Hopscotch Day Nursery Lee on Solent is a purpose-built facility, with a spacious interior and approach that is child-centred.

Professionals ensure that children enjoy and achieve in all areas of learning. The outdoor environments are welcoming and engaging and offer ample opportunities for children to express their independence and creative skills.

The layout of the nursery allows for total free flow from indoor to outdoor areas with each of the playrooms having direct access to outdoor play areas. This allows the dedicated childcare team to follow and enhance children’s own interests and means that children are engaged in their play and learning.

The girls in the babies room are welcoming and reassuring every day. They are informative about the day my child has had and although they are always busy, they always have time to listen to me. The environment is of outstanding quality and I'm impressed that it is made to look inviting for the babies
arrival. The menu is also of a high standard and my son is always happy with what is offered, especially pudding! The managers are also welcoming and always have time to chat. In my opinion, an outstanding nursery.

All three of my children have and are going to the nursery. I’ve always been satisfied that my children are well looked after and supervised. They always come home smiling and have had a good day.

Staff engage well with my children, rooms are laid out well. Outside space is brilliant. Lots of opportunities for messy play. Good range of meals and snacks provided. Very happy children.

A friendly, welcoming nursery with caring and professional staff. My children have thrived in this setting and their social, cognitive and physical development has been amazing.
The care they are shown and the nutritious food they are given is second to none. I cannot rate this nursery high enough.

From the moment we toured the nursery in 2016 I knew it was the perfect place for our daughter. As a nanny, I have trained and worked in a few nurseries and also cared for children in various nurseries. I knew what to look out for and Hopscotch really impressed me, and still do every day.
My daughter
settled in really well thanks to the caring nature of their wonderful staff.
The food menu is varied and healthy.
The children have a huge variety of toys and activities and plenty of opportunities to use their imagination.
Our daughter particularly loves the nursery pets - fish, giant African snail and guinea pigs!
I’ll be very sad when we leave Hopscotch in a few months to start our journey with our local school.

My son settled in well and most of the staff have been supportive. Issues have been resolved quickly and for the most part, the written recording of activities/incidents have been to a good standard. Management has been very good when dealing with minor issues and my son's key worker is a dream! Most
of the pre-school staff engage well with my child and myself during handovers.

My son has been at Hopscotch at Lee on Solent for 6 months. Even though he only goes 2 days a week, he loves it. He has a strong relationship with his key worker and a positive relationship with all the staff. Always greeted with a friendly face when I collect him.

My daughter loves coming to this nursery. The staff are so friendly and have such good relationships with the children. I feel so relaxed that she is safe and happy when I am at work. Her routine has been kept to by the staff and she has had amazing support with her potty training. She also eats better
that I do!!! Very much recommended.

We have used Hopscotch Day Nursery Lee-on-the-Solent for a total of 6 years. Both of our children have loved their time there. Our youngest son currently attends and has the best time. He loves the activities they do. He also loves the food. He's well looked after and adores all of the ladies. He has
made lots of friends too.

I have been using Hopscotch Day Nursery Lee-on-Solent for about 4 years for both my children. I have always felt that every member of staff looks after the children like they are their own. My children have always been happy to go and I think they really look forward to it because of all.the different

My daughter has attended for 18 months and has really enjoyed making friends and taking part in fun activities. She has had a regular keyworker who has identified her strengths and new goals. All staff are enthusiastic and have taken the time to get to know my child as an individual. My daughter is
always smiling when I collect her and she obviously has a close relationship with the staff. I have been very pleased with the care my daughter has received.

Sophie Connell

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2007

I joined Hopscotch in 2007 while studying at college. I very quickly found my own beliefs fell in line with Hopscotch’s ethos and began my journey as a Nursery practitioner in our Titchfield setting. After some time away travelling, I came back to Hopscotch. For 5 years I was based at our biggest setting in Botley as the Deputy Manager and gained my Level 5 in Leadership and Management in the Early Years.


I work closely alongside my Deputy Managers, Aimee Lewis and Maddie Stevens, together we share the same goals of delivering the highest quality of childcare. We know how important it is to feel completely comfortable leaving your child on the first day and my team and I will work closely with you to help that first day back at work run as smoothly as possible! Hi, my name is Ami and I started my Hopscotch journey in 2016 as Deputy Manager then Manager at our Gosport setting. I will be covering our Manager Sophie while she is on maternity leave.
