Partou Park Wood Day Nursery & Forest School in Bidston provides exceptional care for babies and children up to the age of five.

Located on the edge of the natural woodland environment of Bidston Hill Country Park, the nursery embraces its surroundings with exciting outdoor areas including obstacle courses, sensory gardens, planting patches and its very own nursery beehive! Children love taking part in the settings Forest School sessions with pretend campfires, gardening sessions and environmental exploration proving huge favourites.

Children at the nursery play and learn in spacious and well-resourced playrooms filled with natural light as well as having access to an amazing woodland-themed soft playroom! Parents can keep track of their child’s activities and development using the nursery’s online learning journal.

Delicious, nutritious meals and snacks are freshly prepared in the nursery kitchen, providing children with a balanced diet bursting with fresh vegetables, fruit, meat and fish.

I had a fabulous experience with Park Wood day nursery, my 2 year old little boy used to run into nursery every single day so happy, he never used to cry, with working full time it was so nice going to work knowing my baby was so happy at nursery, the manager and
staff were absolutely brilliant, I
would highly recommend this nursery.

I would 100% recommend Park Wood Day Nursery.
Both my daughters went to Park Wood from 10mths old to pre school .
I could not fault them and felt totally comfortable and confident leaving my precious girls with them .
What I liked about Park Wood compared to other nurseries is how the children
and their needs really did come first .
Nursery was always clean, well organised and you could see that the staff were happy as I only ever met new members of staff as the business had grown not from staff leaving.
It was a home from home for my girls and they both were so sad to leave .
The owner and manger always made me feel like nothing was a problem and understood not just my child's needs but also my needs as a parent on keeping me always up dated on what they had done through out the day , what they ate, what they played with what they liked and didn't like .
If you want a real personal touch and home from home for your child then Park Wood is the nursery for you x

Without a doubt, THE best nursery on the Wirral. My son came home teaching ME sign language and French! He's only 4! He loved his time there, staff are amazing, caring and nurturing. They are extremely accommodating, which as a mother with 2 kids, a business to run and a husband only home at weekends
was a godsend x

Hello, I’m Mel Fitzpatrick and I am the Nursery Manager here at Park Wood.


I have a Level 3 Qualification in Childcare and have worked with children for 10 years now, beginning as a newly qualified practitioner and working my way up to my current position.


I love to see the impact that I can have on the children’s development; and I pride myself upon the strong relationships that I have built with families over the years.


The team here at Park Wood are dedicated and passionate, always striving to provide the best care for our children. We are a family here at Park Wood, and work to ensure that all children, parents and carers feel part of that too.
