A welcoming and enriching nursery in Countess of Chester Hospital.

Set in the grounds of Countess of Chester Hospital, making the nursery ideal for hospital staff and local residents, Countess of Chester Day Nursery and Preschool is located on Liverpool Road. The nursery cares for children from three months to five years.

The nursery has three separate areas including babies, toddlers and a large preschool and boasts a large outdoor area that is accessible from all rooms to encourage a free flow environment.

The Preschool room has an additional separate garden for the older ones to explore and enjoy with more freedom.

The well-qualified team of highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced staff work together to provide a well-balanced programme of fun activities and learning experiences, within a carefully planned curriculum with Bright Horizons unique Ready for School programme. The nursery fosters an enjoyment of early literacy and maths, with Growing Readers, Writers and Mathematicians Enhancements helping children to recognise letters, words and numbers in their environment.

The whole team is very good. A huge thanks to staff, one member of staff, in particular, is wonderful in taking care of the children in the nursery, very patient and lovable. My daughter loves to go to the nursery as she feels it's a very friendly atmosphere there.

My third child is currently at the nursery and I wouldn't have sent her anywhere else as my older two were so well looked after there.
The staff are great and take an interest in my daughter and her likes/dislikes. The food is varied and fresh and I'm really impressed with the activities on offer and
the constant new things. My daughter started at 7 months old and I was worried she was too young but the staff put us at ease and supported her to settle in. Love it there, would recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic manager, very knowledgeable and professional. Friendly professional staff that provide great learning and fun. Children have flourished over the past couple of months. Great setting and resources. Location is good for commuting.

Lovely staff, very enthusiastic and kind. The only reason this isn't a five-star review, is due to staffing numbers. There seemed to be a shortage of staff at the start of the year, resulting in parents being asked if children could be kept at home every now and then, but this seems to have been sorted
and I have no further complaints. My son loves preschool and I feel well-informed of his development and learning.

Staff are kind and friendly, always happy to answer questions and are supportive of the children. My little boy settled in well and is always happy to go into nursery. The nursery day is structured well and keeps my little boy entertained. The menu is varied and my little boy always tries all the food.
Lots of opportunities to play outside. You are kept up to date via the app and can also telephone/email with quick responses from the management. I'm happy with the nursery and would recommend to others.

I'm pleased with the care my child gets at the nursery and it has been a good experience to see him grow up there. The food is good. I like the simulation my little one gets there and the activities he's involved in. I'm happy with the app, that keeps me updated.

The nursery staff are very friendly and very close to the kids. Our daughter adores them all. We like the fact that the kids spend as much time as possible in the outside garden. Food is made at the nursery, which is a plus, but we think the variety of meals could be a little bit better.

Our daughter has been attending Bright Horizons Chester since she was 7 months old (Dec 2018) and she settled really well and loves it here. The staff are all amazing and so caring and kind. Her communication has come on leaps and bounds and I love hearing about her day at pick-up time. It’s a happy,

I had to get back to work when my son was four months old. It was very difficult to leave my loved one at such a young age. By day one I knew he was in the right place. The level of care and love he received were excellent. It was not only my son but I noticed that all the children being dropped off
were very happy children - they just loved going to the nursery!

My daughter who is now in preschool.. has had the best time in this nursery. I think from 11months old, all the management and lovely teachers, have become like family to us both.. as I’m a single parent I know I can put my trust in the staff and feel like they're very close to us, my child skips to
nursery each time and hugs all the members of staff. We would be lost without them... so professional, kind caring, love them all we do.

Bright Horizons Chester has the most amazing team. My son constantly talks about everyone including the chief. During the pandemic I have felt very secure taking my son there allowing me to go to work with ease. I have been reassured every step of the way. I can not thank them enough. I recommend this
nursery to whom ever I know who may be looking for child care.
I feel very sad at the thought of my son leaving for school I will miss taking him.

It has been a pleasant experience to send my daughter to Bright Horizons Nursery. She is looked after well and she comes home happy and healthy. I have noticed a lot of improvement in her learning and communication since she has started the nursery. The staff is very loving and caring and she had no

Cannot praise the staff here enough, my little boy has come on leaps and bounds since joining in September. The report card and photos he comes home with each week brighten's up my day. He enjoys activities and crafts that we wouldn't necessarily do at home, which you can see in the photos he thoroughly
enjoys. I always receive updates immediately whenever I email throughout the day; they are always honest and reassuring.

Starting with a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management, I earned an Outstanding Ofsted rating and helped improve ratings in various settings. Upon relocating to Wales for family, I became a Nursery Operations Manager overseeing two sites, earning a nomination for Nursery Manager of the Year.
