The staff are always cheerful with myself and my daughter and have been very patient whilst she went through a rather long and testing 'unsettled' settling in period. She now likes going to nursery!

Bright Horizons Hinchley Wood Day Nursery is a fantastic nursery. Our son (who is nearly two) has been there for almost a year and has done fantastically well there. The staff are kind, warm and friendly, and our little boy regularly comes home and says their names happily, followed by "friend" and
"good". It's wonderful to know how much he cares for the people looking after him. We're delighted with every aspect of the nursery, the team do a great job.

My daughter has attended the nursery since she was 9 months old. She is now 2 1/2. Both she and I are very happy with the nursery. She has come along leaps and bounds and they are really helping her development by teaching through play. She loves counting and doing her colours. The staff have always
been amazing and the manager is lovely.

I can not speak highly enough of the team at Bright Horizons Hinchley Wood. My little girl attends and my little boy has just left to start school and they both loved it from day one. The staff are friendly and nurturing and really care about the children (this was particularly apparent when my little
boy was quite seriously ill last year and the love and support we received from this nursery was overwhelming). There is always a friendly face to help with a query and the children are stimulated and encouraged to get ready for school but most importantly they are cared for in a genuine and warm manner and encouraged to have fun. I would have no hesitations in recommending the nursery to anyone - keep up the good work!

Hinchley Wood is a fun friendly and welcoming environment. The staff are always full of energy and life and can see the love and care for the children. They are consistently coming up with new fun ideas and activities for the children's learning and involve parents and carers when needs be. The management
team are friendly welcoming and accommodating.
The environment is clean bright and airy.

My daughter has been attending the nursery since she was 8 months old, and she has just turned three. She can sometimes be difficult to settle and dislikes change and new environments: the nursery have been brilliant at managing her changes of room and the staff have been wonderful at building relationships
with her. She is very happy here and she astounds me with the things that she can already do - all things she has learnt from being at this nursery. She can already spell her name and can add and subtract simple sums: this blows my mind.

Our family recently had an upsetting few months caused by a serious but not life-threatening illness. The support we have had (myself, my husband and my daughter) from this nursery actually bring tears to my eyes. They have been wonderful at providing flexible care in times of need and supported my daughter through times when she hasn't felt particularly happy. For this, I will always be tremendously grateful. I would never hesitate to recommend.

Bright Horizons Hinchley Wood is a warm, friendly and nurturing nursery with staff who genuinely care about the children, their development and well-being. There is plenty of variety week to week and a focus on outdoor play/sports as well. The pre-school is a busy (and boisterous!) environment where
the children seem engaged and very happy.

My 3-year-old has been attending for 3 months. He still attends another nursery on 1 day close to his grandparents, so we were concerned about him settling in here- we needn't have. It's a bright, open, friendly place. I'd signed him up to another nursery in Esher but on recommendation looked around
here, and was so impressed I signed him up that day. He's very active so vital to find somewhere with large, open rooms and big enough outside areas to run/play freely, which this does. It has the best arranged outside space I'd seen. The down time- children relaxing, reading on cushions after play is so sweet. There are little educational zones around the pre-school room which makes me confident he'll be ready for school when the time comes. Staff are lovely, cheerful and always put him at ease when he arrives. The kitchen smells amazing at all times of the day (!) main meals are amazing and teaching him to be more adventurous with his food. This is a lovely, happy place.

My child has attended Bright Horizons Hinchley Wood Day Nursery and Preschool since she was 10 months. She is now 27 months and in her third room so far and we've enjoyed each one. The staff are fantastic in all the rooms as are the admin staff. Always have a smile on their faces and always talk to
your child even if they aren't in their room. The building is always kept clean and the children have plenty to play with both indoors and outdoors. My daughter almost always eats all of her meals (sometimes two helpings) so it must be good! She comes home singing all sorts of songs and saying new words, so I know she is developing well at the nursery.
I've never had any complaints about the nursery and would certainly recommend to other parents.

I have two children at Bright Horizons Hinchley Wood and they both love it. The staff are warm, caring people who take great care of all the children. In 18 months I've used the nursery, I've never had any concerns about any element of their care. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursery to my
friends.

My eldest child, who has now moved onto school, thoroughly enjoyed his time here. His sister is currently in Pre-School and really enjoys her days. She is always busy and active and has lots to tell me on the drive home! The staff know the children very well and although the retention of staff has fluctuated,
there seems to be a real effort more recently to ensure groups of staff in each room are more set. The current staff work very hard and are always warm, friendly and polite.
It is great that they provide outside agency activities e.g Playball but I do feel that this should be provided and included by Bright Horizons themselves, especially at Pre-School age.

This was my daughters first experience of nursery and she has thrived here. In particular, she has made some great relationships with the staff, including the cook! There are always new activities happening and she participates in a wide variety of learning experiences. The staff know all the individual
children well, and this is reflected in how happy they all are at the end of the day when they don't want to come home!

My daughter has been attending this nursery for 2.5 yrs now. The staff have always been very caring and have provided a nurturing environment to help her develop and grow in confidence. My one-year-old has also recently started there and again, the staff have been great at helping her settle. They both
enjoy the daily activities running at the nursery.

My daughter has been here since she was 10months old and is now almost 3 years old. Hinchley Wood Day Nursery has been an excellent setting for her early years. All of the staff have a lovely nature and my daughter has always built strong relationships with her key workers. She seems to come home every
day having learnt something new and the fact that on most days, she doesn't want to leave, I think says it all!

Current Review Score: 9.3 (9.301)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.3 (9.301) out of 10 for Bright Horizons Hinchley Wood Day Nursery and Preschool is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.5 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.776 for Bright Horizons Hinchley Wood Day Nursery and Preschool is calculated as follows: ( (85 Excellents x 5) + (20 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 107 Ratings = 4.776
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.525 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Bright Horizons Hinchley Wood Day Nursery and Preschool is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 72 number of registered child places is 14.4. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 14.4 = 0.625
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
