Little Ladybirds Day Nursery is an Ofsted rated 'good' nursery (May 2023) situated in a purpose-built venue in Stockton, Teesside. Within the nursery, care is provided for children aged six weeks through to five-years-old.

The nursery is divided into four main rooms, all of which are designed to meet the requirements of the early years foundation stage. Within a very large pre-school room children have access to iPads, touch-screen computers and interactive whiteboards. Outside there is a large play area which utilises natural materials and includes a water wall and mud kitchen.

The staff team at Little Ladybirds includes an early years teacher and all staff are trained in paediatric first aid.

There are a number of extra-curricular activities provided at no extra charge at Little Ladybirds, including football, French and signing tots.

The nursery provides flexibility on days and two, three and four-year-old grant funding is available.

A fantastic nursery with fantastic staff. Our daughter left in December 2024 to start with school nursery. After 2 years of attendance she has loved the nursery and made lots of friends. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. highly recommended to all our friends and family. Thank you for everything.

Our son has been attending Little Ladybirds Nursery for nearly a year now and has really flourished under their care. Initially nervous about being left without mam and dad, he now doesn't look back when we drop him off. He is currently in the Small Discovers room and the team in there are fantastic
with him. His confidence and personality have really developed, and his eating has also massively improved. I cannot recommend the nursery highly enough - it has been lovely for us as parents to watch our son grow and I know he's getting the very best start in his journey towards pre-school.

We have had the most amazing experience at Little Ladybirds. Our daughter has been at the nursery for over 2 years now and has spent time in every room, from babies through to preschool. She loves going, has made so many friends, and has such a great relationship with all the amazing staff. The staff
have always been more than happy to accommodate our/our daughter's needs and offered support and gone above and beyond to ensure our daughter's needs come first. The range of activities provided for the children is amazing, something different every day and we love how they are encouraged to spend time outside whenever possible. Our daughter is due to leave in a few weeks and I will be so sad when she does. We will all miss the amazing team that has looked after her so well these past few years. Would highly, recommend Little Ladybirds.

Our daughter has been in Little Ladybirds for a little over 7 months so far and she has thrived. The staff is always welcoming and professional and at hand to help with any questions and relay information and daily updates constantly. This is the perfect place for our daughter to be before she starts
her full-time school journey. She's learning her key life skills and to be around other children and be comfortable being away from us when we work.
Could not recommend Little Ladybirds enough.

My daughter has been attending Little Ladybirds since December. We are delighted with our experience so far! All of the staff are friendly, warm and welcoming. They have taken a genuine interest in our daughter’s development, sharing daily photos of her time there and engaging with news we share from
home. There is always a wide range of learning opportunities - our daughter comes home with new skills every week!

Both of our children have attended Little Ladybirds with our youngest just starting in the baby room this month. As soon as we walked into the nursery we got a home-from-home feeling and we knew this was the place we wanted our children to attend. The staff within the room are nothing short of amazing
and we cannot praise them enough, nothing is ever too much effort and they always treat our children like their own. Our eldest child went all the way through the nursery and was extremely happy in every room, the transitions were always smooth and we were kept in the loop with each visit and all the next steps that were going to be taken. The activities that take part in the rooms are always fun and engaging and it was always a fun conversation on the journey home from nursery finding out what had been happening! The app is always up to date and it’s easy for me to see what my child has been doing and what they have eaten/drank that day, it’s always so lovely to see some pictures too!

Our son has been at Little Ladybirds for nearly three years now and I could not recommend it enough. From his first day in Babies to the present time in Pre-School, all the staff have been amazing with our son and he is so happy here. He loves all of the staff and runs in every morning with a huge smile
on his face, which means so much to us. The staff have been great in assisting with his development, especially with his speech and have worked with us through many development stages such as potty training and carried on in nursery what we were doing at home - nothing has ever been too much trouble. We love the app so we can see what he has been up to during the day and he loves the activities he can get involved in such as football, French and show and tell. An amazing nursery!

What an excellent nursery, very good communication, very helpful, went out of their way to make myself and my daughter very welcome. Did everything they could and more when first starting. The staff were amazing.

Our daughter has been at the nursery for over 2 years. We would highly recommend the nursery. The staff have all been fantastic with our daughter, they have always gone above and beyond to ensure she has settled and felt comfortable within the nursery.

The most amazing nursery! All staff members are so welcoming when you enter the nursery or if you need any help/questions to ask.
This is my second child attending this nursery and I would 100% recommend it to anyone who is struggling to leave their children somewhere whilst they work.

Our son has been at this nursery for a year and a half nearly now, all staff are professional and approachable. My son has different needs and the nursery is fantastic with them. Overall couldn't recommend it enough, our son loves all the staff and it makes going to work a lot easier knowing our son

My son joined preschool at Little Ladybirds Day Nursery at 3.5 years old. He had been with a childminder since 7 months old and we were both a bit nervous about the fresh start especially as he has lots of allergies.
We visited a couple of nurseries when deciding where to go and we instantly knew
that Little Ladybirds was the one!
The preschool and management team couldn’t have made us feel any more welcome and informed about the whole process. My son loves attending, with so many fun and educational activities taking place each day. His development has been amazing with the support of the team and I love how informed we are of what they have been up to each day.
Nothing has been too much to accommodate his dietary requirements, and the team have been amazing at thinking up new recipes and ideas that mirror what the rest of the children are eating, checking in with me if there are queries on certain ingredients and supporting the other children with awareness about allergies.

