Hopscotch Day Nursery Lee on Solent is a purpose-built facility, with a spacious interior and approach that is child-centred.

Professionals ensure that children enjoy and achieve in all areas of learning. The outdoor environments are welcoming and engaging and offer ample opportunities for children to express their independence and creative skills.

The layout of the nursery allows for total free flow from indoor to outdoor areas with each of the playrooms having direct access to outdoor play areas. This allows the dedicated childcare team to follow and enhance children’s own interests and means that children are engaged in their play and learning.

Hopscotch have provided a safe and enjoyable space for both of my children to develop. My eldest a pre-schooler who loves the atmosphere and activities on offer but does sometimes miss more outside space than he had in a previous setting. Hopscotch made the transition easy and are very communicative
about development and achievements. My youngest started in the baby room and has settled in well with next to no issues, he enjoys being dropped off and the setting has been instrumental in helping him develop his social skills.

January 2022 - April 2022. A huge improvement in my experience with hopscotch.
More parent app updates received handover focusing on the activities they have been engaging with that day and the reinstatement of out of preschool trips which have been thoroughly enjoyed by the children.

An amazing space for the children to grow, with such lovely, friendly staff. My 2-year-old loves being at nursery and has different activities to do every day. Placing a child in full-time nursery can be quite daunting but the staff really get involved to know her as an individual.

More recently the communication with the nursery has been much better, a very responsible and approachable management team and much more updates via the app too. The last month has been challenging with potty training my son, but all the members of staff have been so reassuring and encouraging, keeping
me updated and always offering advice and support too. My little boy loves all the team and has built up some really lovely relationships with the adults supporting him.

The difference in Hopscotch Day Nursery Lee-on-Solent since the manager has been in charge, along with the deputy, has been enormous. Prior to January, we would not have enrolled our new born son into Hopscotch Day Nursery Lee-on-Solent. Over the last term our views have changed completely and we have
now enrolled our new born son. This is all thanks to the management team in place now. Nothing goes unnoticed and issues are addressed and rectified if needed. Well done and thank you.

Both my two boys have loved attending Hopscotch Day Nursery Lee-on-Solent. My firstborn attended some 7-years ago and the staff really helped identify and support him with his Special Educational Needs, so it was my first choice when deciding where to send my second born. He's been attending since he
was one and has loved every minute. He comes home full of tales about the fun he's had with his friends and often asks to visit pre-school on the days he doesn't attend. I have full confidence in the staff and management at Hopscotch Day Nursery Lee-on-Solent and the care they provided my children has been exceptional.

The nursery staff are welcoming and friendly. Good communication from the nursery. Our child enjoys going. The rise in prices is a concern and I hope this is passed on to the staff, I get too many emails from Head Office at times.

We’ve had a really positive experience so far since our daughter enrolled in February 2022. The team have been so accommodating to our daughter’s needs and we recently attended an open morning and were able to see her interacting with the nursery team, and see how happy, relaxed and comfortable she
is with everyone. It’s clear they provide a supportive and caring environment. They go to the park, have had baby chickens hatch and have been able to watch them grow, a variety of activities that supports a variety of development. From the daily care log, it seems a variety of meals and nutrition is provided and our daughter seems to eat better and with more variety at nursery than she does at home.

We have always had a great experience at Hopscotch! My son went from 9 months old to starting school and now my daughter has started at the same age, I wouldn’t choose anywhere else for them.
The staff have been great! The key workers for both my son and daughter have been amazing, they are the reason
we have stayed with Hopscotch!
I feel Hopscotch really helped my son grow, learn and develop during his time and I can already see this passion and encouragement with my daughter.
Hopscotch is amazing with allergy children, they took great care when looking after my son, he would always tell me about his red plate! Staff have already been great with removing certain ingredients from my daughter's diet due to potential intolerances they are really keen to support and continue what you are trialling at home.

My daughter is very happy and settled at Hopscotch. She loves all the activities and is full of smiles when she tells me about her day. All the staff are incredibly supportive and give regular feedback, together with photos, which is really lovely. Everyone is willing to give you time. My daughter
has really taken off since starting at Hopscotch Lee-on-Solent which is wonderful to see.

My little boy loves Hopscotch in Lee-on-Solent and is always happy to be dropped off every morning. He has such a good relationship with all the staff who all go out of their way for all the children there. He is doing so well and always surprises us with the things he learns. The cooking must be good
too as he eats really well too.

