Holyrood Nursery is located in the Princes Dock development next door to a high-end hotel, neighbouring many prime businesses, luxury apartments and the new cruise liner facility. An ideal location for the drop-off and collection of children.

Purposely-designed to provide an exciting and fun learning atmosphere from birth to five years of age, the nursery takes on board any specific concerns parents have and are open to additional services that might benefit their customers.

The children at Princes Dock have regular access to the nursery soft play centre, which aids physical development and is suitable for children of all ages to enjoy.

Holyrood is a very friendly, warm, happy environment. The staff are amazing, they answered all my questions with professionalism which helped me feel reassured that my child would be well looked after. Also, there is lots of space inside and out for my child to flourish.

Could not fault this nursery, my little boy loves coming to play and learn. The staff are amazing and nothing is too much to ask. The baby room staff have helped my little boy settle so much and made me feel better when leaving. The management has also been very helpful. Overall this nursery is 10 /10.

Satisfactory standards.
Medium/high staff turnover.
Some members of staff are fantastic - 1 or 2.
Teaching could be better.
Excellent soft play facility.
Overall satisfactory/good. Room to improve but has got better over the past year!

My daughter has been coming to Holyrood Day Nursery Princes Dock for 4 years.
It's such a fantastic nursery!
Every week she loves coming here.
The staff are friendly and easy to speak to.

I really like Holyrood Princes Dock. All the staff know all the children, not just the children in their rooms. The staff are friendly and happy and ensure the children have a fun-filled day. As a mum of two children under 4 who is in full-time work, I don't feel my kids miss out on any activities because
Holyrood covers all those bases and does the things I don't have time to do.

My family has been very happy with Holyrood Day Nursery Princes Dock and all the staff there.
The setting is brilliant with soft play being my toddler's favourite feature through the winter months.
The staff have been lovely and supported us through speech therapy and potty training.
The day trips
the children are taken on have been another highlight for us and we have been impressed at the range of activities offered by the nursery.

Really pleased with the nursery on the whole, from the (baby) room and its contents to keep children occupied to the sensory area and many planned activities that happen during each day, often with a little surprise to bring home what little one has made.
The established staff are brilliant and know
their jobs so well. Always friendly and helpful as well as manager(s), always time for a sit-down and a conversation.
The meals are also healthy and varied, always exciting to see what's on the menu each day!

I am an international student, leaving my country and my culture and coming to a new place with a child is a concern for any mother to know if her child will adapt or not to the new environment. I cannot say thank you enough for the staff in the nursery. My daughter is very happy and learning quickly.
The environment encourages any child to settle and learn. Also, to develop their personality and being more social which I noticed in my daughter's personality (as she used to be shy). A year made me (as a mother very satisfied) that I have chosen this nursery for my daughter.


Age of 3-4 (this stage) of my daughter's age will be memorable and this nursery contributed by creating beautiful memories in her childhood.

Lynne is an experienced Nursery Manager who joined the team in 2025.
'Hello my name is Lynne Billington and I am delighted to start as nursery manager working alongside the fabulous team you already have.
I have over 20 years of Early Years experience as well as being an Early Years Specialist holding a senior role in my last position. I have experience working in Princess Dock many years ago and I am thrilled to be coming back. Education wise I have a BA QTS EYPS. My previous setting has achieved an Outstanding Ofsted grade as have other settingsI have supported. I have a true passion for making a difference in your little ones lives and look forward to working alongside you watching them grow into confident learners.
Personally I am a mother of 3 grown up children and a nanny to 3 wonderful grandchildren who keep me on my toes. I have been married for 35 years this year and my husband is a paramedic who works in the Liverpool area.'
