Smiley Stars Nursery (Ibrox & Mansewood) prides itself on providing the highest quality of child care. Staff are qualified to provide a safe and nurturing environment where children can explore indoors and outdoors and are supported to reach their potential.

Each child is an individual that has the right to cuddles, love, developing friendships and experiences that are suited and tailored to their interests and needs. Parents and careers are also involved in the daily planning and are encouraged to take part to help the children.

All the resources at Smiley Stars nursery are age and stage appropriate. Children are encouraged to lead their own learning in a fun and playful environment where they are safe and healthy.

Smiley Stars believes in the benefit of the outdoors. The fresh air and exercise is good for both the children's mental and physical health and well being. Indoor activities are taken outdoors and adapted to suit being outside. The children enjoy trips to the park, walks to the library and outdoor games.

My daughter is still in the settling-in period, which is completely normal, and I appreciate their patience and care during this time.


Communication

My son has been at the nursery for 7 months and the nursery has helped him to be more comfortable and confident with other children and with new faces and his communication and development is getting better day by day as he takes part in the various activities.
I find the regular updates on the app
very helpful as can see what he is doing throughout the day and the staff are very quick to let me know if there is any incident.
The pictures of my son's activity is enjoyable to see and allows me to keep his nursey memories saved.

A fantastic nursery with lots of attentive permanent staff who work hard to provide a nurturing environment. New natural colours and ceiling fairy lights make it a homely place for toddlers to play in. Outdoor space has just had investment, and the old stone building is well maintained and constantly
cleaned. Daily app updates about activities keeps us in touch. Had 2 kids through here and feel very happy leaving them there.

My son has been at smiley starts since he was one year old.
He loves his days there. The staff are absolutely brilliant! I cant praise them enough. Their care and kindness has been absolutely faultless. Management are also very organised and always so accommodating if you ask them for anything.

new outdoor space is brilliant, I love that they are now outside playing in all weathers.

Lovely nursery we are having a great experience with Smiley Stars Nursery-Pollokshaws the team are so friendly and caring and always make us feel welcome. They follow my baby's care plan carefully, which gives me peace of mind.
My little boy is always happy when I pick him up, and I love the daily photos
and updates. He's learning new things every day with lots of fun activities.
The nursery is very clean and well organised. You can really see how much the team care about the children.

Our baby has had a wonderful experience at this nursery. We have seen such positive growth in her development, confidence, and happiness since she started attending. Every morning she goes to nursery with joy and excitement, which means a lot to us as parents. Even when she is sleepy, if we gently ask

Smiley Stars is a great nursery the staff are very friendly and kind they provide great programmes for kids to do absolutely love this nursery.
My son has had a hard time with going to nursery as it is all very new to him but the staff are so lovely and keep me updated and my son is doing much better

Our child has been attending Smiley Stars Ibrox for around 2 years and we cannot fault them. They provide excellent care and a wide variety of fun, creative activities for the children . Our son loves it and always enjoys the food too! Since we wholeheartedly recommended the nursery to members of our

We've sent our daughter to this nursery for the last 9 or so months and have been really impressed. I was hesitant to send her to nursery so young (from 6 months), but the staff really love the children and it shows. My daughter is always happy to go in, starting the day with a big cuddle from the caregivers.
We've never had a difficult drop off. All her needs are taken care of and I just love seeing the updates on the app each day. The room is almost always super relaxed which is not easy to achieve with the babies! They have lovely resources available for the children, and try to get them outside each day.
When I first started my daughter here I anticipated moving her to a closer nursery when she was a bit older, but I won't be doing this now having seen how lovely everyone is and how much they genuinely care about the children.

We are so happy with the care given to our child at Smiley Stars Mansewood. It is such a difficult decision deciding on a nursery and from day one we have felt that the care shown has gone above and beyond.
The activities that they do are varied and so well thought through. There is always a new book
and song of the month, plenty of time spent outside, trips to the library and park. I really do not know how they do it all!
They are very quick to keep us updated on any news, share lots of information and pictures from each day and are very attentive when updating any care plans.
All the staff are welcoming and friendly at drop off and pick-up. The nursery is clean and tidy, and there are always new things to play with or explore in the room.
The staff in our daughters room are exceptional. She has formed such a close bond with all of them. They all show genuine care and interest in her development and milestones.
I'm so happy about our choice and would recommend the nursery to anyone

My youngest daughter currently attends Smiley Stars Mansewood, joining shortly before her 1st birthday. My eldest daughter also attended from age 1-5, until last summer. Both of my children have thrived here, the room and management staff are all very friendly and approachable and I have always been
impressed with the regular communication received via the app. The daily menu options have introduced them both to new foods we might not have tried at home and the stimulating activities, both indoor and outdoor, have meant they are never bored! I feel very lucky to have found such a nurturing nursery and very grateful to all the excellent nursery staff members (past and present) who have supported us during major milestones e.g. potty training, starting nursery/school in our children's lives! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursery to others :)

Wonderful nursery. Staff show excellent care towards children. There have been major improvements made throughout the last three years. Our daughter is absolutely thriving. We travel cross boundaries and it is worth the mileage. Would highly recommend.

We've had a wonderful experience with the Butterflies room, and I can't speak highly enough of the team and the care they provide.
My son is 2.5 years old, full of energy, always on the move, and also very affectionate - he loves cuddles. The staff understand him so well and support his personality
perfectly, balancing his need for exploration with reassurance and warmth.
What we especially appreciate is how thoughtfully the days are planned. The children are exposed to a wide range of experiences, including time in the garden, outdoor play, walks, and visits to local parks, alongside engaging nursery activities. This variety has had a noticeable positive impact on my son's confidence and curiosity.
There is also a well-structured routine that helps children feel secure while still encouraging independence and learning. Most importantly, my son is genuinely happy there, and it shows every day. We are very grateful to the Butterflies room staff for the fantastic work they do with him

I have had two kids at the nursery and will be sending the next one too! It has been the most friendly, dependable and happy place for my kids. The staff are all so nice, everybody knows everyone's name and it really does feel like one big family. I really would recommend you to visit - there is an

Super nursery. Staff are amazing and always very friendly. My child loves going into nursery everyday and looks forward to seeing all the friendly faces. She has made great bonds over the years and I feel so at ease knowing my daughter is having lots of fun everyday.
Such a great place, feel lucky
that my daughter has been part of the smiley stars family

Both of our daughters attend this nursery in different rooms, and we've had such a wonderful experience with both. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, and it's clear how much they genuinely care about the children. Our girls are always so happy there, which means a lot to us as parents.
We
waited quite a while to secure two spaces, but it was completely worth it. We feel very lucky that they're there and truly appreciate the care, attention, and warmth the team gives the children every day.
The app is also extremely helpful for keeping track of things like sleep and meals, and we love receiving the daily updates and photos showing what the children have been up to.

The nursery and its staff have been so supportive and accommodating to our wee boy. They have been open and receptive to meetings to help his development and have done a great job in keeping us up to date with his progress through messages, photos and other general feedback whenever asked and we really
appreciate the staff and all they have done for us and our wee boy who loves the nursery and staff as well!

We absolutely love this nursery. They made my wee one feel so welcome from the start and the team are always friendly, helpful and supportive.


They're great at keeping me updated during the day and I love the pictures they send so I can see what my daughter has been up to.
