My daughter has settled really well at Daisy Chain. They always make me feel at ease when my daughter is in their care. The staff are always really friendly, welcoming and very informative. My daughter loves her key worker and attending nursery which is the most important thing to me. I would recommend
them to anybody looking for a nursery in the area.

My little boy has been at the nursery for nearly two years, and my older boy attended another branch of the same nursery. The staff are warm and welcoming which was always a top priority for me, knowing he's well cared for and happy.

Our son has attended Daisy Chain Rothwell since just after his 1st Birthday and he absolutely loves it. The staff are fantastic, which is very reassuring to know, he is in good hands while we are at work. The range of activities is very good, and we always get an update of what he has been up to at
the end of the day. We love to see the pictures and updates on the Tapestry app - it's great to see the action shots of him enjoying himself. Our son is shortly about to turn 2, it's now great to see him starting to make friends with the other children in his room.

I have 2 children at Daisy Chain in Rothwell and they both thoroughly love going to nursery. All of the staff genuinely care about every single child and go out of the way to help them to develop. The facilities are great and love that the kids come home shattered and dirty after having so much fun
learning new things.

Myself and my son love Daisy Chain. I feel at ease leaving him in the capable hands of the Daisy Chain team. He gets to do so many creative activities and his nursery teachers write down everything he has done throughout the day including meals, activities and nappy changes. He gets to play outside
which he really enjoys. I love how they are always making things for events in the year. It really is a joy bringing him here so thank you for being fantastic!

My eldest son attended Daisy Chain for 4 and a half years leaving in September 2014, my youngest son has recently started at the nursery.
I am pleased to see that standards have been maintained through these years and encouraged that many of the staff are the same and staff turnover appears to be
low.
The key workers in his room are engaging constantly with the children and encouraging them to try new things. There is lots of activities undertaken through the day which my little boy loves and is developing very quickly through the play activities. His key worker is very hands on and I feel happy leaving him in her care. He has already developed a strong attachment to her in the couple of weeks since he started and I believe this is because she engages with him and he feels safe knowing she is there.

Daisy Chain Rothwell have worked brilliantly to meet the needs of my daughter and I. Life is never straight forward but the nursery has been understanding and have shown outstanding attention to detail to do their utmost for the care and development of my daughter.
All members of staff have been great

My daughter has enjoyed attending this nursery since she was 18 months old, the staff are lovely and have all worked hard to build a relationship with my daughter. The menu choices are brilliant and I feel my daughter eats a wide range of different healthy meals whilst at the nursery. Would recommend

Both of my sons have attended Daisy Chain Rothwell since 2011. My eldest absolutely loved it and grew both in confidence and character with fantastic carers looking after him in and engaging and safe environment. It was a natural choice for my eldest to attend as well, and he also loves going, he has
founded some real bonds with his carers and thrives in a lovely environment. I know when I am at work he is having fun and with his friends and learning and developing well.

Great nursery and the staff looking after my little boy are very warming towards him, especially the times he is unsettled. Gives me peace of mind leaving him at nursery.


He is a very shy boy and his speech is delayed, which as a parent is causing natural anxieties. I would prefer more contact e.g.

parents evening or meeting to discuss what we as parents can do so, we are all working together. Last review was in the pixies room.


Overall, the staff we have had dealings with, are amazing especially one young girl in particular in the Elves room who has taken him under her wing.


The manager has tried to facilitate where possible, in extra nursery days and trying to sort the days for our son's free hours. Thank you, it is really appreciated.


I only wish we could put him in extra days as it certainly does bring him on in leaps and bounds.


I would definitely recommend this nursery to others.

My daughter loves nursery and is often found copying what she has done at nursery at home. I always know when she has had French or Pyjama Drama as she comes home telling me exactly what she has learnt. The staff are all lovely and really care about my daughter.

A wonderful nursery run by wonderful people. My child is so very happy and it's clear through his development how well he is doing. The food he gets is balanced and nutritious. When I pick him up I am told of all the fun and structured day he has had.

My son loves this Nursery. He has built a strong bond with his key worker. Staff very friendly. The nursery provides different activities like French lessons or music class that my son really enjoys. Happy with this nursery, sad he has to leave.

