Kiddi Caru Day Nursery and Preschool in Soundwell, Bristol, provides exceptional Early Years education in a purpose-built, single-storey building.

The nursery embraces the Curiosity Approach and implements a unique educational programme including Innovate and Investigate, Move and Groove, and Make and Bake. Children enjoy well-resourced playrooms, a dedicated sensory room, and a wraparound garden with mud kitchens and climbing equipment. Meals are prepared fresh daily by the on-site chef.

My daughter has been attending Mama Bear's, Pembroke Road since April. She absolutely loves her nursery day, clapping when she sees the nursery. All the staff make an effort to say hello and goodbye even if they have not been in the room with her.
The nursery has been amazing through the lockdown following
all policies and procedure set out and have really made me feel settled about having my little girl in nursery through a pandemic.
An observation is done every week and always show my little one having the best time and always doing new activities.

My twins absolutely love it here and the staff are wonderful and very accommodating. I can tell my children have a genuine bond with the ladies there and the feeling is definitely mutual. Second nursery my twins have been to and this nursery stands head and shoulders above the rest! My twins have changed
and grown so much since starting and I believe it’s down to the person-centered approach

During the epidemic, all staff at Mamma Bear's have been kind, considerate and supportive to parents and children. I currently have 3 children attending and staff made sure to keep us updated on all their policies and procedures while keeping the children safe in nursery.
My children are always happy
to go to nursery and come home happy too!

My son enjoys his time there and happy to go in. He feels comfortable in telling the staff when he needs the toilet, they also work with me and help encourage my son to try food.
My son loves playing with his friends there and even during lockdown on our walks he wanted to go past the nursery to wave
to the workers and manager there.

Absolutely wonderful nursery, very welcoming to the children and parents my daughter has come on in leaps and bounds.
I am such a worrier and trusting someone else to look after my little girl was a major worry I viewed many nurseries, choosing Mama Bears Soundwell was most definitely the best choice.
They have taken all my worries away as I know my daughter is well looked after and thoroughly enjoys her days at nursery. The confidence she has gained is so fantastic, she is always telling me about something new she has learnt and that’s down to the wonderful staff. They take time when I collect my daughter to tell me all about her day and what she has eaten (she is a very fussy eater and they have been totally brilliant). Even throughout COVID they have been amazing I can only speak very highly of this fabulous nursery and would most definitely recommend to anyone.

Mama Bear's Day Nursery have been fantastic with my son.
He has some separation anxiety and previous to Mama Bear's he attended 2 other nurseries and did not settle there.
From the initial phone call with the manager, to the stay and plays within the pre-school room the whole team really took on board
my concerns and have been excellent.
My son will return soon and he is really looking forward to seeing everyone again and, best of all, I know he is happy and well looked after.

My youngest child attends this nursery, and as the youngest of 4, I have had the experience of a fair few nursery’s. This is by far the best I have come across.
The staff cannot be praised enough every single one is warm, welcoming, and happy, it is genuinely the highlight of my day dropping and picking
up my child.
The children are well fed, well looked after, with lots of love; the nursery is always spotlessly clean and well cared for.

Both of my children have now attended this nursery and I cannot recommend it enough. The staff team is largely unchanged from when my eldest attended which speaks volumes about how happy the staff are. They all clearly love what they do and are incredibly good at it. Despite both of my children being
a bit "difficult" at drop-offs, I have always felt completely comfortable leaving them there knowing how well cared for they are whilst they are at nursery.

We are always greeted with a smile and a hello. It's a very welcoming atmosphere and my daughter is happy to go. At the beginning, my daughter was sad to be left there, but the staff helped her transition and comforted her every step of the way. As a parent I'm updated with pictures, videos and daily
diary with a learning journey. The displays around the nursery are always bright and cheerful. I feel very connected, and reassured my daughter is in safe hands with staff that are patient and caring. She started at 18 months, and is now 4 years old. She has grown up with Mama Bear's guidance, and I'm really grateful for all they have done and never tire of all the songs she's learnt at nursery!

My son is very happy at this nursery. When I drop him off he’s always a bit upset to leave me but the staff always put him at ease. By the time I pick him up he’s alway very happy to see me and has clearly had a very good day.

My first child(my son).
Was a challenge for us to send him to nursery as he was very fussy.
The manager stepped in and took the situation in her hands and now it's almost a year.my son loves going to nursery.
All credit goes to the Manager and her team which works with extreme effort to comfort kids.
I'll always recommend and its a 5 stars rating place. Once again thank you.

My child has thrived since being in at nursery. She has become a lot more social and confident in what she is doing. It would be nice to be provided more information about the eyLog, what comments are expected of parents. The eyLog is a great way to keep me informed, especially as I cannot collect my
child from nursery every session.


It would be nice to know what things she may need help with at home to improve any skills.

All the staff at the nursery are fantastic, they have helped my once very clingy little girl to settle in and she now runs through the door without any hesitation. They have been flexible and supportive of me changing her days/hours when needed. I'm so happy we picked this nursery for our daughter.

Both of my sons go to nursery at Soundwell and they both love it. It's helped them with confidence, speech and all sorts of skills, I couldn't be happier with the level of care they get.
The staff look after them like their own and nurture them just as I would at home. I have already recommended them
