put a lot of effort into their learning and development. Our child absolutely loves going, which says everything about the facility. Our child has shown constant improvement
in all aspects of their development, especially with using Makaton to aid communication and learning to be more independent. The nursery's communication is great with the introduction of the new app, so we can now easily see how our child is doing throughout the day.

We have had a fantastic experience with this wonderful nursery, I cannot recommend it highly enough! My youngest daughter started at 17 months and settled in so well, staff are warm, caring and know each of the children really well. Our daughter has never had any reluctance to go in and usually heads
straight into the room for a cuddle with one of the staff. We get great feedback on the activities she has been doing throughout the day. On the occasions when she has been poorly while at nursery I have felt confident in the staff's ability to care for her and contact me when appropriate. She eats well at nursery, the menu is varied and clearly, the food is tasty! I would also like to praise the admin side of the team - they were great at responding to my questions before we moved to Andover, and were always available and friendly. Thank you to the whole team!

Couldn't ask for a better team looking after my daughter. Since day one (9 months old), she has come on leaps and bounds in their care. At drop off, it is clear that all the staff are so caring towards all the children in the setting, taking in all their individual needs. The management team are brilliant
at communicating with all the parents, whether that be through the app or via telephone. I would recommend this nursery to all my friends with children.

We couldn’t be happier with Bright Horizons Andover. Our son, who has a genetic condition suffers with developmental delay. Since starting at this nursery/pre-school he has come on leaps and bounds educationally and socially. All the staff genuinely care about the kids, they get so involved, are inclusive
to all and just generally do a fantastic job. Thank you so much to everyone, we’ll be sad to leave you in September for ‘big school’. We’d highly recommend this place to anyone.

I’ve had a relationship with the Andover Nursery since 2017 and they’ve looked after two of my children. One is now in year R of infant school and thanks to all the team did with him over the years, he made the transition from nursery to school, as an extremely confident and capable little chap.
My
smaller pal is still on her journey with the nursery and is thoroughly enjoying her time there. She describes her key people as her best friends. The team have always taken the time to really understand both of my children and engage them in ways that allow them to be themselves, whilst still trying to instil the values that will eventually see them move into the wider big world of school.

My daughter has been attending since the Yellow Dot days and we have found this nursery to be extremely good in every possible way. As parents we have noticed a continued improvement in our daughter's development and everyday she looks forward to nursery to see her friends and teachers. The team have

My daughter started really unsettled which I found really hard not being able to see and comfort her but the staff in her room are so lovely and have helped her come on leaps and bounds since joining. The girls at the nursery who look after my granddaughter are absolutely amazing. Her key person is always on top form keeping me updated with the things she gets up to. The hand over is always a delight. The girls know exactly who I am and always say "here's nanny" which makes me feel wonderful. My

Andover nursery is amazing! They keep you so up to date with how your child is settling in at the nursery. They share pictures so you feel like you are not missing out on your child day! The girls are lovely and you feel at ease leaving your child in their care, I wouldn't send my child anywhere else!

Jesse

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Jesse has been working in the early years sector since 2015 when she began her journey as a bank team member while pursuing her Degree in Early Childhood Studies at Portsmouth University. She completed her Early Years Teacher Status at the same university in 2016, after which she graduated and decided to work full-time in the setting. Over the years, she has taken on many different roles and worked across all age groups and rooms.


Her specialism is in Makaton, and 2020, she began her qualifications in this area, progressing through levels 1-4 and becoming a trainer in Makaton signing for babies and families. She now shares this knowledge through training across the Bright Horizons company and on social media platforms, hoping to inspire others to help children have a voice and be understood by all.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Charlene has been with Bright Horizons for 8 years and joined Andover Day nursery in June 2020. Charlene was the previous Deputy Manager at Thatcham.

Job Title: Third in Charge

Jess has been working at Andover Day Nursery since 2018. She started her childcare journey as an apprentice and has since worked her way up to Room Manager, and most recently, Third in Charge. Her specialist age group is toddlers - she loves witnessing their individual characters begin to shine through and their personalities develop.


She is a lover of all things messy play and encourages lots of mess!


In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, going on long dog walks with her golden retriever Athena, and spending time with her family and friends.
