Situated in Crosshill, Glasgow, Smiley Stars Nursery provides flexible child care for children aged from six weeks to five years in a happy and stimulating environment. Staff are experienced and consistently trained to provide high quality care at an individual pace.

Smiley Stars Nursery - Crosshill features vibrant and colourful rooms, well equipped and furnished to meet each specific age group. Children are encouraged to learn and develop through a wide range of educational and fun activities, including music and movement, expressive arts, language & numeracy, science and computer skills. There is also a secure outdoor area that allows children to engage in a variety of outdoor play experiences.

Healthy eating is strongly promoted and children can benefit from a delicious and nutritional menu which includes a two course lunch and healthy snacks twice a day.

My daughter has attended Mayfield since April 2018. She loves the nursery and the staff. The staff members are friendly, caring and supportive. My daughter enjoys her time at the nursery and has become confident and outgoing since she has been here. I have no complaints and would recommend this nursery
to others.

Great nursery with fantastic staff. Both my children love it. Great balance of learning and play. They ensure the children have a variety of activities to help with development and this was clear when my eldest son left recently to start school and is thriving.

Both my children have attended this nursery and seem to really enjoy their time there. The staff appear to be committed to ensuring that the kids get the best experience possible. I have no concerns leaving my children there during the day and it puts my mind at ease at work all day knowing that they
are safe and happy.

A great nursery which I would have no hesitation in recommending. Having sent two children here, I have witnessed them both grow and flourish as a result of the care and learning at Mayfield.

My son started the nursery a good few weeks ago and I must say it's the best thing I have ever done was put him into Mayfield. The staff are absolutely brilliant and couldn't be any nicer, they welcomed him in with open arms. The difference in him is amazing with learning new things and trying to speak
a lot more, would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

My daughter has been attending for a little over a year now and found it easy to settle in - she has developed strong attachments to staff; they are very friendly, approachable, caring and interested to cater for both my daughter's needs and our's as parents. She receives one to one attention, takes
part in a variety of activities (craft, outdoor play, visits to the park and more), and they provide a varied diet. When I pick up or drop off my daughter they are happy to recap on the day's events and there is also a diary to refer to as well. As a parent I feel involved as we receive regular emails with details of updates on policies / events and are asked for feedback too. I have every confidence in the nursery to provide the nurturing environment my daughter needs to develop. I also see how my daughter laughs, plays and interacts with the other kids and staff - this makes me confident she enjoys it!

My son has been at Mayfield Nursery since he was a baby and has loved every minute of it. He is now due to leave and go to school. The staff are friendly and helpful. They meet the needs of my son whilst making his days fun. There is a high turnover of staff which for me personally is an issue. They
do however, have great core staff also, who are wonderful at what they do. Since appointing the new manager the nursery is 100% better and can only improve even more. They have a good selection of lunches and the kids have an input in the choices. The chef is very accommodating also. They get outside a lot which is my favourite thing about the nursery as my son loves the outdoors. They also have plenty of other activities for the kids to enjoy like dress up days (What kid doesn't like dressing up?) Teddy bears picnic and other fun events. I hope this helps to give a little insight into Mayfield. Oh they have very recently introduced a uniform which I also think is great.

Happy to send my daughter to Mayfield twice a week. She comes back having experienced new things and is always smiling.
Staff are helpful and take care of my daughter in the baby room.
Would recommend the nursery as they care and support any needs.
I also like all the outdoor play.

My daughter has attended Mayfield Nursery since she was 6 months old and she is now two. The staff are very friendly and genuinely care about the children. My daughter is very happy there and I have a great relationship with all the staff.

My daughter always looks forward to going to nursery. The staff are very attentive and responsive to her needs. They have made the transition of going back to work a lot easier for her. She was very shy at first but was encouraged to come out of her shell in her own time. They were incredibly patient
and gave excellent advice during a difficult toilet training process.
