Busy Bees Harrogate Pannal Ash

This is my second child to attend this setting and we are still very pleased with the level of care. Covid has made a huge difference, which is a shame. I can see through the windows a lack of pictures and items on the walls, which I don't understand! Please make the rooms more colourful! Why are they so grey! Colour, please!

We have had a positive experience since our son started nursery in January 2022. Within the first week, we could tell he was happy, as he was always smiling at the staff when dropped off and picked up. They always greet us and our son so happily and remember important details that are specific to him and his care. We love the app, where we can see what he has been doing at times throughout the day. The food seems healthy with plenty of choice. We are told quickly if he doesn't seem himself at all. We trust the care and our son has lots of fun. We are very happy!

My son is happy at nursery and has made lots of friends. He is in the preschool room and they have been learning about certain topics each week. My son learns a lot and tells us about it and we feel he is getting a good preschool education. Recent topics have included Chinese new year, space, colour mixing, elephants, food. He loves the staff who instil good daily practices ( washing hands, not speaking with a mouth full, using a knife and fork etc). My only annoyance with the nursery is the amount we have to pay per day, now that we are able to claim 30 hrs a week free childcare, it is far more than we could ever have envisaged and it seems unfair.

Clearly marked car parking spaces are required. Separate pedestrian gates for entry/exit with guide markings in the carpark is a must to avoid accidents. Potential for over-reliance on the app at handover, the app is good however, if faulty, not updated or backlog of approvals, can lead to information being available after a time when issues can be raised. These points do not detract from this being an excellent nursery in our experience, this being our third child going through.

Our daughter loves going to nursery and always comes home telling us what a fun day she has had. The carers in her room are great with her, and she is so fond of them and tells us all about them. She is challenged and seems to always come home singing new songs or telling us about what she has learned. She eats most of her meals there too, so the food must be good. It's difficult for me to comment on resources, cleanliness etc, as we have never been inside due to Covid.

Our son has been attending this nursery for over two years. He has always been very happy here and we have always felt he has been well cared for. He has had smooth progression through the rooms from baby to pre-school stages, facilitated by excellent key workers and a lovely team of staff. I was so impressed with the nursery over the pandemic and the way they dealt with all the challenges it posed. He is offered some great learning experiences. I love to see the photos posted on the app and to hear what he tells us about his day!

From the moment our journey began at Busy Bees, it has been nothing short of excellent. The attention to detail, care and support towards our daughter and the communication with us is brilliant. Could not imagine sending our daughter anywhere else. I only wish I had found them sooner. Thank you for making it so seamless and enjoyable for our girl.

My daughter has recently started at Busy Bees, Pannal Ash. As you would expect, my little girl has been upset to leave me for her nursery sessions. The staff have been so kind and attentive to her, but also to my own anxiety. My daughter's key worker, in particular, has been really friendly, kind and optimistic about her days there and a great source of comfort. My daughter is exclusively breastfed and the team have gone out of their way to facilitate getting her on a bottle of breast milk! Anything I discuss with them about my daughter's care, they are willing to try to facilitate, even if it’s an inconvenience to them. They are all so unfailingly kind! I am very pleased to have chosen this nursery!

My son really enjoys going to nursery and always comes home worn out from doing all sorts of fun things! All of the staff from the baby room up to the Buzz room have been brilliant with him and after dropping him off, I'm confident that he will be looked after. The app is a great way of keeping up to date with what he's been doing, including other important aspects, such as how much he is eating and when he was a baby, how many nappy changes he was having.

Really good nursery experience. Our son is very happy at Busy Bees Pannal Ash and is always excited to tell us what he has done that day. The staff are very friendly and warm and are happy to give as many cuddles as your little one needs to help them feel secure. The nursery does a variety of activities each day to make sure the children are stimulated and learning all the time. Sometimes the staff don't have a lot of time at pickup time in the evenings but this is a very busy time and they always do their best to tell us about our son's day.

