Situated in Jesmond and recently fully refurbished in 2018, the nursery offers exceptional care to babies and children aged from six weeks to five years.

This beautiful property has been fully modernised whilst retaining all its glorious original features creating a nursery with Tynemouth’s unique homely feel.

With four main base rooms and an enclosed large outdoor area, the highly qualified staff team provide quality care and education for all of the children.

The nursery is proud to have the prestigious Millies's Mark accreditation awarded in 2018, having this award demonstrates the nursery's commitment to going above and beyond the minimum requirements for keeping children safe.

All staff working directly with children not only hold a paediatric first aid certificate but are also competent in how to apply this in practice.

The nursery also offers lots of extra activities such as French, football, yoga and sing and sign. With a fully qualified early years teacher, digital learning books, state of the art secure door entry system etc., this nursery has so much to offer.

We cannot recommend Tynemouth Nursery at Jesmond and their incredible team enough. We've had children at the nursery since September 2021 and over that time we've received consistently high levels of care.
All the staff are incredibly passionate and have given our children copious amounts of love and
attention, whilst fostering their growth and development.
We love the app they use, which is not only great for giving us a snapshot of their day (their activities, toilet movements and meal times) but also that it captures regular development observations and assessments. These are always a pleasure to read.
They ensure the children have exposure to an incredible amount of extra activities over the course of their week, like tennis, football, yoga, language and music lessons.
We'll continue to recommend it to any parent looking for a nursery in the area.

Tynemouth Nursery has been a fantastic choice for our child. The staff truly do care for the needs of each child. We get regular updates about our child's development and what they have been up to. Our child very much looks forward to nursery and gets excited about going which in itself speaks volumes.
I have nothing but praise and admiration for the staff at Tynemouth Nursery. They truly are such a delightful and welcoming bunch.

Our son has attended Tynemouth Nursery, Jesmond, for just over a year. He was really unsettled initially but the staff were absolutely incredible and made him feel at home very quickly. A year on his confidence has grown massively, together with his speech and language, and he practically runs in every
morning. Our youngest is due to start soon and we have no hesitation in sending him here.

I trust Tynemouth Nursery in Jesmond without question and know that they love my children as much as I do. I have had two children attend the nursery from January 2020 until the present day and have consistently been impressed with the care, support, opportunities and education that the nursery has
provided.
Both my children have complex food allergies and this has never been an issue. The staff even go so far as to make my little one's food look as similar as possible to the usual menu. We have had a difficult few years as a family and the nursery has been our rock.
I have recommended the nursery to friends and family members who have also been impressed with the nursery and all that it offers. The number of programmes that the children can access such as hartbeeps, nature makers, football and tennis helps assuage some of the guilt that we feel as parents because at this nursery, our children are never missing out.

My son has been going to this nursery for over 2 years now. All the staff have been amazing. My son struggled to go to nursery at first and got really upset. The staff were very reassuring. I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. The love, care, attention and support my daughter has been given is amazing. She is in a small, intimate room with two nursery nurses, who are incredibly skilled at their jobs and so hardworking. My husband and I were very moved when we read the first 'observations'
for our daughter. The two nursery nurses picked up on all of the tiny, almost imperceptible little things that she does at home, which showed us how much they know her. We get loads of regular updates throughout the day about what she is doing, including photos and details about what she is eating. They do wonderful activities like sensory class, tuff trays, art, music and loads of themed days. Communication from the nursery overall is timely and it is a well-organised place. We have had nothing but exceptional service from the word go. I know that there is somewhat of a waiting list at the moment and for good reason. My daughter adores the nursery and her nurses.

Since starting nursery, our child has absolutely thrived. The level of love, care and attentiveness shown to them by their key worker and the other members of staff is clear to see. Through constant and constructive communication, it is obvious that they know them very well indeed.
The app is a fantastic
way to see their development as well as keep track of naps and meals so we know what to expect when we pick up. The variety of the food provided is also highly commendable, and enviable.
All the staff are not only kind and supportive to our child, but also to us as parents. From settling in sessions to conversations at drop off and pick up, we are reassured that our child is safe and happy all day.
We cannot recommend this nursery enough. It makes one want to have more children just to be able to send them here.

