Chuckles is a homely, secure and uniquely situated nursery. Set in an acre of land with half of that dedicated purely to outside play for all ages, it has a country feel yet only two miles from the M4.

The Nursery follows the New Curriculum and believes fully that children should learn through exploration and ensures they have the materials, equipment and surroundings to enable that. Outdoor play is high on the daily agenda and the areas are designed to inspire every age group.

Family run since 1999, attention to detail is important. All rooms are monitored via CCTV cameras (14 in all).

The nursery cook prepares healthy well-balanced cooked meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner and tea time snack in line with Welsh Government Healthy Eating Guidelines.

In December 2023, Chuckles was graded in all six areas following a joint CIW and Estyn Inspection. In June 2024 the Nursery won National Day Nursery Association, Nursery of the Year Wales.

    You can book the traditional morning/afternoon/full-day sessions or to give you more flexibility you can start between 7am & 10am ending from 3pm to 6 pm as long as they are a minimum of 8 hours.

This nursery truly cares for the children and families they welcome through their doors. I chose this nursery very easily as I was allowed to view in person which is key, they have great outdoor space and such caring staff.
They ensured my isolated covid baby became a socialised, happy toddler who
enjoys messy play and the garden. They're super flexible and have supported my child through medical issues with ease.

My child enjoys attending this place. The outdoor facilities are fantastic. I can see nursery continuously invests in its development and the new app where you can see your child's nursery activities and communicate messages is just a brilliant addition.
Despite a few issues in the beginning, staff
members have been able to sort it out instantly.
In general, I am quite happy we have chosen this nursery.

Couldn't be any happier with Chuckles Nursery. My boy loves it! Staff are amazing and very helpful. Nursery has great outside and inside facilities. Food menu is very wide and healthy. Feel very safe when I leave my boy with the 'Aunties'. Also love the new app!

I am so pleased my son attends Chuckles Nursery. The team members are very welcoming, friendly, helpful and easy to communicate with. The layout of the place is great and the nursery provides so many opportunities for enhancing a child's development in many areas. The garden area is phenomenal with
beautiful views. My son's social, communication, physical and emotional skills have improved significantly since he started his adventure in Chuckles. He absolutely loves going there and can't wait to see his friends and favourite members of staff. The food must be good, too, as my boy is quite a picky eater at home, but eats nearly everything while at Chuckles. Highly recommended place for a child.

I've sent my 3 children to this nursery over the last 7 years and I honestly couldn't think of a better place to bring my children. The staff are more like family to my children. I would recommend this nursery to any of my friends and family as they are just brilliant.

Chuckles has been fantastic for our son, since his settling in sessions before Christmas to today he has enjoyed every second in the nursery. The staff are extremely helpful and have made us feel so welcomed. I couldn't recommend Chuckles highly enough to anyone. Our son is well looked after and the

Chuckles Nursery is very unique due to the family feel that they offer the children. Each and every member of staff has a warm and friendly personality and get to know your child really well. The children spend lots of time outside and messy play is done daily. They do lots of story telling and music
time, which my little boy loves. He always comes home well fed, well rested and having had lots of fun. He loves going there and happily skips in every morning. It’s so lovely as a parent to be able to switch off while in work as I know he’s being cared for so well. The building and setting is also gorgeous and their outdoor activities are the best I’ve seen in any nursery. As I’ve said, Chuckles is very unique and a special place and I feel lucky to have found them.

Our son has recently started at Chuckes Nursery (February 2021) and so far we’ve been really pleased with the nursery. Communication has always been great but is even better since the introduction of the app - we love hearing about what he’s doing and seeing pictures from every session!
We’ve been
really impressed with the opportunities he has, particularly the access to the outdoor areas which was a real selling point for us when choosing a nursery and we love all the presents (artwork) he brings home!
We’re also pleased with the healthy, home cooked menu provided which is important to us as a family. Thanks Chuckles.

