Singleton Day Nursery

Singleton nursery is a great place, and they have worked so hard to keep our little ones safe in these times. Big credit to all the staff for their hard work; thank you.

A little feedback is to have more information/pictures and names of the staff in each room. It’s fine if the staff move around from time to time, but it’s nice to be able to talk to our little ones using the names of the adults that have been looking after them. The last piece of feedback is it’s great to see on the app what they have been up to for the day, it must be hard work for the staff to keep updating this, but it means a lot to the parents, and again, it’s lovely to be about to talk to our little one about their day.

My daughter loves going to nursery! I was initially nervous about how she'd settle in, but I'm so happy that she enjoys it. Every week she happily goes in and barely gives me a backward glance at the door. It's clear to see what she's learning when she comes home singing songs I've never sung with her and naming things that she hasn't learnt with us. I'm so glad she's able to interact with other children and adults this year and it seems to be helping her learn and grow and I'm so happy that she's happy here!

My son loves attending Singleton Day Nursery. I feel that the staff are very attentive, supportive and since attending, my little boy's speech has progressed significantly. I would certainly recommend the nursery to any first time parent who may be anxious like I was in leaving my child for the first time.

My Granddaughter is always happy and excited to go into nursery. We get great communication and photos from the app that really makes us feel connected to her during the day. The team have done a great job of keeping the children safe and the parents informed and reassured throughout the pandemic.

During this difficult time, I must congratulate the staff on the way they have continued to give our grandson the care and attention we hoped he would have. Gone is the baby we cared for before lockdown as he has changed into a happy and confident little boy. We love being included with the daily news and photographs of his days in the nursery, and during the FaceTime chats, he always lets us know what a good time he is having, mentions the different names of staff and the activities he has been doing. So, thank you all for your hard work.

My son is always happy going into nursery and even happier at pick up! He is very much encouraged by staff and making progress in English and Welsh! The nursery has increased flexibility through the pandemic, and that has been so important for us. The use of the new app has really improved communication, and I love getting little updates of what the children are up to and my little boy's progress through this. Thank you all for your dedication and hard work through this difficult time!

My son has been attending Singleton Day Nursery for nearly three years, and we absolutely love it! He is so happy there and cannot wait to go in every morning. The staff go above and beyond to help and have been incredibly flexible during the pandemic with all the changes due to schools closing etc. I can't recommend them enough. I feel that all the staff I have come across engage well with the children and seem to enjoy being with them - I can see evidence of a genuine interest in the children's wellbeing and development. The communication with parents is also honest, specific and helpful.

My daughter started when she was a year old and has progressed through to preschool. She has really enjoyed every stage and looks forward to going every week. The staff are very friendly and helpful. As a parent, I really enjoy receiving updates, photos and reports via the app.

My grandson has been at the nursery since he was 5-months-old, and he has always loved it. He has thrived and absolutely loves it; he cannot wait to go and have a fantastic time. At every stage, the staff, activities and care are excellent.

My son has come on leaps and bounds since attending; they do a brilliant job at creche, and I would recommend them to anyone. The creche has been an absolute lifesaver during the covid pandemic, as he hadn't seen any children for months at one of the most crucial points of his development. I'm so happy that we chose Singleton Day Nursery.

Really happy with our nursery. Have used it for 5-years for both our children; and they have been so flexible and take such good care of them. We have had an excellent experience with the nursery over the past three years, and our son is very happy there. There are always a lot of fun activities going on, and the new app allows us to keep up to date with what the children do every day, including personalised posts about our son's progress. The nursery rooms provide a nice environment, and the kids get a lot of outdoor play with lovely views over the park.

One thing we really like about the nursery is the flexibility they offer, as we don't have to book the same days each week. This is essential for parents with non-standard work shifts and doesn't seem to be offered by many other nurseries.

Staff not always aware of the child's day. More outdoor activities would be welcomed.

We have been very happy with the nursery and would thoroughly recommend it. The staff are very attentive, caring, and the environment is nurturing. Our youngest is obviously very happy there. The nursery has a wonderful, large outdoor area with lovely views which we feel is a real plus! The food is also great. Our two older children also went to the nursery, and our experience has always been a very positive one. It is lovely seeing our little one develop into a confident, happy and social little human being!

Our son loves his nursery days. The staff are great with the children, and very approachable if we have any questions. Our son is learning lots every day. Parents are kept up to date via an app, which is great. The chef is fantastic too, our son loves the food that he has there. I would, and have, highly recommended this nursery to others.

My little boy absolutely loves going to Singleton for playscheme during the school holidays. The team are well trained and committed to the wellbeing of the children and their individual development needs.

My son loves going to nursery - he has developed a great relationship with his key worker and loves being with the other babies. We get to know what he’s been up to through pictures and notifications on the app, and he is kept busy and happy with a range of fun activities. He is also given lots of cuddles, and this makes him feel really comfortable and happy at nursery. He also brings crafts etc home, which I love.
