Bright Horizons Moortown children's day nursery, to the north of Leeds, is a friendly and exciting environment that children will enjoy. It offers high-quality care and education for babies from 3 months to children aged 5 years.

The low-level furniture allows the children unrestricted access to a wide range of resources and activities, and the playrooms are structured in such a way as to promote each child's independence, along with their decision-making and problem-solving skills.

The garden includes an all-new “No Mo” soft play flooring, new outdoor equipment, mark-making tables, refreshed specific baby area, activity sheds, climbing equipment.

Once a family registers, they work closely with them to structure their child's bespoke settling-in session. Each child is allotted a key person to ensure consistency throughout this process. Each child’s key person builds strong bonds with their key children, following their individual care routines and providing for their holistic needs.

This approach enables them to ensure every child's learning and development is focused on preparation for life beyond nursery. They follow the 'early years foundation stage' programme so that all the activities provided meet children's developmental age and stage targets through activities geared to their interests.

Moortown are pleased that from 1st September, the all-inclusive nursery fees at Moortown will be at a new lower rate.

My daughter has been attending Bright Horizons Moortown Day Nursery and Preschool since she turned 1 in March 2023 and she absolutely loves it and is so excited to go.
When the time came for me to return to work I was very nervous about my daughter going to nursery. I went to visit quite a few but
I instantly felt reassured when walking into Bright Horizons Moortown due to the warm welcoming and it felt like such a nurturing and interactive environment, it was evident that the staff put a lot of effort and passion into taking good care of the children.
I booked in some settling-in sessions and my daughter settled in very fast which took me by surprise as she was quite a clingy child.
My daughter has developed so well over the past year not only with her speech and learning but her character and confidence have grown so much and a lot of this is due to the fantastic staff team at Bright Horizons who I couldn't thank enough!
The staff really care about the children and their development and are very supportive.

I cannot recommend Bright Horizons Moortown Day Nursery and Preschool enough. My child has a rare muscle-weakening condition which came on suddenly two months before he was set to start Bright Horizons, he was due to start in the pre-school room. His illness had a significant impact on his mobility.
Firstly,
in terms of the admin with a disability, the nursery was incredible. This was an incredibly overwhelming and new experience for us that came on without warning. They led the process of making sure his needs were met from forms, funding to practical adaptations. The nursery has also led the process of his EHCP form to get him ready for primary school.
In terms of my son's development, he is thriving at Bright Horizons and absolutely loves it. He loves all the staff and has made good, solid friends. He is included in everything and feels safe and happy. The nursery makes considerations and adaptations throughout the day to make sure my son is included in everything that the children are doing.

My two sons have attended this nursery for well over a year and they have loved every minute of it! They have made them both feel very comfortable and at home and there is such a friendly, loving atmosphere in all the rooms. Both my sons have progressed loads whilst attending Bright Horizons Moortown
Day Nursery and Preschool and made loads of friends which has helped bring them along socially! Also, the little Christmas events they put on were a real highlight for us over Christmas and again just helps to bring your little ones along socially as they belong to a little community. I 100% recommend!

I cannot recommend this nursery enough. Our eldest son went here from being 11 months old until he was 4 years old. We loved it so much that I enrolled our youngest son before he was even born. There was never any question that he would attend Bright Horizons Moortown Day Nursery and Preschool. The
staff are amazing and I really like the fact that they all seem happy to work there and have all been there for a really long time. The same staff are looking after our baby that looked after our eldest son. I think that says a lot about a nursery setting. All of the staff have been super supportive and my youngest has settled so well. I have been given so much support from his key worker in relation to sleeping and naps. They were also very supportive when my eldest was potty training. There isn't enough space here for me to tell you all the amazing things about this nursery. I honestly could not be happier and I know my little one looks forward to being there each day. My eldest also has very fond memories of his time here.

I absolutely love this nursery. Everything has been spot-on for us so far. The space for under 2-year-olds is very appropriately designed to allow my child to play under care and independently. I have tried Mondays to Wednesdays, the busiest days of the week, and it hasn’t felt crowded.
I love the
staff. The staff are very welcoming, smiling and attentive for under 2s. I always felt my child is in good hands when I drop him there. Through their app, I have been continuously informed about my child’s daily routines, weekly activities and bi-weekly progress reports. The manager has always responded to my requests promptly. I appreciate their high level of communication standards to keep parents in the loop.
Their food plan is so flexible. I appreciate the staff's effort to accommodate my child’s changing food requirements.
Other big selling points for us are: they allow us to change the dates a few months before and they use hyper-allergenic nappies.

