Bright Horizons Clairmont Nursery (formerly kidsunlimited) is conveniently located in Wilmslow. Part of the Bright Horizons portfolio, the nursery is a well-established nursery and opened over 30 years ago.

The nursery offers a flexible service to parents of children aged five and below, in a pleasant and secure facility containing a wide range of games and age-specific equipment to help children develop their early learning skills.

There are six well-resourced rooms to encourage children’s development and a dedicated baby nursery located in a separate unit, supporting the transition from home to nursery.

The nursery has a large secure outdoor garden space with a nature trail, and offers weekly Tune for Tots, Ministry 4 sport, pyjama drama, Spanish lessons and a trained Forest School leader takes the children on a six-week Forest School outdoor course which the children love!

Staff qualifications range from Early Years teaches and Staff with Early Childhood study degrees.

Staff have specific training accreditation with S.E.N – Special Educational Needs. To help those children that require a little extra assistance.

Baby room staff have additional and specific baby room training.

Parents breakfast bar from 07:30 – 10:00. 16:00 - 18:00 for parents to grab a hot drink & snack to go!

The nutritionally-balanced menu is produced onsite and the nursery holds a 5* Kitchen Food Hygiene rating. Fees include all meals and snacks, nappies, nappy cream, bottles and baby formula.

The nursery always looks lovely. The staff are very friendly, caring and helpful. The management team are always happy to help. My son's development came on leaps and bounds since starting at Clairmont Day Nursery and Preschool and I would highly recommend the nursery to others.

My nephew attended the summer learning fun club and had a wonderful time. He especially enjoyed the growing artist program and talked about what he had done when he got home at the end of the day. The nursery was very welcoming and the staff were all very friendly. Very lovely setting will definitely
be returning for half term holiday in October.

Overall a decent nursery however showing signs of decline;My son joined the baby 1 unit 14 months ago and the ladies in the room were fantastic, really attentive and I felt comfortable for 4 days a week knowing that they really cared and connected with my boy. The transition to Baby 2 room was handled
well and the staff were nice however there were many staff changes. My son had been in the baby room 2 for 7 months and despite my requests to see his development story, I have never received it. My son has just transitioned to Toddler 1, which was handled poorly in terms of the amount of times he visited and the timing of the transition. I can only assume that these declines are a result of poor management/direction with the staff and a lack of focus on learning/development which is why I've marked these points low. Its a shame that I've encountered these issues - with a few tweaks then I'm sure the rating would be far better as there are lots of good points about the nursery.

My son (4.5) and daughter (2.5) attend Clairmont Nursery and both are very happy and confident.


The nursery is well maintained and the staff are friendly and approachable and care for every child who attends the nursery.


The outdoor space is excellent at the nursery which has 2 gardens.

Great bunch of people. My son always happy to be left and is now a struggle to take home at the end of the day. Eats all his food so it must taste good. They always go the extra mile with creative pictures/paints.

Always friendly and professional. Made it easier for me to return to work part time as I felt my son's individual needs and well being were accounted for to a high standard. Lots of different activities and outside play. The staff consistency is high meaning they get to know all the children really

My 3 year old son has been at the nursery since May 2015 and my daughter has just started in the baby unit. Both settled really quickly and happily. The rooms are spacious and fully equipped with all the appropriate toys, plus the outdoor areas are fantastic. The staff are absolutely brilliant: really
attentive, enthusiastic and open to suggestions/feedback. The mangers have also been really helpful and accommodating when I've needed extra adhoc sessions, which has been a life-saver. I would definitely recommend to others.

Allergies looked after really well.
Really impressed with the ratio of male:female staff at the nursery.
Great attention, care and enthusiasm from every person who looks after my child. Managers are very willing and have an "open door" any time I have needed to discuss anything.

My daughter has attend the nursery since she was 18mnths old and is now in Preschool at Clairmont. It is a daunting prospect putting your child into the care of others but I haven't looked back since she started.
All of the staff have been excellent caring for her and she surprises me everyday with
what she has learnt. She loves seeing her friends, painting, drawing, and singing in the music class. Some days I think she would rather be at nursery full time than spend it at home with me!


The nursery setting is within a Victorian house with the baby unit in a separate building to the older children. The different aged rooms are good sizes with different learning areas within each room. The outdoor space is excellent with 2 gardens for the different ages of children.
The quality of food that is served is excellent so much so my daughter often eats seconds and thirds of her meals!


The nursery are always open to new ideas and they have lots of exciting activities planned for the next year to enhance the children's time at Clairmont.

The nursery is fantastic. We have had our children in 3 nurseries in the Manchester or Cheshire area and this is by far and away the best. We are extremely comfortable with our children in this nursery and they offer a brilliant, flexible service.

Clairmont is a fabulous nursery. We have been so happy with our choice and our daughter has been there for over a year now. I loved Clairmont from the moment I first visited. I'd viewed nurseries before, but this one immediately felt homely. In fact it was once a home. It also has great outside spaces and they even have a rabbit.
The staff are wonderful. I felt dread each time my son moved up a class, as I got to know
them all so well. But each time I wasn't disappointed. He settled in beautifully each time he moved and loves it.
I would recommend Clairmont to anyone.

We are very happy with our choice of nursery. Our daughter attends full time and enjoys her time at Clairmont. She is proud to show us her work at the end of the day and she is coming on incredibly well. She starts school next year and the staff are preparing her for this teaching numbers and letters
during fun activities. She gets to play in the lovely gardens and help look after the pet rabbit. The staff are very friendly and give thorough handovers to let you know what has happened throughout the day. I highly recommend the nursery.

After visiting most of the nurseries in the area, and my little boy hating every one of them, we walked into this one and it was an instant calm, relaxing and controlled area, with lovely helpful staff and very happy babies.


After being worried sick that my little boy would never be happy when

I leave him, he now cries when I pick him up after his day at nursery. It is safe to say that he absolutely loves it. This has made the transition of going back to work very easy, knowing that he is cared for by highly trained, lovely staff, and that he loves being there.

Holding a Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education and a Level 5 in Team Management, Ang is deeply committed to creating a warm, supportive environment where every child feels safe and valued.

Job Title: Deputy Manager (Maternity cover) Joined: 2014

Kirsty began her journey with Bright Horizons in 2014 as part of the bank team while studying at university. After graduating with a Level 6 qualification in Early Childhood Studies, she joined the team as a full-time Nursery Nurse in the Rising 3’s room.


Shortly after, Kirsty moved to the Baby Unit, where she progressed through roles including Deputy Room Leader, Room Leader, and Third in Charge.


Kirsty is passionate about working alongside families to build secure attachments and strong parent partnerships, ensuring every child receives the very best start in their early years.
