Eldonians Day Nursery, Liverpool, is a purpose-built facility easy for parents to reach from the city centre and organise a convenient timetable that is beneficial to themselves and their children.

A number of external play areas are available to children, as well as a wide range of games and group activities that are shown to be effective in developing personal skills.

The team of enthusiastic early years professionals plays a key part in creating a stimulating environment for children to play, learn and discover the world around them. The team was proud to achieve an 'Outstanding' rating by Ofsted in October 2022.

Pleasant staff. My daughter has only recently started here and has settled in wonderfully and been made to feel very welcome which is everything you can ask for as a parent.

Outstanding care and facilities. Staff all do an amazing job. Children settled in really well and staff are always there to help with all needs. Couldn't praise them enough for what they do.

Amazing nursery with really lovely staff!! My daughter really loves the nursery and all her friends. I am really happy with my daughter's development. She wouldn't be the cheeky, confident, clever little lady she is today without the help of everyone at Bright Horizons Eldonians Day Nursery and Preschool.

Really enjoys being at nursery. The nursery has helped a lot with speech and understanding, potty training etc. All the staff are great and have a lot of time for parents.


The food is great for the kids, maybe not so many desserts. Always clean and tidy and always lots of activities for the kids.

Leaving my son in the care of Eldonians Day Nursery staff was one of the best decisions we ever made. My son absolutely adores being there daily and has strong connections with the staff. When you work full-time and rely on the nursery to look after your child every day, it makes working so much easier.
My son is developing amazingly well and the staff do so many activities.

I live locally to the nursery and it is well known in the area for being very good. When I went to look around, the thing that stood out to me the most was the staff. They are all so friendly and caring. My daughter has been going to the nursery for nearly a year now and she loves it. She has an amazing
bond with her key person and nothing is ever too much. I have had progress meetings with her key person and I’m amazed by how much she has learnt and come on since she’s been there. I honestly can’t thank the nursery enough it definitely lives up to its reputation.

This nursery was recommended to me by a friend so I went along to look. I was so nervous about leaving my daughter but once I had been and spoken to the staff here I instantly felt at ease.
A lot of the staff have worked at the nursery for many years and you can see they love working with children.
The management team are very approachable and know all of the children individually which I loved. When I collect my daughter and I get to see all of the things she has done that day I am amazed!

As soon as you walk in you can feel the relaxed, friendly atmosphere that we think our daughter reacted so well too and she didn't have any problems settling in. Then we pick her up she is always happy and full of beans, which shows us what a good day she has had with her friends and teachers.

is too much trouble for all staff members, our daughter is developing very well and we couldn't be more happy with this nursery.

I never wanted to put my little boy into a nursery but having to work and with another baby, on the way, I started looking into it. After visiting the nursery, I was so happy with everything, I knew it would be here I would want him to be. He only attends one day and the progress he has come on is amazing,
best choice I could have made... everything about the nursery from facilities, food and staff are all outstanding. Nothing is ever too much and they always keep you updated about your child's progress ...I would recommend the nursery 100%.

My little girl has been in this nursery since September 2014 when she was 9 months old. I knew this nursery was the one for her as soon as I stepped into it. Each room; baby, toddler, and preschool have their own garden which allows the children to spend a good amount of time outdoors which my little
girl loves (unlike other nurseries that have to share a garden so are only out at allocated times).


The staff have always been diligent, approachable and keep you informed on your children's progress.


I would highly recommend this nursery if you are looking for nurseries for your little one.

Both of my children have been coming to this nursery for more than a year now, 4 years for the eldest and I can't fault it. From the staff to the activities, the communication and the care of the children, everything has been great. The children have enjoyed every minute.

I have 2 children attending the nursery and they thoroughly enjoy it. The staff at the nursery take the time to get to know the kids, their likes and dislikes and base activities around this. I feel like the staff couldn't do enough.

My son has autism and we were told the chances of him speaking were slim to none but the manager and her staff have changed our lives completely. They have gone above and beyond, been patient, kind and so caring. He's reaching all of his milestones and targets and I know I have the staff to thank for
everything. My son is not the same boy now that started here 2 years ago. He has come on leaps and bounds because the staff stick with the curriculum and go further than they have to. I trust all of the staff with my child completely because I know they care very deeply about him. My son is starting reception in September and although I am excited to see him grow, I am utterly devastated to say goodbye to the nursery and it's staff because they have made such an impact on our lives. I would 100% recommend Bright Horizons Eldonian and urge anybody who is looking for a nursery to at least take a trip there and meet all of the staff, I guarantee you would not regret it.

Hello, I have been at Eldonians since 2010. I have NVQ L3 and leadership and management L3. I am also the safeguarding officer for the nursery.


I started within the company at Kidsunlimited Broadgreen Nursery as a nursery nurse and worked my way through the ranks. I also supported lots of other nurseries in Liverpool whilst joining a task and finishing the group with Liverpool city council who would go around different nurseries to support with training, planning or enabling environments. I then came to Eldonians and took the nursery through three Ofsted inspections and received a good outcome on two occasions the most recent an outstanding which I am extremely proud of.
