Acorn Day Nursery (Westcroft)

My child has loved going to nursery and I’ve seen a lot of improvement with his development. The staff at the nursery have been really supportive and make him feel comfortable. The environment is also child friendly which gives me confidence that my child will always be safe.

Would definitely recommend.

I'm extremely pleased with Acorn Day Nursery (Westcroft) Nursery and the staff. From the very first day, my daughter settled in effortlessly. Thanks to the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the friendly staff. The team's dedication in making the kids engaged with various learning and fun-filled activities is really appreciated.

She enjoys spending time at the nursery and the team makes it so easy for parents to be part of it all by organising various events - in February we had stay-and-play sessions where we could just join our kids for some fun time and explore the resources they use every day to play and learn.

Fantastic nursery, very caring staff. My daughter started in January and has settled in really well. They update every bit of information on the app and give daily picture updates too so you are rest assured that your child is happy. Love the fact that they take the babies out to the shops or playground - something I've never come across in other nurseries! She seems to be learning and developing so much since starting. She also seems to be having a wide variety of food and is loving the menu! Would highly recommend.

My daughter has been attending the nursery for a while and I've just registered our second child as well. The staff are just amazing! Always child-centred, responding quickly and so welcoming for children and parents as well. Huge variety of activities for children, excellent care and well-trained staff. Would definitely recommend.

My daughter started at Acorn Nursery in October 2023. Since starting she has thrived and has engaged very well. The staff have been excellent with her, she has additional needs and the nursery has used the resources in order to help with her development. The staff are very supportive and knowledgeable in regard to child development and care. We receive thorough feedback after each session which is very helpful. They all do an amazing job and my daughter really enjoys her time there.

Our son started going to nursery and so far his transition has been good. We have gotten daily updates and can see how he is adjusting to the environment and people. His key person has been very on top of this which alleviates our anxiety. Thank you, Acorn.

The nursery is really good, they are so understanding. Really supportive and overall it’s such a good nursery. My son really enjoys going to nursery, the staff are lovely, they always do such good things with the children for example taking them to the park, the library and to the shops.

Couldn't have asked for a more loving, nurturing environment for my son. He loves going to nursery and I feel comfortable knowing that he is well looked after when he's there. The staff are professional, the facilities are excellent and there is plenty of variety in the food that the children are given.

We love Acorn Nursery at Westcroft. Our son has been attending for 1.5 years and has really flourished in the nursery setting. The staff are brilliant and clearly care for the children and their development. The children are often taken out of the nursery into the local area which is brilliant. We would absolutely recommend Acorn Nursery.

My child has been going here for a year and had a hard time settling in, so the staff supported him gently easing in. I’m grateful that they had the experience and patience to handle this while also reassuring us as parents. Once settled in he started learning and engaging with us a lot more. They also regularly check in to know his interests to learn how to engage with him at nursery. More recently he has shown a lot of enthusiasm to go back to nursery after weekends/breaks, and it shows how comfortable they have made him feel there. They also supported potty training and were very encouraging of his efforts. All in all great care, thought and effort is put in by all the staff and we’re very happy with Acorn at Westcroft.

We've had a very good experience with Acorns. My son moved from the baby room to Squirrels in October last year. The team supported the transition very well. We get regular updates about my son which is great. The team has been excellent in supporting other aspects like potty training, learning, communication etc. Children get a lot of variation in food and snacks. I'd highly recommend the nursery for other children.

The Acorn Nursery is the best in terms of staff who take care of our child. They are very friendly and make an effort to know the parents to make taking care of kids more intuitive. My 2-year-old is completely at ease when he comes into the nursery as the staff more than compensate for our absence during the day.

Overall, I am happy with the care that my son has been receiving at the nursery. The staff seem really good at looking after the kids, involving them in various activities and teaching them good habits. Since my son started going to the nursery his independent play time has improved at home and he has picked up quite a few good habits. I am also very happy with the way my son is taken care of when he is in a bit of distress (when I drop him off at the nursery).

All staff members are really nice and caring. My child settled in so well into her class. The app is lovely and a good way to see what my child has been doing at nursery. Days outside of the nursery are really good; it helps with my child’s development, and she loves the buggy bus. Thank you, Acorn Westcroft.

Forest school and hot chocolates are her favourite days! It’s great to be able to see all that she’s been up to on the app!

Fantastic nursery setting with staff who are engaged and driving the children to learn new things with every session they attend. My child has gone from going one day to 2.5 days per week, and the change in her has been phenomenal to see.

I am very happy with all aspects of Acorn Day Nursery (Westcroft), the staff are great and always give good feedback at the end of the day. I like that Acorn invites parents in for stay and play sessions too. I recommend Acorn to other parents/carers.
