My daughter has been attending this nursery for four months, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. Every member of staff is warm, caring, and genuinely attentive. As first-time parents, we were naturally nervous about starting nursery, but she settled in far quicker than we expected and now
goes in happily each day.

We receive daily updates through the app, including what she's eaten and her nappy changes, along with regular learning and development reports. The staff always take the time to tell us how her day has been when we pick her up, which we really appreciate.

We feel completely confident that she is safe, happy, and well cared for. I couldn't recommend this nursery highly enough.

We are so happy with our experience with Partou. All of the team are amazing, and our little boy loves going. He's always happy to go in, and always looks very happy playing with his friends and teachers when we pick him up. They offer great meals for the children, and are always are doing different
crafts and activities that we get pictures added to the app each day to see what they've been doing. Would highly recommend to all, our little boy has been going since he was 6 months old!

Our daughter has been at the nursery from 12 months to nearly 3 years old, and it's been a great experience overall. Her key workers and room assistants have shown her so much love and care-she's built strong bonds with them, and we'll all miss them dearly. She's kept busy with fun, developmental activities,
and we love getting updates and photos through the app. The new onsite chef ensures meals are nutritious, though our daughter's tastes change often! The outdoor space is brilliant and used in all weather-just expect muddy clothes. One downside is the new parking arrangement since the school removed access to the teachers' car park in the evening. New parking area is a longer walk, and can be unpleasant in the rain (so parents tend to park on the main road). While that's not the nursery's fault, I do think the views of 50+ families should've been considered by the school. Overall, we're so grateful for the love and support our daughter has received.

My son has just had his last day at Daybreak Shepherds Lane after spending nearly 2 years attending there.
The staff are fantastic; they build up such a good relationship with both the children and parents. The outdoor space is great, and they get the little ones out there as much as possible. They
have built up my son's confidence so much since he started there, and I am so happy with the work and consideration taken to ensure he has a smooth transition to primary school. I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough! Well done to all the staff there, and huge thanks for getting my boy on such a brilliant path going forwards! We are so grateful and will miss you all dearly.

Our ten-month-old son has started at Daybreak Nursery, and as a new parent, I was very nervous about the whole experience. On arrival of my tour, the manager made me feel at peace, was very articulate and went into great detail about their particular approach and standards. The nursery seemed very natural,
safe and had a home feeling. All the staff welcomed me with a warm smile and it was great to witness them In action with the children. Our son's keyworker made me feel at ease and I have full trust in the nursery. They also keep me updated on my son's development, activities, and diet on a regular basis, so always up to date. I couldn't recommend this nursery enough, keep up the good work daybreak.

My daughter has been attending the nursery since she was 1 years old and absolutely loves it! When I was looking around for a nursery to send my daughter to I went from how I felt the staff and children were in the setting and I felt here you could tell the staff really care and the environment felt
lovely, children seemed happy and content! Following potty training for my daughter was consistent and the communication is always great! Would highly recommend Daybreak Shepherds Lane!

My grandson has been attending daybreak since he was 2 years old and I’ve been very impressed with the care he has received.
He is always so happy when we collect him and chats away about what he has been up to, which is great to hear all of the learning happening from there. The staff are always
so supportive of his needs too.
Would highly recommend it.

A great setting with staff and management! Daybreak Nursery has been taking care of my son for the past eighteen months and under their care my son has been able to develop in all areas. Children in the nursery are constantly challenged and driven towards learning while having fun at the same time.
The
way they care and prepare children for the future. Provides an excellent foundation towards transitioning to school. Me and my wife are grateful for their practice.

Since starting at Daybreak Nursery our son has enjoyed every single day. He has formed some wonderful friendships, and you can tell every single teacher really does care about the children, and gets to know each of them on a one to one level.
Their learning is tailored around their interests which
really helps them to engage, with the children coming home telling you all about their day, which is lovely.

Our child has been going to Daybreak Nursery for nearly two years and we have always been happy with how they care for him. They were very patient and caring when he first started and helped him settle really well. He has since thrived while being there and loves going to nursery and speaks so fondly
of all the staff. Every member of staff is friendly and we get regular updates on what he has been up to and how he engages with his friends. They spend a lot of time outdoors with great outdoor play facilities which our child loves. Would highly recommend Daybreak!

Our children have attended Daybreak since 2019 - the staff have been great, attentive, caring and focused on developing the children while they have fun. The facilities are great - especially the outside garden, allowing a huge variety of games and activities. During Covid, the team have been very supportive,
balancing the risks with allowing the facility to stay open for the children! Highly recommend.

Current Review Score: 8.4 (8.430)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.4 (8.430) out of 10 for Partou Shepherds Lane Day Nursery & Pre-School is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 4 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.6 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.792 for Partou Shepherds Lane Day Nursery & Pre-School is calculated as follows: ( (39 Excellents x 5) + (8 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 48 Ratings = 4.792
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.638 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Partou Shepherds Lane Day Nursery & Pre-School is based on 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.375
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 76 number of registered child places is 15.2. 4 Positive Reviews ÷ 15.2 = 0.263
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2015

I have worked at Daybreak since 2015 starting as a student while completing my level 3 nursery nurse qualification. I then went on to become the room leader of the preschool. Throughout my years of experience, I have developed my knowledge in Special Educational Needs work, supporting children to reach their individual next steps and building partnerships with outside agencies.
In 2018, I started my BA Hons degree in early childhood studies which I proudly graduated in 2021. Taking on a degree while working full-time taught me skills which I find very useful today. It has given me a wider knowledge and awareness of early years, discovering new ways to enhance children’s learning and understanding of how early brain development is influenced.

In 2021, I became a deputy manager at one of our other nurseries in High Wycombe. When I heard that the deputy manager position had become available here at Daybreak, I jumped at the chance of coming back, now becoming the nursery manager.

I am very fond of Daybreak; it was the nursery I attended when I was younger. It has been such an amazing journey seeing the transformation of this wonderful setting. The changes to the nursery environment and the way the children have adapted have been truly inspiring. My aim is to create an outstanding nursery setting for the children.
The staffing team here are incredibly fond of the nursery too. They also inspire to create of a warm, welcoming environment in which the children are able to thrive. They make the nursery feel like a home away from home feeling for both the children and the families.
