My daughter has been attending Pitter Patter for 15 months and I can honestly say it is the best decision I have made. The staff and management are brilliant and the care shown towards my daughter is the best I could ask for. She has come on leaps and bounds and is thriving which is mainly down to the
staff at Pitter Patter.
They always respond to questions or concerns if raised, promptly. The staff know parents by first names and are always friendly. The extra activities throughout the year put on by the nursery are fab, for example summer party, Xmas party which involves all the children. The facilities at the nursery are great and the activities on a daily basis are fun and varied. You are kept up to date on an app where you can track your child’s day and also see photos of them from throughout the day.
I can’t praise them enough and for the support, care and guidance they have given to my daughter.

My 4-year-old daughter and my 2-year-old son attend Pitter Patter, with my daughter being picked up from school nursery. I was nervous at first, but then I did my first visit with the deputy manager. She put our mind at ease with her bubbly personality and I instantly felt comfortable. I get regular
updates for both children, and I can message whenever I need to during the day to check up on them and the staff are happy enough to respond. Every interaction I have had, with a number of different workers from different rooms have all been positive and reassuring. I would honestly recommend Pitter Patter to anyone. My son’s speech has really come along and they both are so happy there. I feel that my children are safe and cared for, which is all I ask for. My daughter will be going to full-time school in September and I know she’ll miss the staff there when she doesn’t have to go anymore.
Reply from Debra Jones, Owner at Pitter Patter Day Nursery LtdThank you for taking to time to give such a lovely review - the team have a passion for what they do and it's always so nice to hear how parents feel about the care we give. Thank you

I would highly recommend Pitter Patter Nursery to any parent. As a first time parent I was initially nervous to leave my son and return back to work. All that changed since finding Pitter Patter Nursery which had been recommended by all of my neighbours. My son has been attending for 12 months and has
excelled in development with his speech and social skills. The staff are all absolutely fantastic and my son throughly enjoys attending on his allocated days and lights up when he sees all the staff especially one member of staff in particular. The staff provide an excellent curriculum that is reported on each day through the app. The nursery also provide a wide range of healthy food options that change seasonally. My only regret is that I didn’t start him at Pitter Patter sooner.
Reply from Debra Jones, Owner at Pitter Patter Day Nursery LtdThank you so much for taking the time to give such a wonderful review - we are of course delighted to hear that you feel we have supported your little one's development.
All of our staff will be absolutely thrilled to hear your feedback - they are passionate about what they do and receiving feedback like this is so incredibly heart-warming, thank you.

My child has been going to Pitter Patter Day Nursery for a long time and has made lots of friends in doing so. The staff are very friendly and quick to reply to messages.
My only worry (felt by a lot of parents even at my child's school) is the fee for when children are in morning school, the fee is
for a full day even though 3.5 hours of that day are in school, might be worth looking at flexibility as not all children will need to be in nursery from 11:30-5:45, some might only need to be in for 3.5-4.5 hours which is same as if in for am slot or pm slot only.
Reply from Debra Jones, Owner at Pitter Patter Day Nursery LtdThank you for your lovely comments about our staff.
We haven't had any queries regarding the worry from yourself or others to enable us to explain. We are always open to feedback & questions & welcome parents open communication.
Our fees are based around our occupancy allowance & business outgoings to ensure we are sustainable & quality isn't compromised either in our service or retaining our fantastic staff.
If we were to offer a reduced rate for an 11.15am start we would loose the income of the AM fee & as we cannot exceed the registered number of children on our premises at any one time the only way we could re-coop this is to either fill the short-fall of spaces with an 8am-11am session (which is not desirable or useful for parents) or increase the cost of the 11.15am start session to cover the loss of income.
Our parents usually support their fee's with the 30hrs Childcare Offer funding & Tax Free Childcare government scheme to significantly reduce their monthly fees.

Honestly, my son going here was the best decision, he absolutely loves going there. The staff are amazing and keep you informed on everything they do. They do fab activities which are fun and educational, every photo I see my son is all smiles, I just love them there and will be quite sad when my son
goes to full time but thankfully they do after school club so he will still get to see everyone, excellent care provided I couldn’t be happier, my son even eats better food since attending.

I can't recommend Pitter Patter enough. From helping our little boy settling in, to referring him onward for help with his additional learning needs, we have been supported every step of the way. We are so grateful to the wonderful staff who update the app regularly and send pictures almost every day
which is so great as a working parent.

My daughter has been going to Pitter Patter now for since January and she has come on leaps and bounds! She is coming home everyday telling us what she has learned and every day the nursery is going new and cool projects and crafts with her. She also eats better there than she does at school and she
loves the ladies working there. Best decision we made putting her in there.
Reply from Debra Jones, Owner at Pitter Patter Day Nursery LtdThat is wonderful to hear, thank you.
It's so special to us to hear that not only are the parents happy with our care but to also see and hear it from the children themselves is incredibly heart-warming.