Our son has been here for 4 months now and has grown so much in that time. With confidence, interacting with children and adults, eating, and we found his love of music. The staff are lovely and always keep us updated on his progress. They all know him, and he has no issues being around all the staff.
They do regular activities like Hartbeeps which he loves. We have already recommended the nursery to friends.

Our little one started recently and every staff member has been so welcoming, kind and friendly. He has matured so much since string and it is a joy to see how much he enjoys it there. My son enjoys his time at nursery and always leaves with a smile on his face. The team have been great at helping our son settle in and extending a warm welcome to our family. My son recently started at Tynemouth Nursery at Jesmond and has had such a great time so far. The team have been so supportive in helping him settle in well and they give really detailed feedback on how he's getting on, both through the online portal and verbally at pick-up. I love the pictures that
get sent daily, it is encouraging to see him so happy and to see the wide range of activities he is able to engage with. We also feel very supported as a family, our son has a term time only place which makes it affordable for us to send him.

All three of our children have attended Tynemouth Nursery at Jesmond over the last four years and we could not be happier with the care they have received. It is a wonderfully nurturing and homely environment and being a smaller nursery has a real sense of community. The staff are really warm and enthusiastic
and all have a lovely relationship with the children. They organise lots of engaging activities for the children including sessions run by outside agencies e.g. football/ tennis/ French and go above and beyond in terms of organising other events e.g. Christmas parties and trips. We have found them to be very flexible and accommodating and they have sensible and pragmatic policies. Our kids have all loved their time here and we feel entirely confident leaving our children in their care.

I visited no fewer than ten nurseries before deciding on Tynemouth Nursery at Jesmond for my baby and this is simply the best nursery in the area. The experienced team of staff are loving, kind and caring and clearly genuinely cares about the children. The management team have been really flexible and
accommodating of our work situations and always try to help as much as possible. I’m so pleased I chose this nursery for my little boy and I’m looking forward to watching him flourish there.

My son attends this nursery since September of last year. We are very happy with it. It took some weeks for him to settle, but the staff was above and beyond. He felt welcomed and cared for, nothing was little, so he easily felt in love with the staff (especially his keyworker, whom he still adores
to the day).
The activities are so good and help children develop confidence and autonomy. Our baby boy is now a very confident toddler, loves everyone in the nursery, and it's always happy while there. I must refer that as a vegan, from day one, everything was easy and good, We have never felt any resistance with our dietary requirements, and I'm very happy that my son comes home talking about what he had for lunch. Everything is great and I couldn't be more happy with the staff, the facilities and the nursery in general.

I researched many nurseries in my local area and this is by far the best. My little girl has been attending for six months now and I can't believe how much they have learned in such a short space of time. She now sits through meals using a fork, they have her napping with the other children. She is
trying new foods, and her communication skills have improved massively. She has started being vocal and also recognises all the staff in a positive way. Loves her days at nursery and I love the app they have where everything is logged so I can see exactly how her day is going while at work.

We are so happy that our little boy goes to Tynemouth Nursery Jesmond. The staff are all fantastic, so caring to the children and really get to know them so well. From my first visit the nursery felt so homely and a great environment for children with all the activities and the garden. Our little boy
has so much fun and has developed so much since starting nursery. We are kept up to date every day with the parent admin app, which we love! We couldn't recommend the nursery highly enough.

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2008

Lee has over 20 years experience in childcare, with more than half being as a Nursery Manager here at Tynemouth Nursery at Jesmond. She is qualified to level 4 in childcare and is Health Advocate trained by the Better Health at Work Award Scheme.


She is a Mum herself and has 2 young children. She prides herself in providing outstanding childcare alongside an amazing, longstanding team who always go above and beyond for all children and their families. Together, they create a home from home feel, helping families to feel at ease and giving children the best possible start in life.
