Their aim is to provide the children in their care with a positive and caring atmosphere, ensuring a safe learning environment where each child is encouraged to reach their potential.

The nursery was purpose-built in 1994 with an exciting and inspirational outdoor area within the Oldham hospital grounds. The nursery operates a strong parent partnership policy to ensure they are informed and involved in their child's progress. The nursery also offers 10% discount to all emergency workers.

My baby started nursery in May she wasn't very good with people and would cry when mum and dad wasn't around, since joining nursery she's come on so much and loves going, the girls are brilliant with her and even management get involved and have a little cuddle, can honestly say the best thing I did
was put my little girl at Teddies Nursery

My overall opinion of this nursery is that it is a very welcoming place and now seems to have stable members of staff, whereas only a few months back there were different members of staff on what seems to be a weekly basis.
My daughter seems to really enjoy going here as well and mainly down to one
member of staff who has stuck with the nursery in the 13/14 months my daughter has been there.
There have been a few occasions where my child has been the victim of incidents and I have been very close to removing her but again I have an awful lot of faith in this member of staff and don't want to remove her from my child's routine.
The nursery appears to do a lot of activities for the children and involves the parents which is nice.

We have always had a very positive experience with Teddies Nursery. My daughter has been attending since she was one and is just over two now. I feel that her social and communication skills and confidence have grown in that time and she enjoys going and is happy to be there. I feel the staff really
know my child and takes the time to tell me about her day and have a chat at the end of the day.
The communication between myself and the nursery is excellent and if I had an issue/question, I feel I would be heard and responded to effectively.

Teddies Nursery has been excellent. The staff are all kind and caring. My girl settled in so well. Feel relaxed leaving her. It's nice to get an update on what she has eaten etc. Her confidence has grown and, due to the staff's hard work, is thriving. All staff are approachable.
I would recommend Teddies
Nursery to any parent looking for a place for their child.

Teddies Nursery is a great nursery! Since my little girl started at Teddies, she has come on leaps and bounds in her development and confidence. All the staff are friendly and helpful. We love the updates we get on our daughter's learning and development via the app. Can't thank Teddies Nursery enough

My son and now my daughter both attend this nursery. They have both settled well and enjoy their time at the nursery. The staff are friendly and caring to the children and I have been amazed by how much they do to help the children develop.

Fantastic nursery!
Leaving your child at a nursery is so difficult, especially when your child is taking a while to settle (lockdown baby) but the staff and Teddies, in general, have been brilliant with both me as the mother and my son! Taking it slowly, helping us both to adjust! I am honestly so
impressed and grateful for this nursery and its staff! The staff are honestly amazing! They are kind, patient and caring and I completely trust them in such a short space of time!
They take time and plan and think about how to engage the children and what activities they can do to help the children!
I cannot recommend this nursery enough! I can't say enough nice things about it! Absolutely fantastic! I can see my son being very happy and developing well here!

Really nice place. The staff are really friendly. They keep me up to date with how my child is getting on. My son enjoys it. From time to time they upload pictures and always inform me of any progression made.

The nursery is amazing, all of the staff are friendly and helpful and everything is explained perfectly. My daughter settles in well when she comes in. Staff are fully experienced and know how to handle anything that may come their way.

All the staff at Teddies Nursery are very professional, they are very friendly, caring and supportive of individual needs in helping them make a bright future making sure the set goals for the children are met by all staff, to your best abilities and best interests of the child's needs. My daughter

My little brother attends this nursery and he absolutely loves it! He’s been going since he was very young and the nursery has been a huge part in his development. As his sister I can see how he picks new skills and abilities up every day. He is a very curious little boy and the staff at the nursery
are more than accommodating to his constant question of ‘what’s that?’ He’s recently moved up in nursery to a new room and within 2 days his speech and understanding has shot through the roof. He started to use all his words in the right context and communicate so much better, the staff are a huge part of this. They also invite family in for ‘stay and play’ activities where we as a family, can get involved and see the child in the nursery. When I went in to see my little brother the staff do activities that cater to the child’s interests and help them to learn through their favourite things. I massively recommend Teddies nursery and am so proud to see my little brother flourish more each day.

Since attending Teddies, my daughter has come on leaps and bounds. She spoke very little when first starting and now is using complex vocabulary for her age! Her intelligence has grown beyond belief and she is now thriving in every way possible. Staff ensure my daughter's needs are met and give regular
updates through the app, which is brilliant. We’re able to check when she has eaten and what, when her nappy has been changed etc. Staff are always messaging with pictures of my daughter throughout the day and updating us on the progress she makes, which is very reassuring for us parents.

I can't fault Teddies nursery one bit! My son has loved going to nursery from day one. They are great at settling children in when they first attend. We get a lot of updates and photos throughout the day and it's clear to see the children get involved in so much fun. I feel at ease knowing that my son
is being cared for to a high standard!

Great nursery that have supported our needs for us and our child and have good start and end time support. The daily updates of what your child has done, eaten and slept on the app are great (the more the better) as well as regular activity updates with photos and videos are also great.

Highly recommend! My child has settled with ease from the age of 9 months and is now 19 months. His learning has amazed us as parents, always coming home with funny dances and new words. He’s always happy to see the staff and always has a lovely day with photos of his day on the app or always bringing
something he’s made home. Our next kids will be going here.

Nursery updates me on my daughter's behaviour, even if she has been naughty, this is important, so we can make sure she understands when she is at home. They praise her when she is good and gets stamps and tells me what she has done well for example helped tidy away. There is also an opportunity each
week for her to go into nursery on different days and time due to work being random hours. They make sure the kids go outside even if it's raining, and she loves it. If I have any questions, they will always get back to me really fast; this could be face to face email or phone call.

My son has attended this nursery since a young age due to work commitments (around 7-8 months old, he is now 2 years old) and the staff have always taken amazing care of him. He has formed many bonds with the staff and genuinely loves seeing them. He now really enjoys going to nursery and seeing staff
and playing with his friends. They always go out of their way to make sure the children are happy, comforted and accommodate any requests made by the parent(s) as best they can. The activities they arrange for the children are lots of fun and teach them a lot. I could not imagine sending him anywhere else.

The nursery and the staff in itself are fantastic. There is plenty of activities for the kids to do, the food is a good variety and a well-balanced diet. It is kept clean and as tidy as it can be kept with 20 plus kids running around. The only bad thing I can say is they lose some things given to them
for the kids i.e. bottles, my kids shoes were given to the wrong child. Luckily we had spares. My kids wellies were there but the staff forgot who's they were and they ask us to give them items to use for kids, expecting us to be able to and for us to have spares to use outside nursery.

Lyndsey Cahill

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2010

I have worked at Teddies Day Nursery for 11 years and have progressed from being a Nursery practitioner up to being an excellent Nursery manager. I currently also lead the preschool room ensuring all our children are at the best point of their early education and are school ready. I enjoy being at the forefront of Early Education and ensure my knowledge and training is of the highest standard and love being able to support the other staff in their development.