I would absolutely recommend Pitter Patter Day Nursery!
Our daughter joined in January 2023 and after about a week she was settled and loved the staff. She had 3 main ladies caring for her and we could see how much she loved them, every morning she would happily go to them with lots of smiles and
giggles. They looked after her as if she was their own!
We got regular updates through the app and we felt comfortable asking any questions we wanted.
The whole experience was just great, we can’t fault it and the only reason we’ve moved her to a different nursery is the distance from our home. Otherwise, she would still be there.
Reply from Debra Jones, Owner at Pitter Patter Day Nursery LtdThank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review of your experience at Pitter Patter. We know our staff are incredibly special but it's always extra special to hear that valued customers see that too. Your little one will be very much missed by the ladies, thank you for choosing us to be a part of her precious early years. We know she'll go on to warm many more hearts with her beautiful smile and giggles.

My little boy goes to Pitter Patter Day Nursery Ltd and has been going since he was 8 months, they have really lovely, caring staff who really work hard and try to accommodate every child's needs. The owner, manager and staff have always been very understanding and accommodating with my son's needs.
I always get sent lovely photos of my son in nursery doing different activities every day. Pitter Patter is very good with keeping the parents updated as they work through an app that tells you exactly what your child does/eats/drinks/sleeps through the day. It's very reassuring that you can give them a message for updates and they get back to you very quick! There are staff there that really go above and beyond and they deserve a medal for all their hard work and patience. Well done girls.

Some staff at Pitter Patter are absolutely outstanding, particularly two of them. My son constantly spoke about them and really enjoyed being with them. We have pulled my son out of Pitter Patter now after so many issues. Issues that are concerning, not sure if it is understaffed or overpopulated but
when paying for my son's care I don't expect such a high level of negligence. From being left in his own faeces all day up his back, to coming home covered in scratches and marks. Very disappointing and concerning. There was one member of staff who was always very negative towards my son but not to others and not very nice. Other parents have mentioned the same to me in the queue and also at a birthday party. Management seem lovely but there's only so far an apology gets you.
Reply from Debra Jones, Owner at Pitter Patter Day Nursery LtdWe are so incredibly sorry that you feel this way which has resulted in you deciding to withdraw your son from our care, we do take all concerns brought to our attention very seriously and swiftly respond with full, thorough, and non-biased investigations/action that our inspectorates have praised us for in the past. We are always extremely saddened if things go wrong, but should we find ourselves in such a situation we believe swift appropriate action and full transparency in such situations is always the best approach, giving parents full honest feedback within employment law confidentiality boundaries and taking appropriate action enables us to ensure we can address things correctly, doing everything we possibly can to prevent such things happening again.
We are so proud that our large 73-place nursery is very busy, running at 90%- 95% occupancy across the week. We don’t ever ‘over-book’ the nursery and as proven in our inspections our staffing ratios are always correctly adhered to. Even though we are a converted house with many rooms to allow for smaller groups of children throughout each day, we respectfully understand that it may not be some parents’ personal preference for their child to attend a larger nursery.
Our team of 29 are suitably qualified and experienced, have ongoing training, supervisions and mentoring and are never left lone working. As a team we adopt the ethos of supporting each other and saying things as we see them (regardless of your job title) to ensure only the best practice is adhered to for the children in our care.
Each of the concerns raised were fully investigated with appropriate action and relayed to the parents who were grateful for our professional intervention, however – we understand that when it comes to your child, sharing your experience is incredibly important as children are the most precious gift and always the main priority. We are deeply saddened that you have been left to feel disappointed and would like to express that this is certainly not how we want valued customers to be left feeling. Our aim is to provide nothing but the best quality care and it is something we always take very seriously.
We are unaware of any other parents having concerns especially as we always encourage individuals to raise any concerns, queries or worries promptly with us so that we can deal with things quickly. Communication is possible via phone call, email, face-to-face or our Nursery App… hopefully making the avenues for getting in touch with us easily accessible and suitable for all parents/carers during or outside our Nursery opening hours.
We wish you and your son all the very best.

We love Pitter Patter. My children both struggled with being left in the beginning but the staff were wonderfully supportive and caring. Now they both love it and it's evident from the way they talk about what they've done and the photos that I'm sent daily that they are having a great time. They're
easy to communicate with and I love that the app is updated with what they've eaten and drunk. I couldn't recommend them more.

My son loves coming to nursery, he started off unsure and not wanting to leave me or his father. But all staff there made him feel safe and had him enjoying himself and getting involved in everything they do. Now we drop him off with no tears! We love the updates on the app, seeing what he gets up to
and what he's been eating.
Overall we love Pitter Patter, only negative would be nappy changes could be a little more often but apart from that we all love it and are so happy to have found such a lovely environment for our boy to grow and learn.

Pitter Patter Day Nursery has exceeded our expectations. Our daughter loves attending and always comes out happy at the end of the day. A lovely aspect is the app used to keep us updated throughout the day and is a great communication tool. Whenever we have had any queries, the responses received have

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.904) out of 10 for Pitter Patter Day Nursery Ltd is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 18 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 18 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.954 for Pitter Patter Day Nursery Ltd is calculated as follows: ( (206 Excellents x 5) + (10 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 216 Ratings = 4.954
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.95 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Pitter Patter Day Nursery Ltd is based on 18 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.95
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 73 number of registered child places is 14.6, which has been reached with 18 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
