Our son has been at Hazel Tree for almost a year now (since he turned 1) and is very happy. The staff are wonderful and provide honest feedback on his progress and behaviour. We've noticed the difference at home too, he is now very happy to help tidy up his toys, learn new things and make new friends.

We have two children at Hazel Tree, one in Pre School and one in Class 2, and both children are very happy and settled there. They both love attending and we have never had any issues dropping them off, quite the opposite as they often run in looking forward to their day. I can honestly say that Hazel Tree is outstanding with the care and education of the children. Staff are excellent, nothing is too much and they are always happy to discuss your child's development or any queries you may have. They genuinely care about the children and design activities around their interests, which is wonderful and adds to the growing interest of children (especially in pre-school). Management are always available to chat and the facilities that have been provided since it changed to Montessori are fabulous. The new outdoor area is wonderful and the children absolutely love it. We cannot fault it.

Our children have only recently started here at the nursery and we honestly could not be happier. The transition period was excellent, enabling our children to have plenty of time to familiarise themselves with the new environment, staff and other children.

My children are happy here, they are learning new skills all the time and we are delighted. I would highly recommend Hazel Tree Montessori to others.

Such an amazing nursery, great all round. The staff are so lovely and make sure your little one is looked after to the highest standards. The space indoors and outdoors are a great environment for little ones to learn and grow and my son has definitely done just that! Thank you for all your hard work -every member of staff we appreciate you!

My son has been going to Hazel Tree Montessori since he was 11-months old and he loves it there. The staff are friendly and kind, and my son settled well at the nursery making new friends. I love how the children get to play outside every day, regardless of the weather. There are lots of fun indoor activities too, including many we wouldn’t be able to do at home. I am very pleased to see how happy he is there.

Brilliant nursery, my eldest attended this nursery and my youngest is currently there. I love the way it’s all been transformed inside, it needed it as it’s been the same for the past 30-years. The staff are all really nice and are amazing with my son. I do think there could be more choice in food, as my son is pretty fussy but he does give things a good go.

My son has come on leaps and bounds in terms of his independence in day to day skills and his relations with other children. Handwriting is also coming on a treat! Lots of money has been spent on the transformation of the nursery and it’s really showing. Good job all.

Really happy so far with the Nursery as I think it’s really well organised especially between staff and knowing the children. I really like the new outdoor area and I also think the cleanliness and meals are fantastic.

All teachers and staff in Hazel Tree Montessori Nursery are friendly and professional. My little one happily developed lots of new skills in this nursery. Already registered my second unborn child with this nursery also. Big thank you x

Brilliant nursery with lots of resources and fabulous staff. They’re always friendly and it’s a lovely atmosphere. My child’s been in from five months old up to school age and loves going, has lots to say about the activities and comes home tired. They have a very great manager and are very aware of difficulties children may face especially with covid and changes to routines, and are great with helping children adjust (and parents!). I have found them very supportive and efficient, signposting to relevant services where potential issues are identified, and maintaining communication throughout the process so we knew what to expect and when. They ensured my child got the help he needs including speech and language and early years help and have managed activities to aid development in these areas in an informal setting, as well as arranging meetings. The children always seem to be busy with varied activities covering a lot of different areas of education and they are able to explore new things.

Our son (2.5) is new to Hazel Tree Montessori, but we had already heard from a friend whose daughter attends Pear Tree, their sister nursery, that it was a great environment. I was impressed on the tour when speaking to the owner at the emphasis she put on teaching them how to learn, rather than teaching them specific pieces of knowledge. So at the preschool level, rather than making sure they know how to count to 100 or whatever, they instead focus on making sure they can concentrate for long periods, sit still on their chair, or listen to and follow instructions; in short, skills that will be invaluable for school but aren’t necessarily always taught at school. I also really appreciated that they offered 5 settle sessions rather than the single session some other nurseries offered, meaning our son really had a chance to build up to full days, and the new back garden is amazing. So far he’s loving it, and seems to be really bonding with his caregivers there too, which is lovely to see!

The staff is superb and the new Montessori education makes the nursery look very tidy and clean. I’ve noticed that my little boy does tasks that I’ve never taught him, which is very impressive. The playground is lovely and gives the children more exploring and playing time.

A lovely place for my daughter to spend her weekdays. Continued investment, genuine care from all staff. She is always happy going to nursery at Hazel Tree Montessori and at the end of the day she enjoys sharing her experiences.

Amazing nursery, both of my children have come on a lot since starting here. The staff are amazing and friendly to speak to. Since having my children there I don’t have to worry about anything, you are always updated throughout the children's day, which is a massive relief. I couldn’t thank the nursery for everything they do. The children enjoy every activity they do in the nursery and they are always engaged in whatever they do. When the children come home they love to tell me how their day has been. Since having the boys in a nursery it’s helped me a lot around work and having time to myself. When putting the boys in nursery I was so nervous, but the nursery made me relax and was always supportive! I love the boys going to nursery, it helps so much with their independence and getting to know other children, and it also gives them a little bit of a heads up to know what school liked will be like. Once the children have settled it helps you to know they're enjoying the environment that they're in.

Hazel Tree's unwavering professionalism and support for its children and parents' well-being and development is a credit to the nursery. The handling of the transition to Montessori status during the pandemic - which brought great challenges and pressure for staff - was exceptional. The hard work and compassion of the staff is plain to see at this nursery. The quality of resources and nutrition available to children is excellent - as is the staff training. The implementation of the Montessori method has been a swift transition, with children and staff adapting well. Communication with parents is excellent, staff raise any concerns or good news with us as soon as possible, and make good use of the parent app to keep parents abreast of their child's activities and achievements throughout the day. Our child has developed greatly in confidence and independence since first attending in August 2021. As parents, we couldn't be happier or more trusting in the people who are looking after our child

Hazelwood is a wonderful nursery. Our daughter settled in so quickly and really enjoys her time at nursery. The staff make a huge amount of effort to create a stimulating and enjoyable environment for the children and we feel very reassured knowing our precious daughter is being loved and cared for there. They have lovely menus and make the effort to introduce the children to exciting flavours from around the world. Our daughter has made friends at nursery and this interaction is very important to us. Staff take the children on walks every day which is lovely. The nursery encourages parent participation and feedback which we feel is very important. No negatives so far at all. The Hazelwood nursery team are utterly fantastic. They provide a loving, stimulating and fun environment for the children. They are very open and honest with parents and incredibly well-organised. My 2-year-old son has always been very nervous of new people and environments but Hazelwood was incredibly patient with him (and me) when it came to settling him into the nursery. The patience paid off and within two weeks of starting nursery my little boy was happily walking in and bouncing out full of smiles. He loves nursery, which is fantastic for us to see. Highly recommend this place.

What a wonderful nursey, the whole ethos of the nursery and its staff is driven solely by caring so much about the children that go there. As well as loving the brilliant staff, my daughter has made some good friends, has been taught so much about cultural diversity and has made memories that I know she will cherish when she starts school this September. These years are precious, and I could not have asked for a more supportive, reassuring and enjoyable learning environment for her to have been a part of.
