Your Co-op Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-school Dewsbury and their children love playing outside in their science garden, complete with a bug house, compost bins and space for growing plants and veg (don't worry, they'll clean them up before it's time for home!).

They are big on safety which is why ALL their staff are paediatric first aid trained. They also have 5 Little Pioneers who help share their core values with children, such as encouraging them to express their feelings and making a difference in the world.

They hold the Green Flag Status Award (the highest possible) in the prestigious Green Flag Eco-schools programme which is an internationally recognised award where children lead the way in making a difference to the environment.

Their ParentZone app keeps mums and dads informed about life at nursery and includes photos from their day, assessments, meals eaten and even toilet training progress!

They have three bright and spacious rooms; one room for younger children up to two-years-old, one room for two to three-year-olds and a final room for more active three to five-year-olds. All rooms have direct access to the outdoors allowing children to freely move between their rooms and the garden whenever they wish.

Our daughter has been attending this nursery since January 2025, and has thrived since day one. The staff are warm, welcoming and without a doubt - dedicated to their work and the children they work with. Our daughter has a rich and fulfilling curriculum which she has fun learning through, she loves
to show us her "work" and telling us about her day. The staff provide a safe, comfortable and supportive environment for the children in their care. The nursery is always clean, well kept and tidy. There is ample parking which makes drop offs and pick ups safe for all. I really like the emphasis on time outside, no matter the weather - it encourages resilience and the children are always having so much fun when we see them. The meals are varied and encourage the children to try lots of different foods, multiple opportunities for meals throughout the day. I cannot recommend this place enough - definitely consider this if you're looking for a nursery for your child. You will not regret it.

This nursery is outstanding!
We love everything about this nursery and it really does base itself in the heart of the community. Our child loves going to this nursery everyday and has made lots of strong friendships. The staff are great role models and clearly care about all of the children in their
care. The staff are experts in child development and have offered friendly advice on a range of areas from toileting to learning to read. When we collect our child the atmosphere is always calm and purposeful and we get given a very detailed handover of our child's day, what they have eaten and any highlights of our child's day.
All of the members of staff feel like friends and people we are comfortable to ask for advice if we need it.
I could not recommend this nursery enough, if you are looking for somewhere warm, welcoming and people who genuinely love your child, this is the place to go!

We're extremely happy with this nursery. The staff are fantastic, and my daughter loves coming here. She always speaks so highly of Amna and Laura, who have both been amazing with her. Since starting, we've seen such a positive difference in her confidence and development. The environment is warm, caring,
and supportive, and we feel completely at ease knowing she is so well looked after. We would highly recommend this nursery.

My daughter has been attending this nursery since she was 2, and she is absolutely thriving! She loves every minute spent here, and it's clear the staff genuinely care about her well-being and development. The curriculum is well-rounded, focusing on both educational and social/emotional growth. It's
thoughtfully structured, and information is easily accessible to parents. The activities are creative, engaging, and varied, with plenty of outdoor play and even trips into the community.
I especially appreciate the collaboration with my daughter's key worker, who works closely with me to set learning and social development goals, ensuring we can build on her progress at home. Despite a longer commute due to a job change, I wouldn't send my daughter anywhere else. We briefly tried a more local nursery, but it didn't compare-I came running back. The care, curriculum, and support here are second to none, and I'm so grateful for everything they do.

My child has been going to the nursery for over a year how and I can't recommend it enough! The staff are incredibly nurturing and attentive, creating a warm and welcoming environment for the children. My child has flourished since starting here, showing great enthusiasm for the activities offered.
The
curriculum is well-structured, focusing on both educational and social development. I love how they incorporate play-based learning, which keeps the little ones engaged and excited to learn. The facilities are clean and safe, with plenty of space for outdoor play, which is essential for young children.
Communication with parents is excellent, with regular updates on my child's progress and activities. It's reassuring to know that my child is in such capable hands. Overall, this nursery's has exceeded my expectations, and I feel confident that my child is receiving the best possible care and education.

My daughter has settled in so well to this nursery she joined the baby room in January 2024 at 5 months old and she has come on so much. Her key person has made me feel so welcome and the management is amazing, always there when you need them. Would recommend this nursery 100%.

My child enjoys attending nursery and has a good relationship with the staff. My child has good friendship groups and has lots of opportunities to develop her language skills. My child has a wide range of experiences to develop her fine motor skills. The staff at the nursery are kind, and caring and

I removed my son from this nursery last summer after receiving advice from another parent who did the same. Sorry to say the reviews and outdated Ofsted report are not an accurate representation of this nursery anymore. My son's development severely declined at this nursery and his behaviour got worse.
As a mum sometimes you just know something's not right with the setting.
The staff are overworked and flooded with paperwork and many have jumped ship.
The difference in my son's behaviour and development is incredible since he moved to another nursery, in fact, the negative referral for additional support written by Co-op nursery was disputed by his new nursery and then thrown by the council's SenCo officer. My son is thriving now, but with zero thanks to Co-op. They didn't even bother to respond to my final email giving notice and listing all the issues which proved they only cared about the money and never about my son.

Couldn’t ask for more from a nursery setting and the staff are amazing too.
Children always have a range of activities to do throughout the day and good food choices also.

Absolutely amazing nursery! My child started in January and they have helped him settle in well and he has learnt so much from playing with others to loads of new words. The staff are very friendly and approachable and if you have any questions or concerns at all then I know I can always ring in or
ask at pick up / collection. They even have a parents forum which has allowed me to be more involved and to have a say on the nursery.

My son started in March and the staff have been brilliant with him and helped him settle in. Since he started he has become a lot better with playtime. The app is brilliant as you can see pictures and see that they are ok.

My daughter is currently attending this nursery and so has my son in the past, this nursery is outstanding and meets every need of my child. The staff are such caring, loving and kind people who are always smiling and always ask us how we are doing. My daughter has settled in that nursery really well
and it's like a second home to her. Overall she is doing great in her development and the staff are always ready to help and give advice. We absolutely love the nursery and staff they do an amazing job.

This nursery has always gone above and beyond to ensure my child feels safe and happy and ensure that I, as a parent, feel confident that he is enjoying himself and well looked after. Staff are friendly, activities are tailored to my child's interests, there are lots of updates throughout the day via
the app and the children are provided with healthy and nutritious food. Assessments and observations are uploaded so I can see my child's progress and staff give detailed feedback at pick-up time each day. I would definitely recommend this nursery.