From the moment I walked into the nursery and met the nursery manager I knew Bright Horizons was the right setting for my daughter.
My child has additional needs so it was so important to ensure the nursery was able to meet her needs and they did so incredibly well.
She has a fantastic key worker
and they bonded so well with my child which was so touching for us as she had only bonded with myself and her father at that point.
All the staff were so understanding and nurturing. They have put so much time and effort into understanding what was most important for my child in order to flourish. I would highly recommend this nursery.

My daughter was born during COVID and started Bright Horizons when she was 9 months old. We have had three happy years with the Moortown team and would highly recommend anyone who is considering the nursery for their child. We, as a family, had a wonderful relationship with the entire team. Each key
worker was extremely attentive and supportive of my daughter as she reached each milestone, whether it was providing support during her teething months, sleep training, or potty training. More importantly, my daughter loved attending the nursery, made some lovely friends, and looked forward to all the activities awaiting her each day! We can't thank all the staff enough.

Bright Horizons Moortown Day Nursery and Preschool is simply the best. My little one really settled in well and enjoyed her time so much there. The team is absolutely amazing, so loving and caring and so supportive. They have really helped my little one learn and grow.
She is now off to big school
but still keeps remembering her teachers in Preschool as well as her friends.

We highly recommend Bright Horizons. My child struggles with eczema and food allergies, and right from the beginning, when he was seven months old, the Bright Horizons family were attentive to his needs.
The managers are right there when you come in and easy to talk to. The app has been great for
keeping us up-to-date on daily activities, as well as rare emergencies like a recent power cut. We get development updates, as well as parents' evenings.
There's the benefit of longer hours (7.30 am-6.30 pm), meaning less stress with drop-off and pick-ups. Two hot meals a day also help.
Whilst the outside is small, there are a variety of activities.
During the heat waves, it was reassuring to feel the AC in the building too.
You can feel that the staff genuinely care and enjoy your kid's company. My child has learnt so much from being at this nursery, and we greatly appreciate all the staff who've been with him.

My daughter loves it here. They do a great job of making everything lots of fun while educating them too. It's a well-run, organised and professional setup. They communicate really well, letting us know what is happening, they'll be flexible where they can be and accommodate requests. Staff all seem
really happy and a lot of them have been there for a long time, unlike some other nurseries where we saw high turnover. I would really recommend. The only aspect below where I haven't given 5 stars is on outside space. There isn't much of it, but they do get the kids outside a lot and make the most of it!

My child has attended Bright horizons for five months so far. The staff are welcoming, friendly, well informed and highly attentive towards my child’s learning and development.
Without fail the staff always provide my wife and I a personalised update on our child’s day, whilst recognising and alleviating
any of our own concerns and natural parental anxieties.
The staff consistently show genuine interest, which is commendable and have been actively engaged in our child’s early years development so far.
I recognise the strict safeguarding procedures which are in place at the nursery which comforts us in the knowledge, our child is well protected in our absence.
The facilities are excellent and very secure with convenient access to the onsite gym.
I cannot fault this nursery and the exemplary care they provide.

Moortown, Bright Horizons has proven time and time again to be the perfect setting for our son. I can go to work with 100% confidence that he will be nurtured, challenged, inspired and surrounded by caring professionals each day. We are so happy with the progress our child is making at Bright Horizons, Moortown and only wish we had moved him here long before now. My daughter was enrolled at Bright Horizons for only 2 months, but she had a terrific time, she learned a lot of songs and felt immediately at home in both the Rising 3s and the Preschool group. She was very fond of the carers and played well with the other children. They always did fun activities and,
although my daughter is a picky eater, she always particularly enjoyed the meals! The organization was amazing, we were accommodated even when we had trouble getting to the UK in time for the planned starting date.

My son has been happy at Bright Horizons from being in the baby room and now into Rising 3s. We, as parents, along with my son, have always felt a good relationship with the staff in each room. They are welcoming when arriving and also very informative upon collecting my child at the end of the day.
My son has just successfully finished potty training and we felt very supported by the nursery. The management is well organised and extra days are booked well. I can't thank them enough

My name is Rachel Finan and I am the Manager at Bright Horizons Moortown.
I have worked here at Moortown since September 2019, however, I have previously worked for Bright Horizons before.
I am a qualified Early Years Teacher and have previous experience managing a Local Authority setting, as well as setting up a Private Day Nursery.
I have over 15 Years experience in Early Years, and I won the ‘Early Years Professional of the Year’ award in 2013 when previously working for Bright Horizons.
My passion for Early Years comes from watching the children we care for grow and develop in a quality and nurturing Early Years setting.
As a mother myself I understand the Importance of high quality provision. I truly love working with Children and Families; being able to share all the wonderful milestones children achieve on a daily basis!
