Nuffy Bear Day Nursery Cottingley is a high-quality early years childcare provision based on the site of Nuffield Health’s Cottingley Fitness and Wellbeing gym. Babies from 3 months to 2 years, toddlers from 2 - 3 years and pre-schoolers from 3 - 5 years are all welcome to enjoy their first-rate facilities and stimulating environments, which provide fun and learning for inquisitive little minds.

The nursery benefits from enclosed outdoor garden, freshly prepared home cooked meals and snacks (special dietary requirement are always catered for), brand new resources, free swimming lessons, free all day parking for nursery parents who may commute to work and a free gym membership with every full-time place.

They accept standard free childcare (15 hours funding) and the extended 30 hours free childcare (funding).

Main Nursery hours 08:00 - 18:00, they operate an early drop off 07:00 - 08:00 service.

Fantastic nursery and staff. Couldn't ask for more. I always get the sense everyone loves working there and enjoys their time with the children. We've got two children there and have no regrets in our decision to send them in 5 days. Keep up the fantastic work everyone!!!!

We couldn't be happier with our experience at Nuffy Bear Nursery's Baby Room. The staff are simply fantastic, they are all kind, attentive, and genuinely passionate about supporting each child's development. From day one, they've gone above and beyond to make our daughter feel safe and engaged.
Her
confidence has blossomed, and we've seen real progress in her communication and social skills thanks to the thoughtful activities and gentle encouragement from the team. The environment is calm, clean, and full of age-appropriate resources that spark curiosity and joy.

The staff at Nuffy are everything you could hope for, warm, caring and invested in all the children. I really appreciate the whole team - they work so hard and it doesn't go unnoticed. Absolutely fantastic nursery, the first thing I noticed whilst having our induction was the sheer space and how clean everything is. They have all types of toys and activities for the babies/children to enjoy. The staff are so lovely and kind, amazing communication whilst my daughter is in their care.
Another great thing is they focus a lot of healthy nutritious meals. I am so glad I made the choice to send my daughter here.

We send both our 4-year-old and our 11-month-old sons to Nuffy Bear. The staff go out of their way to care and nurture them. They tell us stories each day about how the boys get on. I can't thank Nuffy Bear Day Nursery enough for everything they do for myself and my son who attends, the staff all go above and beyond for every child. My son loves attending the nursery, especially when I was so worried about him starting and being away from me as he has additional needs, they were
very understanding and listened to my concerns. I never expected the experience we have with the nursery, my worries and concerns went away after seeing my son settle in so well. I would highly recommend to everyone who is looking for a nursery to put their children in.

My son loves coming to Nuffy Bear Cottingley. The staff are absolutely fantastic with him and his needs. Nothing is too much trouble. At the start of his nursery days it was a worry (mum anxiety) how he would settle in. Thank goodness he had the loving care of the nursery staff who always reassured
me. I'm so happy he is taken care of in a nurturing way.

Excellent nursery.
Provided extra settling-in sessions when my daughter struggled.
Moved her up to the toddler room early when she clearly needed it, and she loves it.
Very flexible and accommodating, if possible, for extra ad-hoc sessions.
Sensible approach when a child is unwell.

I have worked in Early Years for the past 18 years. Growing up I always knew that I wanted to work with young people. So when I left school I knew exactly which path I wanted to take. I qualified as a Level 3 practitioner, I found work here in Cottingley and I've been here ever since. I have always been passionate about supporting babies and young children with their learning and developing, paying particular attention to patterns in behaviour and for what each child needs individually to thrive. I love watching the children in our care grow and being a part of that support network for their families.
18 years I have worked at Nuffy Bear previously known as Cottingley Manor and I have enjoyed every minute.
As I progressed through my career I knew that I wanted to share that knowledge I have gained during that time with other practitioners so that together we can achieve great outcomes for all children.
