My daughter comes here, when she first started she wouldn’t go in and she was getting really upset, after around a week she would go in and cry when she got in the car to come home. They have been excellent with her and her allergies. She has come on loads with her learning, staff are lovely and friendly
highly recommend.
Reply from Christine Prendergast, Nurseries Manager at Marton Childrens Day NurseryThank you, Claire, for your lovely review, it is very much appreciated. It is great that your daughter has settled in well and I am sure that 'team Marton' will be over the moon with your comments.

Wow, what a group of girls and what a team! They have been absolutely amazing during this difficult and crazy year. I couldn't ask for any more than they give in the care of my two children (3 and 1year old). They always ensure to meet the needs of the families and children in their care no matter what
the circumstance. Always there with a smile and my children have come on leaps and bounds which not many parents could say in these difficult times and for that I'm so grateful. I fully recommend this nursery and have done to so many.
Reply from Nichola Profitt, Manager at Marton Childrens Day NurseryThank you, Victoria, for your kind words, we are so pleased to hear what a positive effect nursery has had on your children and it's been lovely to see both of the children progress and make some blossoming relationships with both their peers and our team. We would like to express our gratitude to yourself for showing great trust in us throughout this crazy lockdown year.

My little one enjoys going to nursery and he is always looking forward to going back. They are so supportive and has really helped him a lot to progress in his speech and confidence. I will definitely recommend it to anyone, even with this pandemic, they handled it so well and I never had a second thought
about my son's hygiene while at nursery. Well done team Marton.
Reply from Nichola Profitt, Manager at Marton Childrens Day NurseryThank you, Olanike, for your kind words. We have thoroughly enjoyed seeing the progress your little boy has made with us here at Marton, it has been a pleasure to see him come out of his shell and make some lovely friendships with his peers. We have been very conscious throughout the pandemic to make sure our setting was a safe haven for all our children where they can participate in their nursery routines freely without worry or change.

My child started nursery back in December 2020 and just in the small time he’s been there, he has come on leaps and bounds in his development! Every time we collect him after work he doesn’t even notice we are there as he is just the best time. The staff are friendly and make us feel at ease leaving
our child all day. The fees are very reasonable for what they do for him. Outstanding place, we never want him to leave!
Reply from Nichola Profitt, Manager at Marton Childrens Day NurseryThank you so much for your kind words, Emily, we love to hear how nursery has a positive impact on the children and how happy our parents are with the progress their children are making whilst being with us. The children are at the centre of everything we do here at Marton and we will continue to provide the very best opportunities for learning and development in a loving and nurturing environment.

My daughter can be quite particular and funny with new people. She has always been quite clingy with me and this was difficult when trying to think of childcare options. We started when she was 11-months-old and the staff in the baby room have been amazing. She struggled at first and they were so patient
with her. They followed our usual routine as best they could and she settled. She’s now almost 2. Having a break for COVID meant she was really unsure about going back. She had a rocky start but now she comes home and is so excited every day by what she’s been doing at nursery. She always talks about the staff with a smile on her face and I feel comfortable knowing she’s been looked after so well. I’ve never had any issues with this nursery and I’d recommend it to anyone who wants genuine, caring and a fun team looking after their little ones. Thank you Marton.
Reply from Christine Prendergast, Nurseries Manager at Marton Childrens Day NurseryThank you very much for the lovely review, Jessica and it is great to know you feel comfortable knowing she's been looked after well by our genuine caring team.

Wonderful nursery with dedicated caring staff our sons could not be happier with them. They are always aspiring to do more and vary the activities for the children including their inclusion in the local community and at this time they are even more hyper-vigilant to keeping our children safe and well!

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.948)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.948) out of 10 for Marton Childrens Day Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 37 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 37 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.948 for Marton Childrens Day Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (422 Excellents x 5) + (21 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 444 Ratings = 4.948
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Marton Childrens Day Nursery is based on 37 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 97 number of registered child places is 19.4, which has been reached with 37 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
