Partou Ladybirds Day Nursery & Pre-School is set within a characterful grade II listed building at St Oswald's Centre in the heart of Methley, providing high-quality early years childcare and education for families across Methley and the wider Leeds community. A large off-road car park makes drop-offs and pick-ups straightforward, and the nursery was named one of the Top 20 nurseries in Yorkshire and Humber 2025, achieving a perfect score based entirely on family reviews.

The long-standing team is at the heart of what makes Partou Ladybirds so special. The Nursery Manager has been here for over 20 years, the deputy team for over 10, and most staff for at least five years. Five outdoor spaces across the nursery ensure every age group has a garden designed for their stage of development, including a forest-style garden for pre-school children to climb trees, explore nature and build physical confidence and resilience. My daughter attended this nursery and now my son goes for 3 days per week. The nursery staff are all kind, caring, supportive and friendly. You can tell they really care about the children they look after.
The menu is very healthy and has variety. The nursery is inclusive and caters for all needs
and abilities.
The outdoor provision is really good and the children love playing in it!
Thank you to Ladybirds for all you do. I feel happy and confident leaving my little boy with you.

My first child came to Ladybirds (who is now at school but enjoys going to the stay and plays like she's still there!) and my second child currently attends. They both love it! All staff are friendly, welcoming and approachable. Nothing is too much trouble. They take the time to understand your child
and make sure their needs are catered for. Every day is a fun packed day with great learning activities as well. The facilities are lovely and the outside spaces are great. Ladybirds have been part of our lives for over 8 years, we can't thank them enough for the support they provide.

They are just amazing!
Every member of staff that my daughter has had the pleasure of being cared by have been so kind, passionate & enthusiastic. How they do it I don't know but I'm so glad they do.
The nursery applies fairness as a rule & offer such variety in their activities & approaches to
their care.
Always greeted with a smile by them all (even after challenging days) & our kid loves it there.
Nothing but love & appreciation for what they do.

Really recommend this nursery, my daughter has attended for just over a year now and my second daughter will soon be joining. Staff are friendly and always have a wide range of activities going on for the children. There is always lots of outdoor play which was a key factor for us choosing a nursery.
To have peace of mind to know my children are/will be well looked after and also to be kept updated on the days proceedings via the app or at pick up is always great. My daughter has made some good friends and is always happy to spend the day at Ladybirds.

Absolutely fantastic nursery. All the staff are lovely and really care about my child and her development and wellbeing. I never have any worries that she's having a great day. My child has come on so much since starting at Ladybirds. I would encourage anyone to try them.

Our son has been with Ladybirds from the age of 4 months (now two and a half) and is now in five days a week. The staff are absolutely fantastic and are always so incredibly engaged with the children. The activities and learning opportunities are brilliant, our son always comes home full of energy,
chatting about the things he has done with friends and staff.


There are great outdoor spaces that every one utilises as much as possible, the setting is beautiful and quiet. Meals are well prepared and varied and have really encouraged our son to try new foods and experiences!

My daughter has been going to Ladybirds since she was 11 months and has thrived from being there. She's now 2 and loves running in on her own. The staff are kind, caring and compassionate. They keep me updated with what she's doing via the app and I feel confident they'll ring when they need to but
they are good at managing things that they can. My daughter loves being outside so the garden is perfect for her.


Overall they are fantastic. Like any nursery it is daunting letting someone else take care of your child but the ladies are so personable it makes us all feel comfortable and safe.

Brilliant nursery my little one loves going and now runs up to the door to get in every morning.
Every day is different with a range of inside and outside activities from singing, themed days, messy play which they love the most.
The staff are brilliant and keep us informed with how they are getting
on and what they've been up to on a daily basis. Can't recommend the nursery enough!

Our child has been at Ladybirds since he was 11 months old right up until 4 years old. He has been very happy and settled here throughout his time. The staff who have worked with him have been caring and understanding and there is always new and exciting activities and learning taking place. There is
a nice outdoor area and inside there is a stimulating learning environment. The meals are always healthy and well balanced. The nursery manager responds to issues quickly and thoroughly and is understanding of child development. I am sending my second child here later this year. Would definitely recommend this nursery!

Due to their hard work it's great to see how well my granddaughter is developing.

My little one loves nursery life from when she first started earlier this year. All staff made her feel welcome and everyone takes the time to say hi to her. She loves Ladybirds and is always running up the path to see her keyworker and all the children. She is getting ready to move up and the staff
have been so helpful in supporting her through her next transition. I've never met such a caring group of people who all take pride in their job. Even the manager of the nursery says hi to her and takes her time to check in with children and parents. I 100% recommend Ladybirds and their caring team.

My son recently started nursery at Partou Ladybirds Day Nursery, in the baby unit. Like every mummy, I was hesitant to send him to a nursery because the thought of having to trust someone else to do my job was very daunting and new to me as I never put my firstborn into a nursery setting at at such
a young age. However, a couple of weeks on he is thriving, engaging in new social interaction and meeting lots of new people which is a great relief to know he feels comfortable and secure with the staff and in a warm and friendly environment. His key worker and the other staff make sure his needs are met and follow any advice I have on the morning drop-off in order to keep him happy that day. I love the app and I can see how happy he is during his day through pictures. The cook also went above and beyond to meet my son's fussy food strike and made a separate meal. Making a stressful time that little easier. I can not thank the nursery staff enough and would highly recommend it.

Partou Ladybirds Day Nursery and Pre-school is absolutely fantastic for our little one. We were obviously daunted by the initial implication of getting a nursery space, but we can't fault Partou Ladybirds Day Nursery and Pre-school at all! The staff are so attentive and you can tell they care about
all of the children as if they were their own! The children are always involved in something and it's always a pleasure to be there! The range of activities offered, as well as the capacity to cope with varying ages and abilities is fantastic, with no child 'left behind'. Our son always enjoys his time at Partou Ladybirds Day Nursery and Pre-school and we're sure he will continue to develop and flourish! We would highly recommend any parent looking for a nursery in the vicinity to head to Partou Ladybirds Day Nursery and Pre-school.

Friendly and professional staff. Have an interest in every child as an individual, know the children's likes and dislikes and take an interest in home life and family. It is a very stimulating environment at the nursery for learning through play.

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews.     2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 60 number of registered child places is 12, which has been reached with 40 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
