A welcoming and enriching nursery in Countess of Chester Hospital.

Set in the grounds of Countess of Chester Hospital, making the nursery ideal for hospital staff and local residents, Countess of Chester Day Nursery and Preschool is located on Liverpool Road. The nursery cares for children from three months to five years.

The nursery has three separate areas including babies, toddlers and a large preschool and boasts a large outdoor area that is accessible from all rooms to encourage a free flow environment.

The Preschool room has an additional separate garden for the older ones to explore and enjoy with more freedom.

The well-qualified team of highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced staff work together to provide a well-balanced programme of fun activities and learning experiences, within a carefully planned curriculum with Bright Horizons unique Ready for School programme. The nursery fosters an enjoyment of early literacy and maths, with Growing Readers, Writers and Mathematicians Enhancements helping children to recognise letters, words and numbers in their environment.

My little girl has been at Bright Horizons in Chester for 6 months and she loves it! She has a big smile on her face each morning and embraces her key worker. She is so comfortable and happy to go to the nursery staff. I have been really pleased with the number of special days and events at nursery
and love receiving pictures of my daughter smiling away doing a range of activities (baking, painting, sensory). We love Bright Horizons and look forward to sharing many fun times with them over the next few years.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to the staff and management at Bright Horizons day nursery. My son has settled in really well and in such a short space of time! He's really taken to two of the ladies.

A fantastic nursery, amazing staff who care about the children in their care.
Lovely home-cooked food, very clean and safe setting, with a variety of toys and tasks to keep children entertained and develop their skills.
Excellent communication I can honestly say I feel very reassured leaving my child

The nursery staff were very welcoming and gave my daughter the time for settling in. The nursery was very clean and my daughter enjoyed the food immensely. The activities on offer were age and stage appropriate with the staff being fully engaged making it a fun and educational environment.

Chester Day Nursery is fantastic thanks to the care, attention and enthusiasm shown by all the staff.
They all clearly have the children's enjoyment/safety/development at the heart of all they do.

My daughter has been attending Bright Horizons for 10 months. She has settled in really well with the help of the staff. I have felt the staff have a very caring approach to the children and provide them with a lot of reassurance if it is needed. I am really pleased with my daughter's progression and

My daughter and I are always met politely and professionally - the staff seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs and spending time with the children. I like the range of activities that they do, particularly singing and storytime. Having a dress up character means that she understands different characters,
rather than just putting on lots of clothes. Improvements: keep parents informed of financial changes - if there is a problem speak to us rather than putting it in a letter. Don't say what she has done verbatim - please talk to us, we can read! More slides, swings and obstacle equipment.

Our oldest used the nursery, we chose here for our daughter who just left . I was always happy with the care and felt welcomed, its very clean and children/staff look happy, mine seemed to do lots of fun things and experience lots. We were invited to tea parties or breakfast as a special event. Both
went to school easily, confident and capable. The menus are really good and there's evidence that they won awards for their menus and for health/safety. They seem to do a lot to prevent accidents and if my children were poorly I was kept up to date and given time to collect them. Some staff have been there years and some are new yet all seem motivated, professional and well trained. The rooms are bright. lots of information sent via email. I liked the nursery from day 1 and my wife as an ex-nursery nurse was impressed by the organisation and calmness when you walk in, The best for us was everything is there...nappies, milk, nappy cream etc so easy when your working.

My daughter has been at the nursery for nearly 4 years, only leaving to start school and I have been so pleased with it, my son now goes as well. The staff are amazing and the way they have helped my children to develop has been worth every penny. The staff are welcoming, friendly and aim to help in
any way they can. The management team have been amazing during difficult personal circumstances. I would happily recommend it to anyone.

My son had an unforgettable time in nursery. He had lots of favourite teachers who love and look after him very well. He also learned lots of things. Teaching was very good. We can clearly see the benefits of being at nursery when he goes to school. Thank you very much everyone at Countess Nursery.

I have been a parent for 9 years, having both my children attend the nursery. I instantly went back here with my second child and use their holiday club with my eldest. The staff are loving, calm and professional. I find all the staff have a certain maturity about them and 100% would recommend the nursery
to friends and family, I believe and know some staff have been there 20 years or more. The huge garden, bright rooms and amazing menu all go towards this being an amazing nursery.

I would recommend this nursery 100% My daughter has been attending since December 2015 and she thoroughly enjoys her time there. I find the staff to be very skilled and professional. They are committed to enabling the children to learn through activity and fun. I am always impressed by the care, attention
and interest the staff display. I genuinely think that the staff know my daughter well and respond to her individually. The nursery is a happy place for everyone.

My child has been at this nursery since he was 11 months old. He is extremely settled and happy here. The nursery was recommended by colleagues and we truly could not be happier with both the care he has received and the help and support that we have had as first time parents. The meals are fantastic
with a vast menu which has even given me ideas for home. My little boy is known well by all staff not just his keyworker making it easy to talk to anyone about him. There are also ample opportunities to discuss his progress at one to one sessions. My newest baby is due to start at the same nursery next year and i will have no worries when that time comes.

The nursery have looked after all 4 of my children while I am working. The love and care the staff have shown over the last 8 years and most recently with my youngest has been amazing. My daughter adores her time in nursery and I collect her happily exhausted knowing she was given the best care. There
is something about the way the key workers bond with their children that makes this nursery extra special!

Starting with a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management, I earned an Outstanding Ofsted rating and helped improve ratings in various settings. Upon relocating to Wales for family, I became a Nursery Operations Manager overseeing two sites, earning a nomination for Nursery Manager of the Year.