My sons are 3yrs and 19mth with the 3 year old attending since just after his second birthday, and the 19mth old since he was 11 month. Both boys love going to nursery and love all the activities they do there, as well as all the foods they get. My youngest has some food allergies and the nursery have
accommodated for this really well. Both kids regularly have two portions of their lunches (even when its food that the little blighter refuse to eat at home). Both boys are in their second rooms now and the staff were brilliant in helping them transition. The on-line Tapestry tool is really great and we love seeing the photos that are posted.


If there is one thing that Daisy Chains seems to excel at (beyond all other areas that they are also brilliant at), it is the quality of the staff in all the rooms. They are all amazing and seem to genuinely care about each child.

I love this nursery. They take very good care of my son. The staff are very polite and helpful. They always welcome my son and I with a smile. Good management. They have a lovely environment too. Will recommend them to everyone.

Our daughter absolutely loves it at Daisy Chain, she has attended since she was 10 months old. The staff in each room know her by name and are very friendly, they do a fantastic job looking after her, as parents we have never worried about how she is getting on as it is clear to see how much she enjoys
it. The food is very good and the menu is changed weekly, our daughter often has two portions! She loves all the extra activities that they do, including pyjama drama, French class and the music class. The online tool Tapestry is fantastic, we love seeing the photos that are posted and reading the reports. We already have a place reserved for our other daughter when she is old enough to attend. We would highly recommend the nursery.

My son is now 3 years old and has attended daisy chain since 8 months. As he has moved up through the different stages he has settled in to each room in no time at all,the staff are lovely and make this transition as easy as possible for the children.
My son loves all the staff they are so friendly,
caring and enthusiastic they really are a credit to the nursery.
The nursery provides a wide variety of healthy nutritious meals all cooked onsite.
There is a fantastic outdoor play area, they have music classes and French lessons and that's on top of all the other activities they get up to, i really cant recommend this nursery enough and the communication is great with regular updates.

My daughter has been attending Daisy Chain for over 2 years. Her progression through the different rooms has been seamless, and she has formed good relationships with all the staff on her journey. All the staff know her by name and she loves going. We have never had a problem with her refusing to go
to nursery; recently she has complained when we've picked her up early! I have noticed a lot of changes in my little girls development; she is more sociable and every day surprises me with what she has done and learnt. The annual sports day is fantastic.


I can not praise the staff enough, to do what they do, always smiling and full of energy. They are amazing.

Both my sons have attended Daisy Chain since age 1 and have received consistent high-quality care. The staff in the rooms are always warm, attentive and enthusiastic. They know my sons so well as individuals. Several activities are offered; play, creative, cooking. Last week I walked into Elves with
my son after breakfast to find an inspiring range of activities - one staff member was sitting with a group making dinosaur masks, another rolling out homemade play dough and a third table had an inviting set up of small animal toys! Children were also involved in free play of their own initiative. The atmosphere was welcoming and stimulating for my son inspiring me to post this review! There isn't free access to an outdoor space but the children play out a lot in the private park area and access the school field during holidays. Healthy meals provided. I had a difficulty with changing day but management took time out to resolve this completely to my satisfaction. My sons have blossomed here!

My daughter started with Daisy Chain in October 2015 aged 12 weeks. I was apprehensive about enrolling her so young as she was the youngest child in her room. Some 5 months down the line, I couldn't be happier. She attends nursery 3 days a week and absolutely loves it. The staff are excellent and clearly
enjoy their job. They show a genuine affection her and I feel comfortable that her needs are met at all times. They find innovative ways of engaging her in activities both independently and alongside the older the children. Not only has the nursery been exemplary in their care of my daughter, they have supported me through the challenging early months of motherhood. They have provided vital support in introducing my EBF child to a bottle and now together we are crackling the exciting challenge of introducing her to solid foods. The quality of the food is excellent (it puts my cooking to shame) and It's great to know my daughter is receiving homemade meals during her early months.

Helen

Helen Stoner

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2002

Helen is the Nursery Manager at Daisy Chain Nursery in Rothwell and has been there since it opened in 2002. Helen qualified with an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education in 1995 and has gained experience working with children aged from birth to 11 years, in private day care and out of school provisions. Helen has had several roles within Daisy Chain re-joining Rothwell as Manager in July 21.


Throughout her career in childcare, Helen has attended many training courses to enhance her skills and professional development, she now holds a level 4 qualification in Management of Health and Social Care Organisations. Helen finds her job very rewarding and is passionate about giving children the best possible start in life by offering a warm, friendly, stimulating environment that supports children’s individual learning.
