Acorn Day Nursery (Westcroft)

We couldn't be happier with this nursery! All the staff are incredibly friendly and made our boy feel at home from day one. It's clear how much they genuinely care about his wellbeing and development. We always get a lovely overview of his day, and the app is fantastic for keeping us updated. We also really appreciate how respectful the staff are of our preferences and how they always involve us in decisions. The frequent trips to the nearby park are wonderful, and the meals are healthy, varied and clearly delicious - our boy absolutely loves the food! We couldn't recommend this nursery more highly!

As first-time parents, we were nervous about starting nursery, and when our daughter's settling-in sessions didn't go as planned, the staff couldn't have been more considerate, patient and kind. Rather than pushing her to start before she was ready, they took the time to really get to know her. They added extra settling sessions, tried different approaches when something wasn't working, and were flexible with her start date, all while reassuring us that we would get there together. The office team were incredibly supportive in making those changes easy for us. We're so pleased to say she's now settled and happy. Thank you to the lovely staff in the Acorns room for creating such a warm, caring environment. We're so glad we chose this nursery!

My daughter has been going to Acorns at Westcroft for 2 years now, and she wakes up every day very excited to go there! She loves the staff, who are all very friendly, caring, and attentive. In those 2 years, she has developed a lot when it comes to speech, vocabulary, motor skills, curiosity, and independence! I appreciate the staff for always briefing the parents on the details of the entire day and always keeping smiles on their faces.

Our little one started nursery in July and Acorns have been amazing. From the settle sessions to now the staff have been so supportive. We know our little one is in great hands, the staff always keep you up to date and show they really care about the little ones. Nursery was something I was really worried about but all the staff have been great

Such a great nursery. They serve the children healthy food, they've got great friendly staff working there and my son loves it. It's such good value for money too, £500 cheaper than my son's old nursery for the same hours and we do not need to provide anything extra including nappies or wipes. I would recommend anyone to bring their child here and we have absolutely no complaints.

All staff are very welcoming and truly care about the children. There is a strong blend of comfort provided to children mixed with promotion for independence and learning. Our nursery and staff are amazing. We've had three children attend over the last nine years and they've all thrived. The staff are incredibly welcoming and genuinely care about the children. Fantastic nursery, my son absolutely loved it there and now so does my daughter. The staff are brilliant with the kids and really form strong bonds with the children. My son has just started school but has learnt so much and is so well prepared thanks to Acorns.

My son, Sam, has been at this nursery now for 4months and I couldn't be happier. The staff are absolutely amazing, they're so kind and warm to the children. I find they take such an interest in nurturing each child's needs and wants. And im very impressed with the food they make and provide. Even if Sam's teary when I drop him off I know hes safe and within a few minutes will be settled and happy. I cant fault any part of this nursery

My son Atlas(1yr 7mo) started here on April 1st, 2026, and the transformation has been breathtaking. He hasn't just grown; he's blossomed into a "Version 2.0" of himself! He's gone from a quiet toddler to the CEO of the playground-running, singing, and finding his voice. His appetite has peaked, and his comedic timing during peek-a-boo is honestly better than most pros. The staff are real-life superheroes. I get a daily "Atlas Briefing" covering everything from his mood and culinary preferences to his evolving social circle. They balance deep, authentic love with a level of discipline that has seen his interactive skills skyrocket. The ultimate proof? Atlas is at the door every morning, ready to ditch me for his friends! Knowing he is safe and cherished allows me to breathe easy. This isn't just childcare; it's a second home where they take "care" to a galactic level. I cannot rate them high enough-they truly represent the gold standard of early year education

My son loves acorn at Westcroft during his settles the practitioners were very happy to do anything to help him feel comfortable. Since my son has started we can see a positive difference with interactions and confidence we thank all the staff who are making our nursery journey as positive and amazing as possible

My daughter has been going to nursery for round 10 months now and she has grown so much, the staff are brilliant and the children always have access to everything they need to learn. The food that my daughter has while at nursery is nutritious and top quality.

Exceptional nursery, staff are always willing and polite. Kids are always happy there and come away having learnt a lot. I have been and co ti ue to reccomend this nursery to others. I was reccomendes the nursery from others too. The nursery is always tidy in morning but after a day of kids it can need a reset as expected. The app is excellent and management always willing to help and respond quickly.

I have recently been impressed with how the staff listen to him and make nursery activities suited to his likes and interests. This includes dancing to his favourite songs!

I cannot praise this nursery enough! My child has special educational needs (SEN), and from the very beginning, the staff have been incredibly supportive, understanding, and proactive. They've not only taken the time to get to know my child and his needs but have also gone above and beyond to make changes and accommodations to help him feel comfortable and included.

The staff are amazing - patient, caring, and always ready to offer advice and guidance. They've made what could have been a very stressful experience feel positive and reassuring. The environment is warm, welcoming, and truly nurturing.

My daughter and I started in september and we are more than happy here. The staff have made my little girls transition from her old nursery to here very smooth and she comes home happy everyday. They always listen to what me and her dad have put in place and always follow our rules. My little girl loves it here and i can see that on her face when she gets excited to see the staff when we come in. They help with her development everyday and always have positive things to say. Our child's only been going for a month so far and we're already very impressed by Acorn Westcroft. The staff have been absolutely brilliant - always so kind, reassuring and genuinely helpful. They've gone above and beyond to make sure all of our child's needs are met, which has made such a difference to us as parents.

Every day is filled with a wide variety of activities, and it's clear how much fun he has while he's there. We've really noticed his progress since joining, both in confidence and development. It's such a comfort to know he's in such a caring, supportive environment.

We are so happy with the nursery. My child started when he was 17 months old, and it was his very first experience in a nursery setting. His key person went above and beyond to support him through the transition. She was consistently warm and attentive, always ready with a comforting cuddle. She made a genuine effort to connect with him by learning a few words in his first languages. When she found out we use British Sign Language at home, she began incorporating signs into their interactions at nursery as well.

I also really appreciate that there's a new activity for the children each day. The nursery's direct access to the garden means the children spend lots of time outdoors, which is wonderful.

The management and front office team have always been welcoming and helpful. I especially valued the home visit before the first settling-in - it made a real difference and helped us all feel at ease.

Everything from start to finish has been smooth and supportive - highly recommend!
