Teesdale Childrens Day Nursery are very proud to have an 'Outstanding' Ofsted report from January 2017.

The staff team are focused on providing quality childcare and education for the children who attend their setting. Their aim is to give every child the best possible start in life.

The nursery staff use tapestry, an online learning journey to keep parents informed about their child's progress in nursery and parents have access as well so they can see how their children are developing.

The nursery is part of Nunthorpe Nurseries Group and they have an excellent reputation in the North East

My daughter attends two days a week and she loves it. She has come along with her speaking and walking since being there. The staff are friendly and have a good rapport with the children. Very age appropriate games and activities to suit my daughter.

I would highly recommend this nursery, my son loves it here, he has made so many friends.
He has learnt so much in the 4 years he has been here and the trips out are great.
The staff are so friendly and it's just like one big happy family and professional at the same time.
I know my son is safe
here and well taken care of, he has a balanced diet and he loves going.
What more could I ask for.
Happy children makes happy parents.

Very clean, healthy and fresh meals for the little ones. Lovely staff. Playing facilities outside. Teesdale Day Nursery is the place to be for little ones. Parents do not need to worry when they leave their children because the staff are experienced and excellent. Children are in good hands at the Teesdale
Nursery.

I would highly recommend this school to anyone as my son has improved very much since he's been there. Overall, the school is very good, the staff are very helpful and go out of their way to help you with any issues you have with your child or anything else that is bothering you. My son loves the other
kids in his class and has made some good friends.

All of the staff have been fantastic at making my little boy settle in and feel welcome. He really loves attending nursery. I can also see that his development is helped by being at nursery and by the stimulation provided through the fun activities the staff organise. I also really love receiving little
updates through tapestry, it helps put my mind at ease, knowing what my little one is up to and that he is having fun. Great nursery in every way!

Fantastic nursery, my daughter loves it, staff are amazing, I have total pPearce of mind whilst at work that my daughter is in very safe and friendly arms, she has only been there around 6 months and her development has come along fabulously.

My daughter and son have both been coming to Teesdale Nursery since they were 7 months old. The staff have helped my children to settle in but also make myself and their mother feel at ease about leaving them. The staff care about the children's personal needs and also their development. They help them
every step of their journey. My children are now 2 and 3 years old.

What can I say, my daughter loves to go to nursery and if she could speak would most likely praise it, the staff are pleasant and informative and she always seems to enjoy her time. Well informed on day to day and varied meals and snacks.

Always a pleasure to bring my daughter into this nursery. Everyone is helpful and cheery.


Have no complaints as they always take great care of my child, she seems to be learning a lot while she is there. They are very informative on what she has been doing on the day. Staff always have time for you.

Would have no qualms in recommending them to everybody.

My little boy has been going to this nursery for nearly two years and I can honestly say he loves it. He asks me every morning if he can go. He has developed so much since he started. All the staff are friendly and he loves each of them. He has a good relationship with them and they have time for each
and every child. They are happy to let you visit for parents evening when ever you want to catch up on what your child has been doing. The staff even take time to chat to you on a personal basis and are very accommodating to your needs.

Michelle Gormon

Job Title: Manager Joined: 2000

Hello, I'm Michelle.
I have a level 4 in Early years childhood studies and have worked in childcare for 22 years here at Teesdale Children's Day Nursery. I started out as an Early year's educator, working my way up to deputy manager and I'm now proud to be manager. I take pride in having very good organisational skills and use them when managing the nursery, staff, and children. I love to meet new families, welcoming them into our setting and ensuring that they feel comfortable. We work as a team to ensure all rooms provide fun, stimulating, and safe environments. I believe having a strong team helps children achieve their individual learning goals by working together and working alongside parents and families collectively. I look forward to welcoming you to our nursery.
