Bright Horizons Tytherington Day Nursery and Preschool is located on Tytherington Business Park.

The team of enthusiastic childcare professionals were proud to achieve a 'Good' rating in its Ofsted inspection in September 2016.

There is a broad range of facilities, from access to fields for outdoor teaching and rugby training sessions, to fully-equipped sensory rooms and music sessions by trained instructors.

The large outdoor play area offers a variety of activities and challenges for children of all ages, including a mud kitchen and large construction equipment.

Children from three-months, through toddler times to pre-school will find this nursery a stimulating and reassuring environment.

The unique 'Ready for School' programme, which includes Growing Readers, Writers and Mathematicians, prepares the children for their transition to school. The fees include all meals and snacks, nappies, nappy cream, bottles and baby formula.

As a parent, nothing is more important than knowing your child is safe, cared for, and treated with kindness. Sadly, our experience with this nursery has left us feeling heartbroken and deeply let down.


My little boy was left in a soiled pants for hours, which caused him a sore, red bottom and legs.

He was clearly uncomfortable and distressed, and no one took the basic step of changing him. It's incredibly painful as a parent to realise that your child's most essential needs were ignored.


When I brought up my concerns in a meeting, instead of being met with understanding or even an apology, I was told my reaction was inappropriate. I was even accused of bullying staff - when all I did was speak up for my son. No parent should be made to feel guilty for protecting their child.


We trusted this nursery with our son's wellbeing, and that trust was broken. I would never want another parent or child to go through what we did.

I'm extremely disappointed and heartbroken with the level of care my child received at this nursery. My four-year-old son was neglected and left in a soiled pants for hours, resulting in a severely sore bottom and legs. It is unacceptable that basic care like regular toilet visits was ignored.


When

we raised this serious issue in a meeting, instead of acknowledging the failure in duty of care, the staff shifted the blame and accused us of overreacting and even bullying their staff - an unfair and upsetting response to a genuine parental concern.


A nursery should be a safe, caring environment where children are treated with dignity and their basic needs met-this was clearly not the case here. I would not recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a trustworthy, compassionate setting for their child. I am in the process of escalating this with Ofsted by providing them with all the evidence we have collected and documented.

Bright Horizons has been a wonderful place for our son to start his education journey. I feel so relaxed knowing he is in good, caring hands and the way he hugs his key workers shows me what a bond they've built with him. The daily app updates are also so useful and reassuring. Our son seems to really enjoy his time in nursery. He has built positive relationships with the staff (including the chef!). We really enjoy seeing the picture updates once leaving about what he's doing day to day. We've noticed that our son has been picking up loads of skills and has developed his
vocabulary. This is complementing well with what we are doing at home.

Bright Horizons is just the most lovely, nurturing nursery. The staff are so caring and my little girl loves each and everyone. She settled in very quickly.
The activities are varied and engaging and the food is well balanced and seems a step above other nurseries.
One member of staff, in particular,
is just fantastic and integral to the nursery room's efficiency and family.

We cannot recommend this nursery highly enough, in simple terms, they are just amazing!
Our son has been attending for a while now and we've been consistently impressed by the care and dedication shown by the entire team. From day one, the setting has felt welcoming and homely and it's clear that
the staff genuinely care about the children.
A special mention must go to the toddler room team who have worked tirelessly to nurture my son's love for learning, especially his interest in numbers and a kids' number TV programme. The team's creativity, patience and enthusiasm have made a big impact on his development and happiness.
Even after the unexpected closure of another location, the transition to this nursery was handled seamlessly, ensuring that my son continued to thrive without disruption.
Thank you to everyone for making my son's time at the nursery so memorable and positive. We'll always look back fondly on this chapter of his early years.

Watching my little girl happily leave my arms as she goes to a member of staff at Bright Horizons is a joy to watch. Since being at nursery she has become more confident and is learning so many new skills and seems to learn a new word every day. The staff ensure there is lots of messy and outdoor play

We were very nervous to start our baby at 6 months of age, however nearly 3 months in we can say it was the best decision we made. Our child is thriving daily and we feel this is related to his experiences at nursery. The staff/key workers/managers are all happy to have a chat with us at the start and

Our twins started at Bright Horizons Tytherington in Dec-2023 and we're so glad that we made the choice. It's evident how confident and comfortable they have been since they first started. The activities on offer to them are constantly being updated and they're both really seeming to excel- albeit it
does result in a lot of laundry! The app updates during the day are detailed and really reassuring- it's so lovely when the daily photos come through. The staff have been consistently professional and welcoming, and always happy to help with the logistics of juggling two babies!

My daughter loves going to nursery and has excelled since being there. I can go to work knowing she is being looked after by competent, caring people who genuinely are invested in her. They know her almost as well as I do. Such a great nursery with wonderful staff.

I cannot recommend Bright Horizons enough. The piece of mind for me that our little one is being looked after by kind, professional and nurturing staff is invaluable (not to mention frequent app updates to keep involved with what they're doing each day). They really have helped to support not only our
little one through their development, encouraging them to come out of their shell and celebrate their personality, but myself and my other half through this big life change.

I have been working in childcare for 19 years, starting with the company in 1998. I joined as a Nursery Nurse and over time worked hard and became a Room Leader, shortly afterwards stepping into the deputy role, before moving on to be a Nursery Manager. I have been a Nursery Manager for 14 years and thoroughly enjoy my job role. I enjoy working as part of a team and inspiring my staff team. Looking after so many different families and over time becoming one big family. I love watching the children grow and develop and achieve their full potential and the journey that they make to prepare them for school. It is a very rewarding job and I feel I am always learning, each day brings something different.
