Tynemouth Nursery

Such a great nursery! My son and daughter have both attended Tynemouth Nursery at Preston Avenue, and I have nothing but great things to say about it. The staff are amazing. They are always so caring and nurturing with the children and the management team are always so accommodating and helpful.

The team at Tynemouth Nursery have been great and have really contributed positively to our son's development. They have always been helpful and accommodating with any questions we’ve had. The time he has spent at nursery has really brought him on and he is noticeably more confident as a result.

My daughter has been attending this setting for 2 and a half years, and she has always had a great relationship with all the staff. Her speech and physical development has been hugely helped by the staff at Tynemouth Nursery - not to mention the great menu options!

Attending this nursery has helped our son's development in so many ways. His gross motor skills, social interactions and language are all thriving and I feel coming to Tynemouth Nursery, even just once a week has contributed massively to this. The staff are so friendly and really seem to know and care about the kids.

My son has loved going to Tynemouth nursery. After having an isolated experience during covid, our son has been hesitant socially but has blossomed in confidence, since starting. He is not only having fun at nursery, but learning too. I could not speak highly enough of the staff and the nearly hourly updates of my son's day on the app and website put a lot of ease on worries. The best nursery in the North East.

My little girl has been coming to this nursery for almost a year and she loves it. We never have any problems and she often comes home dirty, tired and happy - the sign of a good day! She loves the garden and I love that she gets to spend a lot of time outside. The staff are kind and friendly and the nursery building provides a great space for learning. The food menu looks great and my daughter seems to eat it all! The app is great and a useful platform for us to communicate with the nursery as well as find out information about what she has been doing in the day, given that she can't yet communicate this herself fully. The nursery celebrates lots of different events and there always seems to be something new and exciting for her to get involved in. The nursery is safe and I feel confident leaving her that she will be happy and fulfilled throughout the day.

I can't recommend this nursery highly enough, my son has attended Tynemouth Nursery since he was 5-months-old (now 21 months) and he absolutely loves it. The nursery provides a great range of activities that meet his developmental needs and ever-growing curiosity. They celebrate a wide range of topics which promote learning and inclusivity and also use top childrens activities providers. The nursery environment is very welcoming and safe with excellent facilities, the outside play area is amazing with mud kitchens, sandpits, dens, a climbing frame with slide and excellent outdoor toys. They offer a healthy well-balanced food menu, my son will literally eat anything! Aside from all the above the best thing about the nursery is the staff, they are just great and genuinely care about the children. From the first time I visited the nursery, I knew this was the place for my son and have always felt absolutely confident that he is receiving the best care.

Fantastic supportive nursery. Two members of staff, in particular, hugely supported my eldest son with his eating and confidence, now my youngest is receiving the same support from his key nursery staff. The manager is always quick to respond to queries and change sessions.

Both of our daughters have attended Tynemouth Nursery and have enjoyed every day. They have a range of activities to keep the kids entertained and educated. As a parent, I always feel informed of any changes and improvements being made to the nursery. The staff are very caring and have shown real affection to our children and really care about their wellbeing. As a result, our children have both formed lovely relationships with their key workers. All the staff are very friendly and I feel very confident that my children are safe at Tynemouth nursery and have so much fun.

After our very first taster session, I was sure this would be a perfect fit for my son. The staff were so wonderful with him, he instantly warmed to them despite being a little shy generally around strangers. He looks forward to going every week and loves to tell me about his day and what he's been up to. I really enjoy reading the diary updates whilst he's there, it gives me peace of mind knowing he's having such a great time, looking at the photos and checking how much he has had to eat and drink etc. The staff are always very welcoming and always take the time to update me on how everything has been that day. I would 100% recommend this nursery and we are looking forward to many more wonderful months with them.

Tynemouth Nursery has been absolutely fantastic for my son. Even though he’s in 4 days per week, each day is filled with different activities and sometimes external providers also come in to provide wonderful enrichment sessions. He seems relaxed and confident going in each day, as if it’s a home from home. All the staff seem to know all the children which makes it a really friendly environment and his key worker is always on hand to provide information about his day.

Our son attends Tynemouth Nursery at North Shields. All of the staff are really friendly, extremely helpful and obviously interested in his care and development. We are so pleased with his progress, and much of this is down to the efforts of the staff at Tynemouth Nursery. Even though our son is still quite young, he is always excited to go to nursery, and he obviously enjoys his time there so much. We always look forward to hearing what he has been up to when we pick him up, the staff always provide detailed handovers about his day and seeing him full of smiles is all the reassurance we need! We would not hesitate to recommend Tynemouth Nursery to anyone considering using them for their child.

My son has thrived since starting Tynemouth Nursery six months ago. He loves the wide range of activities and has formed great relationships with the staff. I’m kept well informed on how he’s getting on, his progress, and love seeing pictures and videos of him at nursery.

Tynemouth Nursery has always been excellent in my opinion, even from my daughter going there March 2016 - August 2018, and now my son absolutely loves it. Friendly, encouraging staff, warm, inviting, homely setting. Would highly recommend to anyone to send their children here.

Our son is always happy at Tynemouth Nursery. He is well looked after, comes home exhausted, but happy!

Our daughter has attended Tynemouth Nursery since she was 17-months-old. Only two and a half days a week, and she is absolutely thriving. The staff are so friendly, and my daughter skips in there for each session. I was initially hesitant to leave her, but now am totally at ease as she enjoys it so much. The photo learning diary with progression updates is a real plus, and at the end of each session, a comprehensive breakdown of your child’s session is given, which makes you realise the staffs super attention to detail. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this nursery.

Both our children have attended this nursery, and my youngest is still currently there. We are very happy with the care and provision she is given. She loves going and has built a good relationship with all the staff and other children there. She feels happy and safe, which is all you can ask for as a parent.

They cover literacy and numeracy, shape and movement, colour wheel, letter formation, taking turns, talking about feelings, as well as outdoor learning.