Very polite staff, who are very well trained and great at what they do.
The nursery always goes above to help my son and give him everything he needs to develop at an early stage.

We think this is a great nursery both our kids have been here and we have recommended it to friends who now also use this nursery.

Little Ladybirds was a brilliant nursery back in 2020, my daughter had the best care and attention each and every day. The staff were super friendly and extremely helpful in adapting to each child's needs and development stages. That's why there was no question when it came to picking a nursery 3 years
later for my second daughter. She has settled in beautifully and has transferred through 3 rooms seamlessly and with tons of communication from the staff. The community feeling from this nursery is second to none, friendly faces everywhere you look! My little girl was quite quiet and shy but the nursery team have brought her out of her shell and she is always happy to run in each morning. The transition to the nursery is hard for anyone but the app and catch-ups with the staff at pickup make you feel as though you aren't missing out and give you the confidence of knowing your child is well looked after. The menu is varied and trying new things is encouraged. 5 out of 5 from us!

My daughter has been attending Little Ladybirds for just over a year (started in Babies and now in Tweenies) and loves it. She struggles with separation on a morning from me, however, the staff are so patient and supportive of her needs that she calms down within minutes of my leaving. She has a dairy
intolerance and I am confident in knowing that the staff are all aware and ensure she receives the correct alternatives that are available. I always receive a full handover when picking my daughter up, and the staff are always able to answer any questions. So happy with how my daughter has developed and can see her socialising more and more. I would definitely recommend this nursery.

I found it difficult looking around nurseries ready for returning to work as my daughter has additional needs. We looked at several and none lived up to our expectations except Little Ladybirds. They happily talked through our daughter's health issues and our concerns as parents, confidently answering
all our questions and putting our minds at ease. We did not hesitate in deciding this was the right place. She has now been attending for several months and they have lived up to our expectations. They have really worked with our daughter's needs and they make activities to suit her. They have also worked with her health professionals to help her progress. We are kept up to date and they make the time to discuss what is happening outside of nursery. The app updates that include pictures throughout the day give a great insight into the activities she has been involved in. We really feel that our daughter has made great strides forward and that’s down to the amazing staff that go above and beyond.

Cannot recommend this nursery enough. Our baby boy started in March 2023 and when he did, he had a food aversion, was losing weight, and under 4 consultants. Little Ladybirds really went above and beyond to support him and us as a family. It took a lot of patience, perseverance, and constant communication
but within a few months of him starting, we went from him having a few mouthfuls a day of food to eating 3 meals a day. Each day is different with him and how he eats, but one thing always remains the same. The team never give up. They try so hard to get him to eat, different varieties of food, and different approaches. We could only dream of being able to eat out with him as a family but now we can do just that and that is down to the help of everyone at Little Ladybirds. Special mention to one particular member of staff in the baby room who was our first point of contact and really got his relationship with food on the right track. We will be forever grateful and would recommend this nursery to anyone.

The staff at Little Ladybirds Day Nursery work cohesively as a team to provide a home from home environment for all children. Ably led by a Manager with an approach that is reminiscent of the Every Child Matters agenda. Supported by a Deputy Manager who leads and supports staff and together this team
empower and drive the staff in a calm and nurturing fashion. My children enjoy spending time in nursery, the staff are friendly, empathetic and professional. I've made the decision to keep the children at Little Ladybirds for Pre School because they are happy and I feel that the partnership that we have with Nursery staff is outstanding and invaluable to my children and their development. Well done Team.

Our little girl has been attending Little Ladybirds for the past 6 months and absolutely loves it. Her confidence and language skills have soared since starting. She gets to enjoy a wide range of activities and a variety of healthy foods and its brilliant to see how happy she is whenever she's there.
When she's at nursery we get updates on how she's slept, what she's eaten and pictures from the activities she's taken part it. There's also regular parents forums, open days and more. It's all very reassuring and transparent and makes you feel a huge part of it, even when you're not there. The staff are all really friendly, knowledgeable and seem to have a genuine love for what they do. We're so glad we chose this nursery, it came highly recommended and we can't recommend it enough ourselves too.

Claire has over 16 years of experience within early years education, including working in private settings and children’s centres. This includes helping children who require additional support and guidance.

Sarah has Levels 2, 3 & 4 in Childcare, as well as a Foundation Degree in Early Years. She joined Little Ladybirds in 2012 which makes her one of our longest serving members of staff.

Zoe Forrester

Job Title: Pre-School Room Leader Joined: 2013

Zoe joined Little Ladybirds in 2013 and as our Pre-School Room Leader, she oversees the day-to-day running of the room, including planning observations, activities, liaising with parents and generally ensuring the children are safe and happy.
