Bright Horizons Millhouses Day Nursery and Preschool

We have two children at this nursery, in different rooms, and we are very happy with the care they receive and we would recommend Bright Horizons to other parents. It is reassuring to know that our children are safe and looked after when at nursery. The staff are caring and nurturing and the nursery as a whole feels like a supportive environment. Our children have really positive relationships with their key workers and also the wider nursery staff, all of whom are enthusiastic and kind and help the children to enjoy nursery. There is excellent communication between staff and parents, we feel we are kept in the loop regarding our childrens progress and what they get up to at nursery, we feel like we receive a personalised approach.

Larissa and the pre school team are always very welcoming, friendly, kind and caring. Noah loves nursery and we always trust that he is having a great day. No complaints only positive feedback to give.

Our daughter has been attending toddlers for around 9 months. I cannot fault the care, attention and expertise of the staff.

Our daughter loves the nursery and quickly settled in. All staff take a real interest in the children from their wellbeing, to development and ensuring they personalise the experience. Communication with parents ins excellent and we feel confident to contact the nursery with any concerns. Key workers are so supportive and work in partnership with parents. The nursery has far exceeded my expectations.

Our first child died as an infant and so we were really worried about sending our daughter to nursery but they have been so compassionate and caring. We quickly felt confident with our daughter in their care which we didn't expect. I can't fault them

Our son has been at Bright Horizons since he was one and we really love the nursery and preschool. We know he's well looked after and that all the staff keep him engaged in all sorts of different activities - he's learning so much there!

My daughter has been in the baby's room for nearly a year and is due to transition to toddlers shortly. The staff are kind, caring and supportive. The range of activities are excellent and has really developed my child's physical abilities and speech. We're vegetarian and her dietary requirements are fully catered for. Highly recommend.

All the staff have welcomed us and looked after our daughter so well. The facilities are always lovely and clean. We always get lots of lovely updates on what our daughter is doing whilst at nursery. The staff are top-notch!

Both my kids have attended Bright Horizons and they absolutely love it there. The key workers in each room go above and beyond for all children. They have so many activities to play with and the main attraction for me was the large outdoor space and how they have freedom to go outside all the time. My only issue comes to holidays and time off for children. All children and adults need holidays and when you still have to pay for the days at nursery, it becomes very expensive to go on holiday.

Both my boys have been at this nursery, one is now at school but I still have one in the baby room. I cannot fault the staff, so friendly and caring. I have loved watching both my boys develop and come on leaps and bounds at the nursery. The menu is varied and has good healthy food, they never seem to run out of activities to do - the way my son's face lights up as he gets to nursery says a lot.

The staff that look after my daughter are compassionate and caring. You can see the joy my daughter has when she goes to nursery and you can see how all the staff get to know each child. The progress my child has made since attending nursery in terms of confidence and being more social has really shown through.

My little girl loves coming to nursery, she smiles as soon as we arrive and gets so excited and has come along so well since attending here, all the staff are brilliant and really do care about each child.

I am really happy with the choice I have made to bring my son to this nursery, they have got a lot of experience, are very kind, very helpful. We started in the toddler room 2 years ago and we are in preschool now which is still amazing, I leave my son there as I know he is in good hands and well looked after! I have a child in the baby room and in the pre-school room and have been nothing but impressed by both. We relocated to Sheffield recently, so the prospect of nursery settling for both children, was causing me a lot of anxiety, but it needn’t have. All the staff are so professional, approachable and hardworking and my children are very happy. Highly recommend!

A supportive and nurturing nursery with a wealth of knowledge and experience. The staff are approachable with regular communication via a number of channels. The Manager and staff are committed to working together with parents and supporting in the development of the children.

Bright Horizons Millhouses is a brilliant nursery. The staff are excellent, they have a great rapport with both my children. The days are filled with an excellent variety of activities appropriate to the age and development of the child. Every child has a key person and co-key person who is your main point of contact and understands and can relay to parents what specifically they are working on with your child. I think this is great for all ages, especially at preschool and Bright Horizons do it very well. The building itself is bright and airy and has a lovely feel to it. The nursery has thorough policies and procedures in place so I'm 100% confident my children are safe whilst they are there. The food is excellent, healthy and tasty. They have dealt with Covid-19 restrictions very well and do their best to keep parents informed through these ever-changing times! The nursery is already very good and I think they're always looking at ways to improve. I highly recommend it.

A really lovely nursery, all the staff are very competent and friendly. There are so many varied activities to help with their development. My daughter loves it and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!

At first, I honestly thought it was a little expensive for the service you are receiving, it’s not too bad.

This is such a great nursery! After my kids went through two other nurseries and I was never especially happy with them, I can honestly say I have never had an issue or a niggle in the last year and a half my son has attended. The staff are always smiling and welcoming and give great feedback and detail about my son’s day. He loves all the activities on offer and the planned activities are obviously carefully thought through and linked to the children’s interests. My son adores his key worker and the other staff and has been happy to go in every single time, and he runs out full of enthusiasm at pick up. They have dealt amazingly with all the Covid craziness and I feel completely comfortable sending my son. I would highly recommend this nursery, especially if you have very high expectations (like me!). They go the extra mile to develop relationships and communicate well with their children’s families.
