Baby Acorns in Roath near Cardiff city centre, is a bright, spacious nursery with beautiful gardens.

It has sensory equipment, toys and activities to nurture babies and toddlers and encourage them to explore new colours, shapes and activities.

When a baby reaches the age of two and a half, a partner nursery in Oakfield Street will welcome them as they move up, along with their group and key carer.

The children receive nutritious fresh food to feed healthy minds and healthy bodies. The children benefit from a tasty breakfast, a two course lunch, high tea and a 5.30 pm snack. Cooking activities are popular at the nursery, with the children eager to take part in food tasting sessions.

A Forest school, sensory play, music and movement and many other activities all contribute to each child's development.

After researching numerous nurseries, I and my husband visited 3 of the Acorns nurseries. Baby Acorns was our third visit. As soon as we entered the premises, we were met with such a warm welcome. It was light, airy, exceptionally clean and no smells. We immediately felt this was the right place of
our little one, who has Down Syncome. He was very much at home and even held his arms out to a member of staff. That clinched it for us, we knew this was the right place. Since attending Baby Acorns he has thrived and as a result, we have increased his attendance by an extra morning. We are already recommending this nursery to other people we know.

I am really pleased with all the attention and care you give to my daughter. She is always very happy and you can tell she enjoys her activities at the nursery. I love the bright open space in the dinner area/free flow area and the large garden this nursery offers.

I have been extremely happy with Baby Acorns nursery. Both my son and daughter have attended the nursery and loved their time here. Since my daughter has been attending Acorns she has come along so much. She is a confident girl. She loves reading, activities, singing and dancing. I believe that Acorns helped her develop in all of the things listed. The staff are amazing so welcoming, always smiling and always taking time and care

Acorns Nursery looks after both my boys and does a fantastic job. We have had our eldest in acorns from 1 till primary school. They have done a fantastic job teaching mu boys excellent socialisation skills and the info we receive each day is top notch. We would not hesitate to recommend Acorns.

Our son has been in the nursery since he was 8 1/2 months old and we have been really pleased and happy with the care provided. He settled very quickly and his care has been phenomenal. We chose Baby Acorns based on recommendations from friends/colleagues. The staff are all so approachable and well
trained. I would not have felt as secure at other sites as especially as its set up for babies and sensory play it's been so reassuring.

Claire Brown

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2011

Claire has recently moved from her position at Acorns House and after maternity leave has joined the team at Baby Acorns as Manager. She likes to welcome the children and parents in the mornings and especially enjoys messy play and singing circle.


Claire enjoys walking her dog Winston outside work.