Everyone at Hopscotch Day Nursery Lee-on-Solent goes above and beyond to ensure the best care is given to all the children they look after. The staff embrace children with additional needs and make everything they do and need apart of their daily routines with very little effort. My child loves his
time at nursery and I will be very sad when it’s time to say goodbye and embrace school. I couldn’t recommend Hopscotch Day Nursery Lee-on-Solent enough. They are amazing!

My daughter started at Hopscotch Day Nursery Lee-on-Solent just before her first birthday, she is now in the preschool room. All the staff are amazing, so kind and caring and my daughter has loved her time in each room. She still talks about the ladies in the rooms she has left! I would thoroughly recommend
the nursery. I’m always kept up to date with what is going on. I feel confident and reassured that my daughter will be safe, happy, growing and learning everyday.

My daughter is thriving at Hopscotch preschool. After being at home with me for 3 years she was very reluctant to leave me, but the staff have made her feel so welcome and cared for. She has made new friends and always seem to have enjoyed her day when I pick her up.
They have a well structured day
with a variety of activities to keep them stimulated. They have healthy home-cooked meals, which has really helped us as my daughter was a very fussy eater before joining.
I would definitely recommend this nursery to other parents/guardians.

As soon as we stepped into Hopscotch in Lee we knew this would be the place for our daughter. At the time she was just about to turn 1 and had never really been left with anyone, so we were scrutinising EVERYTHING - yet the wonderful staff, environment and the children already there immediately put
us at ease.


Our daughter is now about to go to school and we are so sad that her time at Hopscotch is over - the surroundings really are child centred and clean, the staff are professional and yet caring (you can be sure your precious bundles will be getting cuddles while you are at work), the food options are great and the children are genuinely happy, my daughter comes home telling us all sort of things that she has learnt each day, she really has come on in leaps and bounds and it is due to the hard work and thought put into each day by all of the wonderful staff. We can't rate this place highly enough!

My daughter has been attending Hopscotch Day nursery since I returned back to work after maternity leave when she was 11 months old.
I chose Hopscotch in Lee partly because it was bright, clean, professionally run, and the menu looked healthy but sensible! The main thing though, was that I could see
that the staff genuinely cared about the children. The children looked happy and content and I knew that my daughter would be getting cuddles while I was at work.
I am very pleased to say I made the right choice. My daughter has now been in the baby room, Waddlers room and is currently in toddlers. She LOVES it. The staff have always listened to any concerns and fed back regarding important milestones. My daughter is extremely fond of all the staff.
It is lovely to be able to go to work, and not just be guilt-free, but actually know that the time she spends at nursery is really helping her development. Well done Hopscotch at Lee! You are fab!

I love this nursery!! Having recently moved to the area and returned to work full time I needed to make sure that my little girl would be well looked after. I knew that from having my walk around I wouldn’t be viewing any other nurseries. The staff are amazing and friendly. My daughter attends 3 full
days a week and has breakfast lunch and dinner here which is all prepared fresh and she has something different every day which is what I want. She is always so smiley and happy when I collect her. I couldn’t have hoped for a better nursery.

My daughter absolutely loves going to Hopscotch and gets really excited when I drop her off in the morning. She has been through the babies, waddlers and toddlers rooms since starting aged 9 months in September 2016 and each team of staff has been lovely and seem to really care about her. Staff have
been very willing to discuss any questions I have about her development and progress during handover times. They provide a good range of foods at meal/snack times and a good range of activities through the day. I really enjoy the Tapestry updates and seeing what she gets up to when she is away from me.


The management team are also really approachable and great at answering any questions, both in person and via email.

Sophie Connell

I joined Hopscotch in 2007 while studying at college. I very quickly found my own beliefs fell in line with Hopscotch’s ethos and began my journey as a Nursery practitioner in our Titchfield setting. After some time away travelling, I came back to Hopscotch. For 5 years I was based at our biggest setting in Botley as the Deputy Manager and gained my Level 5 in Leadership and Management in the Early Years.


I work closely alongside my Deputy Managers, Aimee Lewis and Maddie Stevens, together we share the same goals of delivering the highest quality of childcare. We know how important it is to feel completely comfortable leaving your child on the first day and my team and I will work closely with you to help that first day back at work run as smoothly as possible!
