Acorn Day Nursery (Westcroft)

Fantastic nursery, my son absolutely loved it there and now so does my daughter. The staff are brilliant with the kids and really form strong bonds with the children. My son has just started school but has learnt so much and is so well prepared thanks to Acorns.

My son, Sam, has been at this nursery now for 4months and I couldn't be happier. The staff are absolutely amazing, they're so kind and warm to the children. I find they take such an interest in nurturing each child's needs and wants. And im very impressed with the food they make and provide. Even if Sam's teary when I drop him off I know hes safe and within a few minutes will be settled and happy. I cant fault any part of this nursery

My son Atlas(1yr 7mo) started here on April 1st, 2026, and the transformation has been breathtaking. He hasn't just grown; he's blossomed into a "Version 2.0" of himself! He's gone from a quiet toddler to the CEO of the playground-running, singing, and finding his voice. His appetite has peaked, and his comedic timing during peek-a-boo is honestly better than most pros. The staff are real-life superheroes. I get a daily "Atlas Briefing" covering everything from his mood and culinary preferences to his evolving social circle. They balance deep, authentic love with a level of discipline that has seen his interactive skills skyrocket. The ultimate proof? Atlas is at the door every morning, ready to ditch me for his friends! Knowing he is safe and cherished allows me to breathe easy. This isn't just childcare; it's a second home where they take "care" to a galactic level. I cannot rate them high enough-they truly represent the gold standard of early year education

My son loves acorn at Westcroft during his settles the practitioners were very happy to do anything to help him feel comfortable. Since my son has started we can see a positive difference with interactions and confidence we thank all the staff who are making our nursery journey as positive and amazing as possible

My daughter has been going to nursery for round 10 months now and she has grown so much, the staff are brilliant and the children always have access to everything they need to learn. The food that my daughter has while at nursery is nutritious and top quality.

Exceptional nursery, staff are always willing and polite. Kids are always happy there and come away having learnt a lot. I have been and co ti ue to reccomend this nursery to others. I was reccomendes the nursery from others too. The nursery is always tidy in morning but after a day of kids it can need a reset as expected. The app is excellent and management always willing to help and respond quickly.

My 18-month-old started at this nursery when he was 1 year old, and he has been thriving ever since. The staff are incredibly caring and supportive, and they made his transition from home to nursery very smooth.

I've noticed a big improvement in his confidence, social skills, and development. He enjoys the activities and always seems happy and engaged when I pick him up. It's clear that the team genuinely care about the children and create a warm, nurturing environment.

I have recently been impressed with how the staff listen to him and make nursery activities suited to his likes and interests. This includes dancing to his favourite songs!

I cannot praise this nursery enough! My child has special educational needs (SEN), and from the very beginning, the staff have been incredibly supportive, understanding, and proactive. They've not only taken the time to get to know my child and his needs but have also gone above and beyond to make changes and accommodations to help him feel comfortable and included.

The staff are amazing - patient, caring, and always ready to offer advice and guidance. They've made what could have been a very stressful experience feel positive and reassuring. The environment is warm, welcoming, and truly nurturing.

My daughter and I started in september and we are more than happy here. The staff have made my little girls transition from her old nursery to here very smooth and she comes home happy everyday. They always listen to what me and her dad have put in place and always follow our rules. My little girl loves it here and i can see that on her face when she gets excited to see the staff when we come in. They help with her development everyday and always have positive things to say. Thank you to you all for making us feel so welcome!!!

Our child's only been going for a month so far and we're already very impressed by Acorn Westcroft. The staff have been absolutely brilliant - always so kind, reassuring and genuinely helpful. They've gone above and beyond to make sure all of our child's needs are met, which has made such a difference to us as parents.

Every day is filled with a wide variety of activities, and it's clear how much fun he has while he's there. We've really noticed his progress since joining, both in confidence and development. It's such a comfort to know he's in such a caring, supportive environment.

We're so grateful to the whole team, but especially to Lauren, Eleanor and Courtney, for the wonderful care they provide!

We are so happy with the nursery. My child started when he was 17 months old, and it was his very first experience in a nursery setting. His key person went above and beyond to support him through the transition. She was consistently warm and attentive, always ready with a comforting cuddle. She made a genuine effort to connect with him by learning a few words in his first languages. When she found out we use British Sign Language at home, she began incorporating signs into their interactions at nursery as well.

I also really appreciate that there's a new activity for the children each day. The nursery's direct access to the garden means the children spend lots of time outdoors, which is wonderful.

The management and front office team have always been welcoming and helpful. I especially valued the home visit before the first settling-in - it made a real difference and helped us all feel at ease.

Everything from start to finish has been smooth and supportive - highly recommend!

We've had a fantastic experience with the team at Acorn Westcroft. What stood out most for us was the home visit, which was such a thoughtful touch and really helped our little one build early trust with the staff. Everything has been smooth and reassuring from start to finish. Highly recommend!

I also like that they have an inhouse chef and are served freshly made meals.

Westcroft has always shown great care for our two children. I fully trust the staff and my sons have thrived there. The daily range of activities seems great and I can always trust they receive a fully balanced diet when they go there.

My nearly 3 year old has been attending Acorn Day Nursery Westcroft since June 2024. When he first started, it took a while for him to settle but the staff were exceptional throughout this time of change and ensured my son had a home-from-hone experience. Staff are so caring, kind, we are always greeted with a smile when we come through the door. They want the best for each child and since attending my son's interest and love of books has broadened massively as well as his love of singing and dancing! He has also come out of his shell (he is quiet around large groups and tends to be quite independent) but staff have encouraged him to play in larger groups with the other children and role-play. I have seen a big difference in him because of this. He is talking much more than when he initially started. Staff have been amazing supporting our son with potty training. Management are fantastic and ensure the children's safety is priority. My son enjoys going to nursery so I can't thank them enough!

The staff members I have come across have always been friendly and approachable. They care deeply for the children and I feel safe in the knowledge that my children are well looked after. I recently viewed a preschool for my daughter, who is about to turn 3, and actually decided against sending her there because I felt that she had better opportunities for school readiness at Acorn. The children in all rooms have a variety of activities offered to them and my two children absolutely thrive at the nursery. There is always messy play out and they go outdoors in all weather. The communication with parents is fantastic. We get to see numerous photos every day of what the children are up to and have the chance to attend things, such as first-aid courses, which are very relevant and beneficial to parents of young children. All-in-all we are extremely happy with our decision to choose Acorn at Westcroft.
