Bright Horizons Tytherington Day Nursery and Preschool

She has made the transition to go into nursery a very easy process for us.

As a parent, nothing is more important than knowing your child is safe, cared for, and treated with kindness. Sadly, our experience with this nursery has left us feeling heartbroken and deeply let down.

My little boy was left in a soiled pants for hours, which caused him a sore, red bottom and legs. He was clearly uncomfortable and distressed, and no one took the basic step of changing him. It's incredibly painful as a parent to realise that your child's most essential needs were ignored.

When I brought up my concerns in a meeting, instead of being met with understanding or even an apology, I was told my reaction was inappropriate. I was even accused of bullying staff - when all I did was speak up for my son. No parent should be made to feel guilty for protecting their child.

We trusted this nursery with our son's wellbeing, and that trust was broken. I would never want another parent or child to go through what we did.

I'm extremely disappointed and heartbroken with the level of care my child received at this nursery. My four-year-old son was neglected and left in a soiled pants for hours, resulting in a severely sore bottom and legs. It is unacceptable that basic care like regular toilet visits was ignored.

When we raised this serious issue in a meeting, instead of acknowledging the failure in duty of care, the staff shifted the blame and accused us of overreacting and even bullying their staff - an unfair and upsetting response to a genuine parental concern.

A nursery should be a safe, caring environment where children are treated with dignity and their basic needs met-this was clearly not the case here. I would not recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a trustworthy, compassionate setting for their child. I am in the process of escalating this with Ofsted by providing them with all the evidence we have collected and documented.

Bright Horizons has been a wonderful place for our son to start his education journey. I feel so relaxed knowing he is in good, caring hands and the way he hugs his key workers shows me what a bond they've built with him. The daily app updates are also so useful and reassuring. Every staff member is super welcoming and approachable.

All round a great nursery with caring and attentative staff.

We've been so pleased with Bright Horizons. The team put us at ease from the start & the key worker for our daughter is amazing. Our daughter clearly feels very safe & bonded with her.

Lovely open day, lots of zoo animals on show. Staff are very friendly and helpful. So far Oakley has gained lots of skills and his development has massively improved. Great nursery, would highly recommend!

Bright Horizons Tytherington has been an amazing place for my daughter. She has developed so much and all the staff go above + beyond to help continue her development. Watching my little girl happily leave my arms as she goes to a member of staff at Bright Horizons is a joy to watch. Since being at nursery she has become more confident and is learning so many new skills and seems to learn a new word every day. The staff ensure there is lots of messy and outdoor play which my little girl loves to do. I cannot recommend Bright Horizons enough. Amazing staff and a lovely nursery.

The leader of the baby room and her team have been absolutely fantastic in helping my son start his nursery journey. The team are very friendly, professional, attentive, and supportive, tailoring their style and care to the needs of each parent/child. Thank you so much.

We were very nervous to start our baby at 6 months of age, however nearly 3 months in we can say it was the best decision we made. Our child is thriving daily and we feel this is related to his experiences at nursery. The staff/key workers/managers are all happy to have a chat with us at the start and the end of the day. We are really happy and we know our child is too. The updates on the app keep our minds at peace. Wonderful place.

We get timely updates from the team through the app which always puts us at ease. The post they create gives us an insight into what he's been doing during the day which is excellent. We would definitely recommend Bright Horizons Tytherington!

Our twins started at Bright Horizons Tytherington in Dec-2023 and we're so glad that we made the choice. It's evident how confident and comfortable they have been since they first started. The activities on offer to them are constantly being updated and they're both really seeming to excel- albeit it does result in a lot of laundry! The app updates during the day are detailed and really reassuring- it's so lovely when the daily photos come through. The staff have been consistently professional and welcoming, and always happy to help with the logistics of juggling two babies!

My daughter loves going to nursery and has excelled since being there. I can go to work knowing she is being looked after by competent, caring people who genuinely are invested in her. They know her almost as well as I do. Such a great nursery with wonderful staff.

My child is thriving there.
