Little Ladybirds Day Nursery is an Ofsted rated 'good' nursery (May 2023) situated in a purpose-built venue in Stockton, Teesside. Within the nursery, care is provided for children aged six weeks through to five-years-old.

The nursery is divided into four main rooms, all of which are designed to meet the requirements of the early years foundation stage. Within a very large pre-school room children have access to iPads, touch-screen computers and interactive whiteboards. Outside there is a large play area which utilises natural materials and includes a water wall and mud kitchen.

The staff team at Little Ladybirds includes an early years teacher and all staff are trained in paediatric first aid.

There are a number of extra-curricular activities provided at no extra charge at Little Ladybirds, including football, French and signing tots.

The nursery provides flexibility on days and two, three and four-year-old grant funding is available.

Can’t recommend Little Ladybirds enough! My nearly two-year-old daughter has been going here since she was six months old and absolutely loves it. She’s always very happy to see the staff and they’ve always been informative when updating us about her day. I love being able to check the app to see what
she’s been up to. All the staff I’ve dealt with so far have been very friendly and helpful. I’ve never had to worry about leaving her there all day whilst I go to work as I know she has so much fun.

I’ve had two children attend Little Ladybirds and during their time at the nursery, I have found the staff to be supportive, helpful and informative. I’ve also had lots of support from the office managers who have been instrumental in helping me reduce nursery costs by supporting me with applying for
government funding, as well as being extremely understanding at difficult points over the last two years - always going over and beyond to ensure that both the children and parents are happy and fairly treated.


Both my children have thrived during their time at Little Ladybirds, they are confident, happy children who play well with others and are ahead of a lot of their peers in terms of language development, literacy and numeracy understanding. A huge part of this is down to the staff at Little Ladybirds and I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone.

We have two children at little ladybirds, one who has been attending for two years and one who has just started. Both settled in really quickly thanks to the lovely friendly team and fun engaging environment. My eldest has progressed through the rooms and has loved all of them. There is a fab garden
and extras such as football coaching but it’s definitely the great team that really makes little ladybirds the warm and friendly place it is.

Amazing nursery staff and facilities are perfect my son loves it he wants to be back every day and won’t normally leave my side he enjoys it that much always doing different activities and making it fun for the kids always outside time too and creative play

My son has been at Little Ladybirds since he was one and has made some great friends and enjoys going. He loves all the playtime in the garden and football with the coach. Can’t fault little ladybirds nursery. Staff are really kind and helpful. My daughter is always keen to go to nursery and never had a day when she would rather stay home. The meals are varied which I like as she will eat things that I sometimes wouldn’t make at home.

My daughter is in preschool and attends two full days a week. She skips in happily and doesn’t look back. The staff are caring towards her and I know she is in safe hands. Pictures are regularly added to the app, along with information about food and what they have been up to. They spend a lot of their
time outside exploring and my daughter especially enjoys football. They follow themes throughout the year and my daughter enjoyed learning relaxation and about her mental health. A great nursery and I am glad she goes there and will be a bit sad when she goes up to “big school”.

My first child attended this nursery and he absolutely loved it! He would tell me about his day and the friends he had played with. All the staff at the nursery are so friendly and welcoming! Especially within the baby room, they really make you feel at ease and that your baby is in safe, caring hands.


With my second I was going to attend another nursery (sounds strange I know) to quickly learn that it was not running like Little Ladybirds and the staff were certainly not as friendly and caring towards the children. I think this was a good experience for me as I appreciated Little Ladybirds so much more and had even more confidence in leaving my little boy there. He goes twice a week with open arms and when I pick him up he’s always smiling!


I would recommend this nursery to anyone!

A brilliant nursery that is enriching my daughter's first years, her first few months in a nursery setting have gone amazingly and that's all down to this amazing team!
Special thanks to the Tweenies room and the Snr Practioner has always made me feel so at ease and know my daughter is getting the
best care, even through all those initial nasty bugs they pick up they have helped me manage that and keep her happy!

Little ladybirds staff are always friendly and welcoming. My daughter has a cows milk protein allergy and they have been so accommodating with her dietary requirements. On top of all, the communication from the baby room alongside the app has given me confidence about where my child is with naps etc.

I moved my son to this nursery after having a bad experience at a different nursery where he did not settle. I had viewed countless nurseries in the area and this one came out on top every time.


It takes me 40 minutes to travel to little ladybirds from where we live, and I am still 100% thrilled

with my decision to choose little ladybirds over any others despite it being so far away from home.


My son settled in straight away and turned into a different little boy, so much more confident, smiley and his development came on leaps and bounds.


The staff are all so friendly and approachable, they take the time to talk to you and have always given me advice when I have asked for it.


He has allergies to dairy, egg, and soy and they had no concerns about this. His meals are gorgeous, varied and they give alternatives so he doesn't miss out.


The facilities are outstanding but it's the staff that makes it for me! He gets excited when we arrive and I know he is having a great time.

Our daughter recently completed her time in baby room at Little Ladybirds. She spent almost nine months and was always really settled going to and leaving nursery. The activities were great and the staff were so lovely with her that it gave us as parent great peace of mind.


She’s recently moved up

to Tweenies and is absolutely loving all of the activities and experiences that come with the new room.


Her confidence and language skills are great for her age and I truly believe Little Ladybirds is doing great things for her development.


When you ask her “Do you want to go to nursery?” She always replies with an enthusiastic nod of the head and a great big “Yes!”

My seventeen month old daughter attends Little Ladybirds full-time and from three months old when she first started she has had first class care every day. She beams when we pull up to the door knowing where she is going. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this nursery

I cannot recommend Little Ladybirds enough! From the moment my little girl started, every member of staff has been caring of both her and myself. I was very apprehensive to leave her as she was a lockdown baby and unsure of new people, now she loves going.
All members of staff take a great deal of
pride in their work, this is clearly demonstrated by the quality of care and education that my little girl receives.
I love to app used to update all day, it’s nice to see how much she’s eaten or slept through the day and what she has been up to.
Such a fantastic place for any child to go, they really do thrive there and love every minute of it.

After my daughter was living most of her life in Lockdown, I was extremely apprehensive about leaving her at a nursery all together but Little Ladybirds changed that. After 3 weeks of attending, my daughter smiles as she approaches the building and puts her arms out to the staff. She is such a happy
little girl when I pick her up and is well cared for. The staff are expectational and incredibly professional with a wide range of activities you would never think of! I am confident to say this is a superb nursery and will highly recommend to anyone.

My little boy has been at this nursery for about six months and he couldn’t be happier! He looks forward to nursery every time he goes and always comes home with a smile on his face couldn’t recommend this nursery enough! I'm now pregnant with my second child and there is no doubt in my mind this child
will be going to this nursery to! Staff are all so helpful and lovely and my son has grown and learnt so much from being there and with the other children! Highly recommend! They even have a coach come in on Monday to teach them football great exercise for the children and they learn so many motor skills! Food is also very healthy and safe for all the children which is a big plus!

Great nursery. We considered a few in the area beforehand, but it was obvious from the beginning that Little Ladybirds was the best. Our daughter took a while to settle in as she is quite shy, however staff were fantastic and ensured that our minds were put at rest and gave us thorough daily updates.
Our daughter walks straight in now with no problems and she loves it. I have been very impressed with how they have handled any Covid-19 related issues, including their prompt actions and communications with parents. I have never heard a bad word about Little Ladybirds Nursery and I would definitely recommend.
