Partou Ladybirds Day Nursery & Pre-school is a nursery in the heart of Methley, caring for children aged nought to five-years-old.

The nursery also offers a fun Breakfast Club, After School Club and Holiday Club for children aged up to 11.

Ladybirds’ beautiful Grade II listed building has its own enclosed woodland and exciting adventure playground, where children are encouraged to go on adventures every day. The setting also has a fantastic sensory room, filled with sparkling lights and colours.

All meals and snacks at the nursery are healthy, nutritionally balanced and freshly prepared in the nursery kitchen using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible.

Ladybirds' kind, caring staff are experienced and highly qualified, with the majority holding a Level 3 or above in childcare, a paediatric first aid certificate and safeguarding training. The Ladybirds team provide children with learning activities planned around each child’s needs and interests, covering all aspects of the EYFS stage.

All staff have enhanced DBS checks and the nursery has CCTV and secure door entry systems for added security.

Highly recommend this day nursery. My son has been going there for over a year now. His development has been great to watch, he learns something new everyday. He has such strong bonds with his key workers and peers, which is a reflection on the environment. It's a great environment for him to continue

Our son has been with Ladybirds from the age of 4 months (now two and a half) and is now in five days a week. The staff are absolutely fantastic and are always so incredibly engaged with the children. The activities and learning opportunities are brilliant, our son always comes home full of energy,
chatting about the things he has done with friends and staff.


There are great outdoor spaces that every one utilises as much as possible, the setting is beautiful and quiet. Meals are well prepared and varied and have really encouraged our son to try new foods and experiences!

My daughter has been going to Ladybirds since she was 11 months and has thrived from being there. She's now 2 and loves running in on her own. The staff are kind, caring and compassionate. They keep me updated with what she's doing via the app and I feel confident they'll ring when they need to but
they are good at managing things that they can. My daughter loves being outside so the garden is perfect for her.


Overall they are fantastic. Like any nursery it is daunting letting someone else take care of your child but the ladies are so personable it makes us all feel comfortable and safe.

Brilliant nursery my little one loves going and now runs up to the door to get in every morning.
Every day is different with a range of inside and outside activities from singing, themed days, messy play which they love the most.
The staff are brilliant and keep us informed with how they are getting

Our child has been at Ladybirds since he was 11 months old right up until 4 years old. He has been very happy and settled here throughout his time. The staff who have worked with him have been caring and understanding and there is always new and exciting activities and learning taking place. There is
a nice outdoor area and inside there is a stimulating learning environment. The meals are always healthy and well balanced. The nursery manager responds to issues quickly and thoroughly and is understanding of child development. I am sending my second child here later this year. Would definitely recommend this nursery!

My little one loves nursery life from when she first started earlier this year. All staff made her feel welcome and everyone takes the time to say hi to her. She loves Ladybirds and is always running up the path to see her keyworker and all the children. She is getting ready to move up and the staff
have been so helpful in supporting her through her next transition. I've never met such a caring group of people who all take pride in their job. Even the manager of the nursery says hi to her and takes her time to check in with children and parents. I 100% recommend Ladybirds and their caring team.

My son recently started nursery at Partou Ladybirds Day Nursery, in the baby unit. Like every mummy, I was hesitant to send him to a nursery because the thought of having to trust someone else to do my job was very daunting and new to me as I never put my firstborn into a nursery setting at at such
a young age. However, a couple of weeks on he is thriving, engaging in new social interaction and meeting lots of new people which is a great relief to know he feels comfortable and secure with the staff and in a warm and friendly environment. His key worker and the other staff make sure his needs are met and follow any advice I have on the morning drop-off in order to keep him happy that day. I love the app and I can see how happy he is during his day through pictures. The cook also went above and beyond to meet my son's fussy food strike and made a separate meal. Making a stressful time that little easier. I can not thank the nursery staff enough and would highly recommend it.

Partou Ladybirds Day Nursery and Pre-school is absolutely fantastic for our little one. We were obviously daunted by the initial implication of getting a nursery space, but we can't fault Partou Ladybirds Day Nursery and Pre-school at all! The staff are so attentive and you can tell they care about
all of the children as if they were their own! The children are always involved in something and it's always a pleasure to be there! The range of activities offered, as well as the capacity to cope with varying ages and abilities is fantastic, with no child 'left behind'. Our son always enjoys his time at Partou Ladybirds Day Nursery and Pre-school and we're sure he will continue to develop and flourish! Our son who is almost 3 has been going there since October 2023 and has settled in really well. We love that we get an update every day in person and on an app with pictures of how his day was. He loves going there and even before the weekend is over he’s already excited to go. The teachers are great
and pay attention to our son and how he’s doing throughout the day. The nursery has also been supporting us with potty training. Highly recommend the nursery.

Our daughter loves Ladybirds Private Day Nursery and Pre-school. She has been here for thirteen months after a poor experience in a previous nursery. I was anxious to leave her in another nursery setting but I needn't have been. Our daughter settled amazingly well from the start, the staff are just
brilliant. She went through a bit of an unsettled phase recently, a generally clingy phase which wasn't just nursery-related. The staff were amazing, I was so thankful to her key worker and other staff members for their hard work and the ideas they came up with in helping us to get her resettled. They really went over and above to help her overcome this phase and she is now back to loving nursery again and is thriving. The nursery itself has such a lovely, homey feel and the outdoor spaces are brilliant for our outdoorsy girl! As parents, it's never easy leaving your child in someone else's care but we leave her there absolutely confident that they are giving her the best possible care. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ladybirds!

My child has been going to Ladybirds Private Day Nursery and Pre-school since November 2021 and I am so happy with the experience we have had so far.
My daughter is thriving and the staff are so supportive, I cannot rate this nursery highly enough.
All staff members are friendly, and the nursery
manager is really approachable (and visible!), the quality of the meals is also fab.
Communication within the nursery setting is also top-notch, you know exactly what your child has done that day and how they have got on.

Ladybirds Private Day Nursery and Pre-school is a wonderful nursery, with an incredibly kind and caring team. Our son has been attending for just over a month, in their baby room. We were so nervous about him starting but straight away - even from the very first settling-in session - they took the time
to get to know him and our minds were put at ease.
The environment is lovely - so cosy and welcoming - and I feel so happy dropping him off on a morning. The menu is fantastic. A great variety of home-cooked, nutritious meals for them to try. Great updates via the app too.
They have great activities to keep the little ones entertained and in just these first few weeks, I can really see how he has progressed.
I wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending Ladybirds and I look forward to seeing how our son thrives in their care!

My daughter has been going here for a few months, after a bad experience at a different nursery in the area I was so anxious about her starting another nursery.
She only goes one day a week but they have made such an effort in making her feel so welcome, she loves it and seems so happy there.
She
is currently in the baby room with her key worker and I honestly couldn’t fault the care. They have been amazing with her and I am so grateful they have put my trust back into childcare. The manager is also lovely and really appears to prioritise getting to know the children and the care delivered by her staff.
