I am more than happy to recommend this nursery, my granddaughter loves all the staff and enjoys all the messy activities that take place. She is very well looked after and the environment is always inviting and stimulating.

Hinchley Wood feels like a small nursery, with a personal approach despite being part of a large network. The staff are helpful and friendly. My 8-month-old loves his time in nursery and is very stimulated when there.

They are such an amazing nursery! The staff are so lovely to deal with and always so helpful. My son has been attending the baby room since May 2016 and he absolutely loves it there. I feel so reassured leaving him there with the staff as they are so good with the babies. The staff are so attentive
of the children and creative with the activities they do with them. The premises are also the best I have seen. They are very modern and always clean and the meals they get are also very impressive and wholesome. My son often has second helpings which speaks for itself! I will definitely be sending my second child here. Keep up the great work guys!

Great space and building. consistent staff who clearly care about the children. Good leadership. Food must be good as my daughter always has seconds .

I feel comfortable leaving my daughter there and really like the feedback I receive and assistance when required.

My daughter has been at this

nursery nearly 2 years and the management seem to continually look at how to improve.

My children have been at Hinchley Wood for approximately 6 months. Both of them absolutely love going to nursery and have made fantastic progress in their personal growth and development. My oldest son now eats vegetables!! We are really impressed with the quality of care and guidance provided by all
of the teachers. I can highly recommend this nursery school. Well done to the manager and her team!

We moved from Ireland in May 2016 and we were very attached to our previous nursery. I was so concerned about starting a new nursery in a new country but from day one I realised we had chosen the perfect nursery. I have a 3 year and 4-year-old and both were so happy in Hinchley Wood. Their day is filled
with fun are appropriate activities, healthy food and lots of outdoor play and exercise. We are always kept informed about the children's activities on a weekly basis. I certainly would have no hesitation in recommending this nursery to any other parent.

The staff at in pre-school are amazing. My son started with them in September and found it hard to settle at first. The staff couldn't have done more to reassure us, providing extra settling in sessions to ensure when he did his first full day we were not worried at all. The communication between pre-school
and us is fantastic. Both on a daily basis when staff will alway have time to answer questions when we drop off and pick up and regular emails on what pre-school have been up to and what is coming up. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bright Horizons Hinchley Wood Day Preschool to anyone.

My 2 young children have been at this day nursery and pre-school full time for 2 months and we couldn't be happier. The staff have gone above and beyond to make sure that my children have both settled in well and they are both thriving. The building and facilities are fantastic and the staff are friendly,
competent, fun and caring. Bright Horizons Hinchley Wood has provided all of the peace of mind working parents like us look for in a nursery and pre-school.

I'm very happy to send my boys to nursery because I feel they are nurtured, inspired, safe and have fun here. The staff are mindful of the responsibility they undertake and do it with a smile on their faces and in a gentle, encouraging manner - so the children feel happy, confident and settled. The
food is excellent and the activities are many and varied with a constant drive to make their learning environment as useful and productive as possible. I can't imagine being happy sending them anywhere else. I feel they are safe and happy here - which makes me happy.

My daughter has been at this nursery for around three years. We love it. She loves it. We are gutted she now has to leave here and go to school. The staff are very kind. My girl has forged genuine relationships with the staff members and other children. The managers are lovely, they have really taken
the time to get to know my daughter and have gone over and above on many occasions for her. We love Bright Horizons Hinchley Wood. Highly recommended.

Our daughter first and foremost was very happy here. She knew all the children and staff by name and it gave her such a good start to being part of a community. When I picked her up other children would say to her that her dad was here to pick up. This environment, in my view, is directly related to
the open way this nursery is managed. Staff were open, friendly and feedback was always listened to and acted upon. Learning was viewed as important but being part of a community even more so - a key skill in life. This should be well valued by other parents thinking of this nursery for their children.

I would be very happy to recommend this nursery. The staff are professional, friendly, fun and very caring towards the children. Many of them have been with the nursery a number of years which I think says a lot about the management team. The environment is clean and bright with plenty of outdoor space
and the food is great. The children are always busy with activities and having fun outside.

I have two children at the nursery, one in the babies and the other in pre-school. There is always a stimulating schedule of activities for the children and the children do not get bored. Safeguarding is taken very seriously, as are the needs of children with allergies. The staff show genuine affection
and interest in the children. The facilities and toys are excellent, as is the purpose built building. There is good outdoor play space too. Parents are regularly invited to participate in nursery life and activities. It is expensive, but in my opinion you are getting the very best nursery care for your child and worth the money.

My daughter started the nursery in 2013 in the Preschool room. She settled in very quickly and loved the staff that looked after her. She thoroughly enjoyed coming to nursery! The staff were always welcoming and my daughter always came home telling me various stories about the fun activities she had
taken part in throughout the day. My daughter wasn't very confident with physical activities and the staff really encouraged this area of her development. I would highly recommend this nursery.

My daughters both left to go to school in September and they have both loved the nursery. The team are fantastic and extremely hard working. The girls felt comfortable, excited and happy within the surroundings and as a mother this was so reassuring for me when leaving them. All the team were very
polite and helpful. I was very sad when it came to the girls moving school as this meant moving from somewhere they were comfortable, happy and used to.
Overall I couldn't say a bad word about the nursery and if I had to choose a nursery setting over again it would 100 per cent choose here.

I am very happy with the nursery environment and the care for my child. The staff team are very approachable and friendly at all times. They provide nurturing care for not only my child all children throughout the nursery. They are always very pleasant and smiley even when passing by in the corridor
they always acknowledge your presences. Any questions and queries I have are fully answered and my feedback at the end of the day is always thorough.
As she is my first and only and in the beginning I struggled with the thought of leaving her but now I couldn't think of a safer place to leave her after seeing how happy she is and excited when walking into the nursery and her room.
The management team are friendly and approachable and are always willing to help and cater if for any additional needs I have.
I am overall very happy with the nursery and with the progress and relationships she is making from such a young age and I look forward to seeing her further within the setting.

My son has been at Bright Horizons in Hinchley Wood for 4 months now and every single encounter with the nursery has been absolutely brilliant. They made the settling in period go really smoothly (for all of us!) and ever since we have been impressed with the level of care from the staff, the cleanliness
of the building and the friendliness of the reception staff. We really feel that our little boy is in very safe hands and that everyone he comes into contact with whilst he is there has his best interests at heart. Both his key workers are just wonderful and we feel very comfortable leaving him with them. He adores both of them and this gives us peace of mind when we are both at work.

Current Review Score: 9.3 (9.301)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.3 (9.301) out of 10 for Bright Horizons Hinchley Wood Day Nursery and Preschool is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.5 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.776 for Bright Horizons Hinchley Wood Day Nursery and Preschool is calculated as follows: ( (85 Excellents x 5) + (20 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 107 Ratings = 4.776
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.525 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Bright Horizons Hinchley Wood Day Nursery and Preschool is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 72 number of registered child places is 14.4. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 14.4 = 0.625
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
