Kiddi Caru Day Nursery and Preschool in Soundwell, Bristol, provides exceptional Early Years education in a purpose-built, single-storey building.

The nursery embraces the Curiosity Approach and implements a unique educational programme including Innovate and Investigate, Move and Groove, and Make and Bake. Children enjoy well-resourced playrooms, a dedicated sensory room, and a wraparound garden with mud kitchens and climbing equipment. Meals are prepared fresh daily by the on-site chef.

Both of my daughters attend Mama Bears, Pembroke Road and are very happy there. Both have advanced significantly with speech and language and really enjoy the setting. Moreover, the nursery has been extremely supportive of the whole family since my eldest was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer in August
2021. The care and support has exceeded expectations and is very much appreciated at a very challenging time. I'd highly recommend to friends and family. We're very grateful to all the staff for their dedication to the children

There isn't anywhere else that I would trust to take care of and support my child.
My child started at the setting last year, she has additional needs.
The nursery has been extremely supportive, patient and professional, helping my child within the setting.
My child has strong bonds with many staff
members, she is non-verbal, but when I mention that she is going to nursery she becomes so excited!
I think that speaks volumes!
As a parent of not only a child but a child with additional needs, it's extremely challenging and the staff at the nursery are always going the extra mile to support us both!
I would highly recommend this nursery to anybody and I have done in the past.

The staff at the nursery are so attentive and caring. My boys struggle with new people and the girls are so lovely in supporting them. The manager is amazing and always available to help! Feel very lucky to have my boys attend this Mama Bears.

My child has been attending Mama Bear's since August 2020 and within that time he has come on so much the difference is staggering. I was unsure if the a nursery setting was the best place for me to send him during the pandemic but I can honestly say its the best thing we could have done for him. His
speech and social skills are developing nicely and we are able to keep track of his day using the parents app.
My son loves nursery, always runs in smiling ready to start his day. I highly recommend the team at Mama Bear's, Soundwell.

Mama Bear's, Soundwell is a wonderful nursery.
The staff are so caring and are fantastic at what they do.
This is the second time I have used Mama Bear's, Soundwell for both my daughters and wouldn't think about sending my children anywhere else.
Best nursery around without question.

Mama Bear's Soundwell is a fantastic nursery. My daughter has been attending for over two years now and loves it. All the girls are brilliant and genuinely care about the children. My daughter has formed a strong bond with several of the staff and talks about them all the time at home. It's a lovely
feeling to know they know her so well and she is happy with them. It's also great to receive the updates on the app on what she is up to. Would highly recommend this nursery to anyone.

Wow, what can I say? My little girl has thrived being at Mama Bear's. All the staff have gone above and beyond to make her feel confident and happy. She looks forward to going every time. I feel like it's a home from home for my daughter. Would definitely recommend.

The staff at Mama Bear's, Pembroke Road are absolutely amazing. My eldest daughter has been going there for 3 years and my youngest for a few months now. Both girls have ear to ear grins every morning waiting at the front door. The staff have been a massive part of their lives and they all care so much
for the children. I feel happy and content knowing my children are well looked after and loved so much when I’m not around. I couldn’t recommend this crèche more! They are just fabulous.

Mama Bear's Day Nursery (Soundwell) is an amazing place. They provide amazing care for children that attend. They encourage the children to engage in a whole range of activities. Each child is also allocated a key worker that they can develop a really close bond with. The food is also amazing at Mama
Bears and they provide information about what your child has eaten. They will also make alterations to food if they know that a child doesn’t like something. Mama Bears Day Nursery is an amazing place, pleased are our little one has developed some great friendships and is now ready to go to school. I could not ask for anything more from them.

My little boy is attending Mama Bear's Day Nursery and he is very happy. He made so many friends. When he comes back home he keeps talking about them and his key worker. All the staff are very polite and ready to help. They are always happy and the kids are happy with them! Thank you!

