Our daughter has been at Acorns for 3 years now and they have been amazing. They have looked after her, helped her and us, and been very understanding and helpful.
Very warm, loving and caring place. The best in the local area.
The standard at the nursery is very high. Both my kids have been at this nursery and have never experienced any problems. The staff are great and professional.
The nursery has been brilliant at helping my child settle in. She enjoys the activities and has formed lovely relationships with staff and children. The snacks and meals available are healthy and varied. Very happy with the nursery!
Acorn Day Nursery (Westcroft) is a wonderfully structured nursery, spaced out according to the children's age group. The best thing I like about this nursery and the staff is that the emotions of the child are very much of top priority. My little one had a lot of emotional challenges when she started off and the staff really helped with it. She is settled and happy.
Excellent nursery. Friendly staff.
We are so happy with her class and her teachers. She is always smiling and we can see her learning improvement. The pictures and reports are amazing and in general, we think she is happy here.
Fab nursery. My little boy loves it. Staff are all lovely, friendly and helpful. Very accommodating to change nursery sessions.
Detailed review and assessments on learners by staff are really good and helping us to understand and be on top of his progress. Also the daily updates on app with photos.
Acorn at Westcroft is a fab nursery that has looked after, educated, and entertained our 2 children brilliantly, from the ages of 10 months to 4 3/4. They are great at communicating about anything that has happened at nursery and getting back about any issues we have raised (like missing clothing!). They do regular training and it really shows in the variety of activities that they do with the children. We particularly like the forest school offer. Above all, we feel totally relaxed leaving our children in their care and the children often don’t want to leave at the end of the day!
My son has been attending Acorn Day Nursery (Westcroft) since July 2020. He is due to start school in September and I think I’m sadder that he’s moving on than he is! I can’t fault the running of the nursery one bit, from the management to Sarah the chef. Every member of staff I’ve come in to contact with has made myself and my child feel safe, happy and secure when at nursery. I can honestly say I can’t find fault with anything. It’s been a rough year for everyone but my son wouldn’t even of realised we were/are in a pandemic as his level of care has still been paramount to the staff even though they’ve been furloughed on and off and have their own families. I feel that I have given my son the best start to his education by choosing Acorn Westcroft so thank you ladies!
Both boys (2 and 4) thoroughly love going there. They're well looked after, motivated and cared for. Couldn't recommend it enough.
My son thoroughly enjoys his time at nursery. His key workers and all the staff are in constant communication regarding his allergies and have gone above and beyond in catering for them and applying all his necessary creams. He is always happy to go in and has made lovely friends. He loves talking about the array of things he has done at nursery and always looks happy in his pictures. The staff are always welcoming and cheerful. Thank you everyone at Acorns in Westcroft!
My child has just moved up his nursery class and the new room has been great. They always do amazing activities with the children and I love looking at the pictures on the app to see what he's been up to. The staff are brilliant, kind, and friendly, so I don't have any worries with him here, especially as he did struggle to settle to start.
Great staff who really take the time to get to know the children. My daughter loves coming into nursery and is always happy when we pick her up. There is a great variety of activities for the children to do and they are able to explore the room. They also spend lots of time outside. Food is also very good.
I am impressed with the management and staff's nurturing, caring, and professional approach to childcare.
Onboarding sessions and settling down were good. Most of the staff are nice except one specific person I feel could have been more polite talking to parents. It is too early to say if my daughter enjoys it there as we always struggle to send her to nursery.
My little one loves her nursery time, lovely staff and atmosphere. The staff take extra care and make sure the children have outdoor fun along with the indoor activities. Forest schools are the best as kids love exploring the nature.
The team at Acorn Westcroft are very friendly and have the children’s well being at heart. Since my daughter has been attending the nursery she has really come out of her shell and talks non stop about the things she has done during the day and stories about her friends. It is a really nice atmosphere and my daughter always comes home smiling. The range of activities they provide for the children is also good.
Both of my children attend the nursery, in two different groups divided by age. They are very happy there, and we're happy as they not only play all day, they learn a lot too. It's a great place to get your child well prepared for school. The daily updates we get via the app with the photo and an update of how a child is doing is awesome! I'm always informed on what they did on the day and if there was any problem etc. They go to the local forest on a weekly basis, learn a lot about nature and names of the trees, leaves and different grasses. Overall, an amazing place to get the little ones excited about learning through play.

She eventually returned to the private sector to better support her study schedule, this time stepping into the role of deputy manager, and she has remained in management for the past six years.
Katrina chose to pursue a career in childcare and education because she enjoys working with children and finds it rewarding to watch and be part of their growth and development.
