Situated in Jesmond and recently fully refurbished in 2018, the nursery offers exceptional care to babies and children aged from six weeks to five years.

This beautiful property has been fully modernised whilst retaining all its glorious original features creating a nursery with Tynemouth’s unique homely feel.

With four main base rooms and an enclosed large outdoor area, the highly qualified staff team provide quality care and education for all of the children.

The nursery is proud to have the prestigious Millies's Mark accreditation awarded in 2018, having this award demonstrates the nursery's commitment to going above and beyond the minimum requirements for keeping children safe.

All staff working directly with children not only hold a paediatric first aid certificate but are also competent in how to apply this in practice.

The nursery also offers lots of extra activities such as French, football, yoga and sing and sign. With a fully qualified early years teacher, digital learning books, state of the art secure door entry system etc., this nursery has so much to offer.

Over 3 years of using this setting, the staff have been friendly, caring, flexible and open with us. Throughout our time here, our child's learning and growth have been supported and we have come to know everyone really well. It has a family feel and the children are valued as individuals. Extra opportunities
such as termly parties and trips out when possible are available too. We are kept up to date through online systems as well as the daily face to face discussions. We moved house and didn't move nursery - that's how much we love it!

This was the first month for my daughter at a nursery. It was a first time experience for us as parents as well as she is our first child. The staff at Tynemouth Nursery were extremely helpful, friendly and cooperative throughout this first month.

Where to start! My daughter has blossomed in their absolutely amazing pre-school. Her teachers have been creative, kind, nurturing and have stretched and challenged her. She loves it here. It's been managed beautifully and the manager is really flexible and super helpful. I truly believe they are outstanding
and we are sad to leave for school.
Thank you to every single member of staff - for being so flexible and kind to my daughter. I am very particular about who looks after her and I trust them implicitly.
They also do wonderful extra activities that cost no more for us parents so huge added value - yoga, little kickers, French lessons, cinema trips - but to mention a few!

This is an amazing nursery. The staff provide a high level of care to all the children. I know that my son is looked after well there.

My son used to come to this nursery and he thoroughly enjoyed it. He was always happy coming home and telling us about his day and how much fun he had. He learnt a lot from attending here. It was lovely to see what he got up to throughout the day by looking on his learning journey. Staff were very informative
on pickups an drop-offs. In the future, we will be bringing our new baby which we are more than happy to do.

Tynemouth Nursery in Jesmond has a home from home feel and the staff are always very friendly, calm and composed and ready to welcome your child, quite literally, with open arms. They are always attentive to your needs and requests and nothing is too much hassle for them. This made the settling process
so much less stressful than I thought it would be and my child is currently thriving. It is great to be able to go to work and know that your child is being cared for and nurtured in such a warm and welcoming environment.

The second I walked into this nursery, I knew this was the place I wanted my child to attend, I didn't even look anywhere else!


The staff were warm and welcoming, gave us a lovely tour of the building and explained the different rooms. We were introduced to the staff who would be looking after my

little one and given loads of information.


We were made to feel at ease (As Mummy had a little bit of anxiety about her baby starting nursery all alone!), given a couple of settling in sessions to help me and my child to become familiar with the environment and were reassured for the beginning.


My child has grown in confidence and come on leaps and bounds in her knowledge and physical development from attending Tynemouth Nursery at Jesmond.


The staff are professional, I think the learning book that is shared with the parents is brilliant. I love how when I add something to the learning book, it is acknowledged and valued by my child's keyworker.


I cannot recommend this nursery enough.

We love this nursery. Caring staff. Great toys and outside equipment. The children know their routine. Excellent extra classes eg yoga. Professional approach to additional needs. Quick response to requests eg for extra sessions. Lots of opportunities to involve parents but no pressure. The staff seem
to want to stay. The staff know the children really well. Extra trips eg to the cinema when numbers permit. Enthusiasm and drive to ensure the children are happy. Thank you.

Lee Hall

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2008

Lee has over 20 years experience in childcare, with more than half being as a Nursery Manager here at Tynemouth Nursery at Jesmond. She is qualified to level 4 in childcare and is Health Advocate trained by the Better Health at Work Award Scheme.


She is a Mum herself and has 2 young children. She prides herself in providing outstanding childcare alongside an amazing, longstanding team who always go above and beyond for all children and their families. Together, they create a home from home feel, helping families to feel at ease and giving children the best possible start in life.
