Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-School, Newbiggin

I was a very nervous parent when looking for a nursery for my daughter, I had visited numerous nurseries. Newbiggin made me feel most comfortable and at ease. They explained all aspects of the nursery prior to choosing the nursery e.g. routine, outdoor/indoor ratio, key workers and meals, to name a few. Management were able to accommodate all my needs and answered all my questions. One of the best qualities about the nursery is their equipment, following the curiosity approach and the amazing activities implemented. My daughter has an amazing bond with her key worker, she took the time to get to know her and made her more comfortable and confident in the nursery, my child speaks about her fondly at home and gets excited to see her too. When my child comes home she talks about nursery, all the friends she has and what she has been doing that day.

Excellent nursery - both of my children have attended here. The key workers who have looked after my children have been brilliant. The staff are always very caring and approachable, they listen and are very responsive to your needs/concerns as a parent. It feels like the staff are part of our family. There are lots of new and creative things for the children each week. My children particularly liked watching the chicks hatch out of their eggs, watching the caterpillars grow into butterflies and animals being brought into the nursery. Under normal circumstances, there's lots of parent engagement such as stay and play, themed parties, parent forum, sports day, parent breakfast sessions etc. Finally, they have bent over backwards to do anything they can to support children and parents through Covid and amazingly only two confirmed cases throughout the whole pandemic, which is amazing! It's great to know our children are safe and I'm extremely thankful!

Both my kids have attended this nursery, the youngest still does, and they both loved it and the staff, and both have come on so well. The communication between key workers and parents is exceptional and all information on the app is great even pictures and step to work on and towards so you feel involved in your child's development.

My daughter has been coming here for 2 years she loves attending and is always happy to go in, staff are great with her. Her speech is amazing for her age. Love seeing how she is developing on the app.

Fantastic nursery would definitely recommend. My son is so happy here and the teachers are very approachable and friendly. All of the children are lovely and the nursery is very clean and safe for my child. The lunch menu is great and my child has a wide variety of different foods daily and the learning side is unbelievable. My child learns a lot and comes out with extraordinary vocabulary.

Our little girl has attended this nursery from being 2 and she is due to finish in August. From the very first day the staff there have been warm, welcoming and very attentive to ensure she has been settled and enjoys every day with them. She comes home with nothing but fun stories and excitement to go back. I have always been reassured, especially in the early days if I was to call to check on my daughter as well as with the daily app updates. We have had an excellent experience and have already recommended this nursery to friends and family. Thank you to all the staff there.

The nursery has been fabulous in settling our baby in, as she started during the pandemic she wasn't used to strange people and environments. She now seems really settled and happy when she's at nursery and is really well looked after by the staff.

The staff are amazing and my son has flourished since attending. I couldn’t sing their praises enough. It is an amazing place to learn and develop social and educational skills. They treat my son like one of their own.

Great communication in regards to childcare. Love reading observations and seeing photos. Love the app. Key worker is brilliant, always really helpful and always giving feedback at the end of the day.

Staff friendly.

I'm really happy with where my daughter is at. She is having a great time learning and having fun with staff and friends.

My experience is very good. My daughter loves coming to see her friends and learning all new things. Her speech is coming on excellent and I can tell she is thriving from being there.

Since my daughter has started this nursery she has blossomed and enjoys being at the nursery and making new friends.

I could not recommend this nursery enough. The staff are outstanding and regularly go out of their way to help you. My little boy has been attending this nursery since 7 months old and he runs into nursery happy and excited for his day ahead. Amazing nursery.

Absolutely love this nursery and the staff here. Always greeted with a smile and my children are coming on leaps and bounds.

All of the staff have helped our daughter settle in since starting in September. They are friendly and approachable and always give full informative feedback about the day.

I can't fault the nursery, only praise it and I would and have recommended it. My son loves it and only has good things to say about it when I collect him and when he gets home, staff always friendly and informative.

My child has developed massively since attending nursery. Her speech is amazing for her age. She has had an amazing bond with all of her key workers which has made me feel more at ease leaving her.

My daughter loves coming here. She knows all the staff and they all know her. We have had good advice and support with moving from nappies to going without. She enjoys the singing and dancing and does them at home too. She particularly likes singing about broccoli! Outdoor space could be bigger but they make the best of it. My daughter is almost always outside when I go to pick her up.

My little boy has settled really well into the baby room. The staff are amazing, especially in dealing with his allergies.
