Chuckles is a homely, secure and uniquely situated nursery. Set in an acre of land with half of that dedicated purely to outside play for all ages, it has a country feel yet only two miles from the M4.

The Nursery follows the New Curriculum and believes fully that children should learn through exploration and ensures they have the materials, equipment and surroundings to enable that. Outdoor play is high on the daily agenda and the areas are designed to inspire every age group.

Family run since 1999, attention to detail is important. All rooms are monitored via CCTV cameras (14 in all).

The nursery cook prepares healthy well-balanced cooked meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner and tea time snack in line with Welsh Government Healthy Eating Guidelines.

In December 2023, Chuckles was graded in all six areas following a joint CIW and Estyn Inspection. In June 2024 the Nursery won National Day Nursery Association, Nursery of the Year Wales.

    You can book the traditional morning/afternoon/full-day sessions or to give you more flexibility you can start between 7am & 10am ending from 3pm to 6 pm as long as they are a minimum of 8 hours.

My little boy has attended Chuckles since the age of 5 months, he is still now attending approaching his 4th birthday. He always comes home with extended vocabulary, new interests, and funny stories to tell. Being a COVID baby/only child he can be a right character and the staff at Chuckles has been
spot on with discipline while nurturing him throughout his time there. At home, he often uses Welsh words/phrases he has picked up in nursery as well as skills like scraping off his plate after dinner and counting to 20! Alongside all of that, he has made a lovely group of friends! The staff are always extremely welcoming and informative which makes leaving my child 30 hours a week much easier!

Chuckles is a home-from-home for my son who attends 4 full days a week. He's been going since 9 months old and has thrived into a nearly 4-year-old ready for school, thanks to the team at Chuckles. He loves attending and comes home with stories that go on until bedtime every day.
He enjoys everything
from the activities, outside play, all the aunties and mealtimes he loves too. Couldn't ask for a better place for him to attend than Chuckles!

Best nursery! Wouldn’t dream of sending my child anywhere else. The staff are so kind and caring towards the children and treat each child like their own. Have no concerns when taking my daughter in each day.

An absolutely wonderful nursery facility. The staff really bond with the children and get to know them just as well as family do throughout each of the groups. My child has spent almost four years here and will be moving on to primary school later this year. I will be extremely sad to see her leave
Chuckles, as they have become such an important and loved fixture in our lives, but have no doubt that they have set her up to succeed through this transition.
I couldn’t have chosen anywhere better to help me return to work smoothly and help take care of my daughter. Thank you, team Chuckles.

I really recommend Chuckles Nursery to anyone who asks! My daughter started when she was 1 year old right up until she left for school at 4 years old and her all over development came on a long way and I thank all the girls at Chuckles for their support towards this! At first, she was a very timid little
girl who cried to leave my side but left running herself in and I struggled to get her to leave I think that speaks volumes in itself! The staff in each group are so attentive to each child’s needs and take time to sit with the children allowing them to learn how they feel comfortable. I also like the approach that they have different stations in each class to let the children free play so it’s not overly structured for such young children which is very beneficial. They also have such a lovely outdoor space. My daughter loved all her nursery aunties and made so many friends. Looking forward to my son joining them in the new year. Thank you so much Chuckles great job!

My son attended Chuckles at Babies and Younger Toddlers and then returned again and Preschool and I would recommend this nursery to everyone! He had such an amazing time and journey, while in babies he had 3 of his limbs in full casts and they still let him join in all the fun and games and made adjustments
to help. He would not eat anything when he first started, although by the time he left, he was eating and trying everything. The change is unbelievable! All the aunties are really supportive and I always felt safe leaving my child with them. The nursery itself is always changing and has different topics every few months to always engage the children. My son would not be the boy he is today without his Aunties guiding him on his journey.

Fantastic nursery, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone. My child wasn’t very social and wasn’t good with other children/adults, but came on leaps and bounds during his time here! He was delayed in his speech, but bringing him here has helped massively and the support the ‘aunties’ gave is fabulous.

My little girl attended pre-school at Chuckles. Leaving for school in August 2023.
She thrived there with staff and other children, becoming a confident, sassy little girl. I never had any problems with her going and I always felt confident I was leaving her in a safe and happy environment. The staff
are fabulous and they build amazing relationships with the children they take care of. Forever grateful my little girl's journey began at Chuckles Nursery. Highly recommend.

Chuckles is our first and only nursery experience. Everything about Chuckles is amazing. The staff are brilliant – they are so lovely, friendly and hardworking and each worker that our daughter has interacted with she loves. Along with the managing staff, none of them could do anymore for me and our
little family. They are great at providing us updates either on the app or by messages. It just makes you feel better and more at ease knowing who you are leaving your child with and knowing that you can trust them. The app is fab too! You get regular updates throughout the day including photos of your child playing. This insight is lovely to know as you can see what they are doing which gives you more peace of mind. The activities that the children partake in and their different food options are endless. The menu choices are on a rota, so every week is different. The grounds are great too - particularly their outdoor learning space. I would definitely recommend Chuckles as your child's nursery!

Very good nursery and the staff are so friendly. They work well as a team and do fab with the kids. I have had all three children in the setting. We are always saying they should make the nursery for older children. The kids love it there and staff always keep parents up to date with day to day activities.

Chuckles is an amazing nursery. They're all so caring and supportive and really make me feel like they understand what it's like when you're putting your child in someone else's hands for the day. The communication on the Famly app is second to none, especially the daily updates and pictures. I particularly
appreciate the reassuring messages when it's been a difficult drop off. I have no doubt my child is in the best hands, having great experiences, enjoying the incredible outside space and facilities they have, and delicious meals every day. He is absolutely thriving and I put that down, in no small part, to the care and attention he receives at Chuckles. I could not have hoped to find a better nursery for my child and think every single person there does a great job.

My daughter really enjoyed the care at Chuckles. Unfortunately, I can't get another place as she took a long break. I loved the daycare and highly recommend it to all parents. Everyone at daycare is very helpful.

All the staff working in the nursery are very approachable. They call them ‘aunties’. Management are great. Invoices received in plenty of time. Our baby started at 4months settling in and they still put me at ease every day with updates on how he’s doing. He’s come on leaps and bounds. He is lactose
intolerant and the nursery go above and beyond to make him equal and eat ‘normal’ foods. If we request something they will do it. Highly recommend and they’ve been fantastic with me and my partner working shift patterns. He bumped his head by accident on the decking and within five minutes myself, my partner his dad and my mum the emergency contact was informed and we had to sign off an accident report form. It was a tiny little bit of red ,a complete accident and they went above and beyond. They do not hesitate to contact with any information regarding our son.

My son has been attending Chuckles for almost two months now. I was so nervous and had been to view about ten nurseries before Chuckles.
