Holyrood Nursery Princes Dock is an all-inclusive nursery offering a state-of-the-art interior for early years learning, with well-equipped outdoor play and staff who are passionately committed to a child's well-being and key early years learning goals.

Holyrood Nursery is located in the Princes Dock development next door to a high-end hotel, neighbouring many prime businesses, luxury apartments and the new cruise liner facility. An ideal location for the drop-off and collection of children.

Purposely-designed to provide an exciting and fun learning atmosphere from birth to five years of age, the nursery takes on board any specific concerns parents have and are open to additional services that might benefit their customers.

My daughter started here at Princes Dock in April 2023 when she was 9 months old. After a previous not-so-great experience in a different nursery, I was very nervous about trying somewhere new but, after reading great reviews and a lovely show around with the baby room leader I felt comfortable and
relaxed from the get-go. The initial visit to the nursery was lovely, we completed an all about me where I was able to explain everything the room needed to know about my daughter, this also, made me feel at ease. My daughter follows a baby-led weaning diet and the nursery and chef were very accommodating with this ensuring all her meals were prepared to my expectations.
My daughter has been going to Holyrood Nursery Prince Dock now for 3 months and she is absolutely loving it, She has amazing bonds with all the staff and she gets so excited when we walk to her nursery. I am so pleased with the care my child is receiving from Princes Dock and wouldn't choose anywhere else from her!

Our daughter went to Holyrood Nursery. Best decision. It provided an exceptional environment for her growth and development. The staff were amazing. They were nurturing, patient, and attentive to her needs. It was evident that they genuinely cared. Their dedication made us feel she was in good hands.
We received updates on her daily activities and progress via an app. She was exposed to a variety of stimulating activities that aid to develop her cognitive, social, and creative skills. We were impressed with the range of educational materials. Outdoor play was an important aspect of her time. The spacious and safe area provided her with ample opportunities for exercise and exploration. The nursery was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with age-appropriate toys and learning materials. My daughter always looked forward to her time at the nursery, and we felt comfortable leaving her in such a welcoming and safe environment. They provided nutritional meals and snacks throughout the day.

Holyrood Nursery have been brilliant with my daughter. She has additional needs and is currently awaiting an autism diagnosis and they have looked after her so well. She is currently in pre school there and all the staff welcome her, understand her ways and triggers and go out of their way to help her
(even coming in on days off for meetings).
The staff share her progress with us and us with them and we have a great relationship. They are friendly, empathetic and always go above and beyond to ensure a welcoming, safe and friendly environment for our daughter.
She enjoys coming to nursery and we are very grateful to them - I will be very sad when my daughter leaves them as they have created a great space for her to be a part of and not only does our daughter love them but we, her parents also love the staff there who work very hard on creating a safe and happy space for all.

If you are considering putting a child with any additional needs into the care of this particular nursery please do not.
Luckily my child has a parent with knowledge of a care plan and what is expected of a nursery to care for a child with needs.
They are not inclusive and they have treated my child
with great disregard.
The new nursery manager is completely unhelpful. The nursery is massively understaffed. They cannot meet the needs of a child that requires any additional help or care. The manager lacked compassion and empathy.
The Operation Manager was very helpful and wanted to resolve it.
However, comments made by the Manager proved how she can disregard children. Children with needs should be met with kindness and a professional outlook. This is not the case at this nursery. I have been forced to report such conduct to Ofstead.

Really happy with the care provided at Holyrood Nursery Princes Dock. Our daughter recently moved up to the next room, my wife and I were a bit anxious as she has hip problems and we were concerned for her moving to a bigger room. The staff and management were fantastic and made us feel at ease about
the decision, a care plan has been put in place for our daughter and she is absolutely thriving in the next room! She is not at a disadvantage with not being able to walk as they added lots of things into the room to help her cruise. She loves nursery and so do we.

My baby wasn’t happy at her last nursery so I was nervous starting her here. She’s loving it and we couldn’t be happier with her care! She’s also vegan and the staff have been great with her dietary requirements.

My daughter attends Holyrood Nursery Princes Dock and is currently in Explorers room.
She quite literally skips in each morning and her face lights up when she sees the staff.
The app updates of meals, sleep and activities really does help us see and read about their time at nursery. It’s a joy
to open up the app and see those ‘moments’ it shows us parents how much fun they are having and how much they are learning.
The staff are great with my daughter and now we are able to go into the room to drop off and collect I am able to engage with them more about my child’s development.
I’m so happy with my child’s experiences at Holyrood.