I can’t praise the whole team at Chuckles Nursery enough. From the moment I enquired about a space up to the present day we’ve had nothing but a positive experience. My daughter has settled in wonderfully and I know that’s down to the hard work of the whole team. She loves her ‘aunties’ to bits and
we can’t thank them enough for everything they do for her. Nothing seems like too much bother for them, even her reusable nappies, which they took on board from day one. which is much better than her Dad. I couldn’t recommend Chuckles Nursery enough, they’re all wonderful!

Fabulous nursery. The staff have always been excellent, even throughout the stresses of Covid-19 they still gave one hundred and ten percent and have been amazing in every area.
I love the focus on outdoor play and the fun activities they supply.

The staff are amazing, they do everything they can for the children and my little boy enjoys it so much. They are outside a lot (even in cold weather) which is so beneficial to children and is one of my favourite things about this nursery. My son’s speech and development is so much further on than other
children his age who don’t attend nursery and we always receive compliments on his speech. If I had another child I would definitely put them into Chuckles Nursery even though there’s a nursery closer.

We were so lucky to find this nursery. Both my children (4 and 2) attend and they love going. The facilities are fantastic and they always seem to be trying to improve their environment, which must take so much work. The outside area is absolutely amazing as well. I teach in a nursery class so feel
I can safely say what good learning looks like, and Chuckles definitely offers excellent Early Years practice. The staff are always welcoming and both of mine clearly feel comfortable and happy and we are always hearing the staff's names at home.

My child has significant medical needs and the nursery have been fantastic in accommodating this, they are the friendliest and most nurturing staff and cannot praise them highly enough! My child started off here when she was two having returned after such a long time due to personal reasons they made
me feel at ease and her return ran as smoothly as possible, my anxiety about her returning was very quickly resolved when I saw how happy they were to see her back.

The guys at Chuckles have been amazing while looking after my 2 children. Nothing is ever any trouble and they can't do enough to keep the kids happy throughout the day. My daughter is leaving to join school and was always talking about her Aunties at Chuckles.

My son has been attending Chuckles for two years. He loves it there, sometimes he doesn't want to leave, which is a good sign. They have a fabulous outdoor area, as well as plenty to do indoors. The food is lovely and nutritious, and obviously the children love it. Usually, my son has at least three
plates of dinner! Their rates are very reasonable and the fact they do a term-time contract is the icing on the cake. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Cannot recommend this nursery enough, they are amazing.

My children love Chuckles. They told me last week they don’t want to go to school, as they want to stay in Chuckles forever.
I love that the staff understand and want to know more about my children, their likes/dislikes, quirks and personality. They care! I love the regular updates via daily snippets,
meetings and emails.
The homemade food is amazing and staff have encouraged my children to eat a varied, well-balanced diet of food that before they wouldn’t dream of touching. I have even learnt tips and tricks to use at home with them.
I love that we as parents/grandparents can come along and join in organised activities with the children, it is the best idea to help engage in conversations and understand what our children do when at Chuckles.
I love the natural outside space and will never forget the stories about meeting the animals in their 1st week. I love the artwork and the woodwork they come home with and the songs they sing to me or stories they retell. Thank you!

Chuckles is marvellous. It is a child-centred, fun-filled, warm and safe environment where children can explore, play, learn and relax. My little girl adores nursery and we role play things that she does with her much-loved nursery aunties all the time.
I am constantly amazed at all the new things
my little one has learnt from nursery - including Welsh (we are not a Welsh-speaking family), numbers, writing her name, singing lovely songs and the many craft activities she tells me about. Her (and my!) favourite is when mummy and daddy come into nursery for family craft or cooking days.

The nursery has been great since my son started at the end of December. Although he gets upset when dropping him off, the staff are great at settling him quickly and when there he really enjoys himself. The pictures emailed from staff through the day are a great reassurance for us that he is enjoying
his time there. The food menu is varied and seems to be a hit and the outside space at the nursery is fab. We also love the messy play element and so does our son. We like that play is encouraged throughout the day and there is no emphasis on screens/technology.