Our son has a great time at nursery and has been going since he was 9 months he is now in the pre-school room. He had a hard time transitioning between rooms but the staff have been so great with getting him to transition each time he moved rooms even through his tears every morning at drop off until
recently when he finally went in without tears. They are always welcoming and friendly to us all at drop off/pickups, giving us updates on his day and what he ate, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend the team here to anyone who needs a nursery.

I encourage all parents to consider Mama Bear's Pembroke Road. My eldest child came here, my youngest is currently there and has come on in leaps and bounds. They build up a positive relationship with you and your child, you instantly know they're in good hands. The whole team are always accommodating
to any concerns you have regarding your little one. My girlie is extremely clingy and only wants to stick to a select few. Personally I know how challenging this can be when you have to have eyes everywhere for other children. The team at Pembroke Road take it in their wee stride with a smile and just get on with it. During the pandemic being a key worker the team had their own challenges but wore it with good spirits and did everything they could to support families in these working roles. Normality resumed for the children that were able to go to nursery and the girls made it still feel like the same routine. Although scared myself, I had no worries about her as I knew she was in good hands!

My son started here in the baby room during COVID and I was worried about the change for settling in periods but the ladies were excellent! The manager and the team do everything to accommodate each child’s needs and the online journal is a great tool to see live photo’s and videos of what my son has
been doing in his day. This is his 2nd nursery due to relocation and, although I was initially worried about using such a large company, the nursery feels very local, bespoke and nurturing. Highly recommend.

Our daughter has attended Mama Bear's since just before her first birthday. From the start she has absolutely loved it. It is always daunting when you first take your child to a new environment, for both parents and little ones, but the staff have been awesome. Giving our daughter the support she needs,
encouraging her to learn and grow, whilst always keeping us informed and updated. I love hearing what she’s been up to, the staff genuinely care about her and her needs, it’s really lovely collecting her and hearing about her day.
Our little one is making friends and loves talking about nursery (in her own little way!) and I would really recommend it to new parents. It’s been a really great experience.

The team at Mama Bear's Soundwell have been amazing, especially during such a difficult time. My daughter started in January in the baby room and I was really worried about her settling there because of her limited social contract as a result of covid, and having to just leave her at the door. However,
the manager and deputy manager have been so helpful, and flexible. They understood my concerns and were able to offer extra settling in sessions. My daughter has now been there for 5 months and has a really good bond with her key worker. I'm so grateful to the team, especially the managers, for always listening to my concerns, particularly around dietary requirements and naps and being so helpful and accommodating.


I have already recommended the nursery to 3 local mums and will continue to recommend it to others.

All the staff are amazing at Mama Bear's. My 3 children have attended the setting at Pembroke Road and I would highly recommend them. The girls are so thoughtful, caring, friendly and very professional. Any concerns and it is dealt with.
The manager is amazing and will always go that extra mile to
help parents and also children. My youngest leaves this July and she is going to be heart broken to leave the staff. She speaks so highly of two members of staff, in particular. Dream team. Can’t speak highly enough. The team also follow the EYFS and my children’s learning and understanding was really good. Also kept updated about their learning and time at nursery via the app.

Mama Bear's have been very professional towards all 3 of my children. They have communicated with how each of my children have been and now have a meal menu outside their door. Even when I moved 30 minutes away me and my husband still stayed with the nursery and wanted to keep in the family as they
all know me. Sadly it will be the last year for my son as he will be moving on to infants school, I will recommend this nursery to anyone and will miss the staff especially the manager who has done an amazing job! Also, staff members who have been on this amazing journey with all of my children especially throughout the pandemic. Thank you!

My daughter started pre school in September and it’s been the best thing for her. She loves going and I don’t even get a goodbye, she’s gone. All staff are so friendly and really great with her. She comes out with a big smile on her face. So I would recommend this nursery for sure.

I’ve been using this nursery since 2015 and would definitely recommend it. My child currently there loves going each week, the staff are all friendly, it’s a very welcoming place and I’m happy leaving her there knowing she will be well cared for. She enjoys the activities provided and the interaction
