Situated in Crosshill, Glasgow, Smiley Stars Nursery provides flexible child care for children aged from six weeks to five years in a happy and stimulating environment. Staff are experienced and consistently trained to provide high quality care at an individual pace.

Smiley Stars Nursery - Crosshill features vibrant and colourful rooms, well equipped and furnished to meet each specific age group. Children are encouraged to learn and develop through a wide range of educational and fun activities, including music and movement, expressive arts, language & numeracy, science and computer skills. There is also a secure outdoor area that allows children to engage in a variety of outdoor play experiences.

Healthy eating is strongly promoted and children can benefit from a delicious and nutritional menu which includes a two course lunch and healthy snacks twice a day.

My son attends Crosshill and we couldn't be happier with the nursery. The staff are amazing and treat the children with respect, compassion, and give them all the care and attention they need to thrive. I wouldn't want my son going anywhere else. He is so happy at nursery and it is so clear to see how
much the staff genuinely care for the children. The management have been so helpful and so supportive as well, we feel so lucky that we got a space here! Would definitely recommend!

I am very happy that I chose Smily Stars nursery for my son. It's important to me that he be able to relax and enjoy his time at nursery while learning in a fun environment. Smily Stars has ticked all these boxes for me and I see my son thriving. The staff are extremely friendly and approachable. I
feel encouraged when I speak with them about my child. I love having the family app as I feel involved in my son's day and it's great to see pictures of him getting involved in activities. It feels like a colourful, happy place to be. My son is excited in the morning when I drop him off. Overall, I feel Smily Stars is great!

I have sent both my children to this nursery and the care and education provided is exceptional. Both my children grew strong attachments to the staff. I can't fault this nursery at all and would recommend it to anyone who needs a nursery place.

My daughter has been attending this nursery for a good while now. She loves going there and loves the teachers. Since bringing to attention my daughter’s struggle in literacy, they have made sure to add in more activities on this as I felt they did a lot of numeracy. Their outdoor space isn’t that big
due to it being a garden in a house, but they have good resources within the garden and they also have a few trips into the community (such as litter picking and handing food in to the food bank). There does seem to be a lot of staff leaving, which does concern me a little due to having loads of changes for my daughter, but the new staff have settled in well and have been a good addition to the nursery. Overall I love this nursery and my daughter enjoys it.

My son has attended the nursery since he was 11 months old, he is now 2 years old. He loves his time there. I only have good things to say about the nursery the staff are lovely, my son does a range of activities and we get lots of photos and updates.

Smiley Stars Nursery is fantastic. I always find the staff try so hard to entertain the children with loads of different activities. An example was recently with the Chinese New Year. My son made a Chinese lantern and was given a fortune cookie too. He also learnt how to say Happy New Year in Chinese.
I love that all the staff are very caring and try to make the children happy by having all these different things for them to do. I find that this nursery is very accommodating and has helped me with childcare by letting me add and change the days my child attends. I always feel effort is made to accommodate my child’s needs.

We have been very happy with the entire staff at Smiley Stars. My wee one is clearly happy to be dropped off and equally cheerful at pickup. Leaving your child in someone else’s care is always difficult, but I am glad to have the Smiley Stars team looking after mine.

Since Smiley Stars have taken over the nursery, we have seen lots of positive changes, such as improving and updating the playrooms, implementing new security measures and securing outside spaces. My children have been at the nursery since 2019, and all the staff over the years have been wonderful.

I have two children in Smiley Stars, one in the 3-5 room and one in the 2-3 room. The staff there are absolute angels. My son (2) goes one day a week, but he still has a great bond with his key workers, and they have been so supportive of him with potty training. My daughter (3.5) has been going three
days a week since the funding kicked in, and she has come on in leaps and bounds in that time. She can write her name, sing a million different songs and comes home telling me all about her friends and what they have been playing and learning about that day. The ladies take them on trips to the park, drop food at the food bank, and they've been out litter picking too. Outside space isn't massive as the nursery is in a house, but the trips offsite make up for this, and they use the space they have well. Food is pescatarian which took a little bit of getting used to the meat substitute products, but they both come home with full tummies, so can't complain. Overall, very happy with the nursery!

My daughter started in 2021, having been a Covid baby. She was very upset but the staff were patient and accommodating. She thrived while she was there and didn't take long to skip in. They helped with her speech and accommodated her allergies. They were good with allowing day swaps and extra days and
I found their location really handy, with plenty of parking and good transport links to the city.