I have not enough words to thank all the staff for being able to settle both our sons to the nursery. Staff is so professional, nice and properly look after our kids. When we leave them in the morning we just feel that they are safe, happy and in a good environment. It's like part of our home. Everyone
is smiling at the kids. Teachers are so good and I truly recommend this nursery to everyone.
The discount month helped us lots, and was like a bonus and Santa made the Christmas spirit more special. Thank you again!

I was so worried about my baby starting nursery. From start to finish everybody has been incredible and in just two weeks my little girl has settled amazingly and has so much fun. Cannot fault anybody at the nursery they are all so helpful and nothing is ever too much trouble.

My son absolutely loves attending Holyrood Nursery Princes Dock! Their ethos around loose parts and natural resources lets him use every part of his imagination during play! All the activities are based around his interests ensuring he is always engrossed in his own learning and development. They also
have a fantastic outdoor area for a nursery that is based in the city centre this is rare to find! Would absolutely recommend this nursery to everyone!

My little girl absolutely loves coming to nursery.
She's always happy and smiles and she adores the staff, especially her key person!
We've had to change our daughter's dietary requirements quite a few times which has never been a bother.

My son started Holyrood Nursery Princes Dock when I returned to work in August 2021. I had been anxious about him going into nursery and being away from me as he was a lockdown baby. I had nothing to worry about as the team in Holyrood are fantastic! Within a week or two of my son starting in his room
we noticed such a change in him becoming more confident and his development really came on. The app is brilliant as it allows me to see how his day is going and what meals he’s had and how much he has eaten. The nursery always looks spotless even after a full day of playing! My son loves going in which makes it easier for me to leave him, and the girls always make a fuss which he loves! The communication from the nursery is spot on with them ringing to get permission to give calpol and a courtesy call when my son bumped his head, which was great as they reassured me he was ok and when I followed up later in the day made me feel at ease. Amazing team and amazing nursery!

The manager and the staff are very easy to reach, they always accommodate any requests quickly.
My daughter settled in well, she loves the staff. She started in September 2020 at 10 months old and settled in quickly. Due to Covid she had hardly socialised at all so I am delighted how she has come on
and how much she loves going to nursery! She is 14 months now and it’s helped her confidence with milestones such as eating with cutlery, crawling, playing with others, learning and talking. She is about to walk too and it’s a great environment as they have normal furniture etc in the baby room so she can learn safely and explore all the fun stuff as well as normal stuff like using the armchair to walk and balance. The manager was great from the initial viewing which she accommodated on a Saturday for us. I feel like she and the staff really care about and know my child which is wonderful.

Our daughter has been at the nursery since October 2017 when she was ten months old. She's due to finish in August when she goes to school and has absolutely thrived here. The management team is responsive and accommodating of special requests, the facilities are excellent, with lots of space for each
age group as well as for the children to play both indoors and outdoors. There is a great emphasis on imaginative play as well as a library and outdoor classroom. Despite the pandemic, we've noticed a lot of investment in the nursery, which is appreciated. The staff have been just excellent and have really bonded with our daughter in such a caring way, to the extent that it has been a wrench when some have left and will be when she leaves in a few months time. Our little boy has just started in the baby room and the staff working there are incredible, particularly during the settle sessions for him as a lockdown baby unused to social contact. The Princes Dock team deserve an award.

We looked at quite a few nurseries in both the city centre and in South Liverpool but I knew before finishing my viewing for Holyrood Day Nursery Princes Dock that my little boy would be going there. It offers something a bit different to the other places we had seen. The resources are beautiful and
encourage creativity and curiosity for early years learning. The group spaces are super spacious with lots of room and a light feel. The staff are lovely and its really refreshing to see a diverse, representative workforce which includes quite a few male care givers. My little boy loves it there.

Staff so helpful. Always there if you need something /have a question. The manager is doing great in her new role and she has progressed so much in the past 2 years. Some lovely staff members that are there for a while now and make this nursery one of the best from Liverpool.

Can't say enough how great this nursery and staff are. My daughter struggled with shyness after this year of being anti socialised due to covid. Since she started a month ago the difference in her confidence is amazing and lovely to see and she has developed so much within that short amount of time.
The staff are always so warm and friendly and it's nice to feel completely at ease leaving her with them all.

I have over 20 years of Early Years experience as well as being an Early Years Specialist holding a senior role in my last position. I have experience working in Princess Dock many years ago and I am thrilled to be coming back. Education wise I have a BA QTS EYPS. My previous setting has achieved an Outstanding Ofsted grade as have other settingsI have supported.