My daughter started in the baby room at the nursery in 2018. She has now been there nearly 3-years, working her way up through the toddler room and now in the pre-school room. She has been very happy all the way up through the stages and always come home happy. Her key workers have been lovely. The nursery has a great outdoor play area and plenty of indoor activities too. The nursery was fantastic during lockdown at keeping us updated and preparing us for wider (non-keyworker) re-reopening, allowing parents to choose when they were happy for their kids to return with no pressure. The key workers go out of their way to have a good handover at pick up time, and the app keeps us updated on mealtimes and occasionally what the kids have been up to during the day. Would highly recommend this nursery.

My daughter has been going to Pannal Ash (Busy Bees, Harrogate) for the past five months. In Harrogate we have so many choices of nursery but I'm so glad we choose Pannal Ash. We currently go twice a week, soon to be three and she absolutely loves it. I know from the regular updates, photos and food menus (of which my daughter eats everything) she is in safe hands. The team are excellent under what are very challenging times. If you are thinking about where your child should go, look no further. Plus, great drive in/drive out car park, it really does make a difference.

I have two children at this nursery and I could not be happier as the staff are all welcoming and know each child individually. They have themed weeks where children learn something different every day, they keep you updated with what's been happening in a monthly newsletter. They have also launched Parent Zone so you see your child's food intake, nappies and any achievements. I like the fact they get the children playing outside as much as possible as well as teaching them their golden rules like tidy up, share, listen etc some of this is done through songs which my little boy likes to sing at home. All the staff are really helpful and supportive and they have done so well with all the new COVID restrictions put in place in 2020. I know my children are as safe as possible and they really love going.

My son began his time at Busy Bees at Pannal Ash in September 2020. Despite Covid, he has absolutely thrived here from Day 1 of his settling in days and I cannot recommend it enough. He has learnt so much and settled in so well with all the activities there and is exhausted by the time he gets home. The girls who work here put in so much effort and care and devotion into each child. I always collect my son with a big beaming smile on his face and I am given a lovely, detailed account of what he has done each day - as well as being kept up to date with everything on the new app. The care and smiles and effort that go into this nursery are second to none, making it a very special nursery indeed.

We all know COVID-19 has thrown a rather large curve ball and Busy Bees at Pannal Ash have been incredible. Their communication on any necessary changes has been fantastic, the support the staff provide to me as a single parent is amazing, they really are part of our family. As an ex-teacher, appropriate developmental learning is something I look for and I have been very impressed with the range of learning materials and the regular changes they make and their commitment to continuous improvement of an already excellent service. My child is now in their pre-school and has been with them since just under a year old and I am very happy to have found such a great environment for my child to socialise, play and learn. They also offer a great, varied, healthy menu on a long rota so they are not repeating the same meals often and have the new app ParentZone giving notifications of your child's development and daily activities, which I love to keep connected to while at work.

Great nursery - staff are lovely and supportive, communication is good through newsletters, emails and their app, my little girl is always learning and is happy to be there. It’s been very difficult for everyone during covid but I feel safe sending my daughter as I know all the correct procedures are in place.

I wanted to just say how pleased and happy I am with the staff at Busy Bees. From their smiles and positive attitudes to the great care they have for my child, or the fun activities they plan, to all the amazing progress my child has made, I would recommend this nursery 100%. I am so confident about leaving my child in their care. Even with the new covid regulations, I feel everyone at Busy Bees has adapted to all the changes with grace, and not missed a beat. Awesome job to everyone there and a huge thank you from our family.

My son has been going to Busy Bees at Harrogate and Pannal Ash since April 2020 and he absolutely loves it. All the team display such passion and enthusiasm for all the children in their care and have done such an amazing job over his time there. Things are different in today's world and with all the challenges it brings I have not once observed any negativity, been worried about his care or felt a risk. The team here are brilliant at what they do day in day out, we could have not wished for more. Thank you to all of you!

We have been very happy with the service provided by Kindercare - Pannal Ash Road. The staff have been very caring, capable and supportive with our boy. Everyone was particularly good when the little brother arrived and our boy struggled to be dropped off at nursery. We also feel that he's learning new skills and improving his social skills every time he's at nursery.

My 10-month-old son started with Busy Bees this September, we have been more than impressed with all the staff who have helped our little boy settle in so quickly. We love the idea of the baby diary that gets filled every session, which helps us get a great insight into how he has been that day. We are so pleased we chose this nursery, and can't wait to watch our son grow up in such a lovely environment.
