Their aim is to provide the children in their care with a positive and caring atmosphere, ensuring a safe learning environment where each child is encouraged to reach their potential.

The nursery was purpose-built in 1994 with an exciting and inspirational outdoor area within the Oldham hospital grounds. The nursery operates a strong parent partnership policy to ensure they are informed and involved in their child's progress. The nursery also offers 10% discount to all emergency workers.

Staff are always extremely friendly and supportive. My little boy absolutely loves nursery and it’s all down to the girls that work there. They’re all very caring and have brilliant bonds with him. The activities they put on are all brilliant and it’s great that they keep us updated on a daily basis.
The food they have is always a very good selection.

Perfect honestly can’t fault, helped my son become fully potty trained and they give constant feedback on what my child does in the day including pictures, also food etc. They also do lovely family day activities and stay and play.

My daughter loves nursery, all the staff have been very helpful and always approachable. Any concerns or questions are answered timely. The manager is an exceptional manager, she is very helpful and such an asset to Teddies Nursery.

I love the fact that my daughter has progressed significantly since starting here. The staff are kind and caring, they always ensure we are aware of what has gone on through the day. The activities are endless which keeps my daughter occupied and learning something new everyday.

My son attends and he has special needs, the staff are absolutely brilliant in making sure his needs are met, they are very friendly and approachable and keep me up to date on a daily basis. They have an app facility which allows you to see pictures of what your child has been doing. I recommend this
nursery to all parents. Thank you for everything. My son is always happy to attend and I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone looking for a great setting for their child.

Both my son and daughter attend Teddies Nursery. They love it, the staff are friendly and attentive. The staff really care about my children which is important for me to know they are in good hands! My eldest looks forward to going into nursery each week and often speaks of the lovely staff and her
friends there. The staff in the baby room are also lovely and cheer my youngest on through all his milestones!
They participate in various activities including messy play, story time and outdoors play which my children love.
They offer different meals each day and cater to any dietary requirements. They communicate with parents effectively through the app and telephone.
Well done Teddies for keeping such a high standard we love it here.

Teddies is an amazing nursery.
Very child-centred, keeps parents in the loop and is very culturally aware.
I am very at ease with my child being cared for here. My child loves it here and looks forward to going into nursery.
The very green space at the back also gives my child the flexibility to
explore nature and be imaginative.

Brilliant nursery and our child loves going there. The staff are so friendly and helpful with regular updates on your child’s progress. Love the app they have which updates you each day about your child sleep, what they have eaten for the day etc.

My little girl started Teddies in February 2023 when she was only five months old and she has loved it since day one. She has built excellent positive relationships with all staff and every single member of staff knows her inside out, even those who are not based in the baby room. All staff, including
management talk to me every morning and afternoon about how she has got on, what she has eaten, how she has slept etc. Being an Early Years leader myself, I know how tricky staffing can be, but this seems to be very stable currently. It is such a relief to know how happy and settled my daughter is at nursery and how much progress she is making, she is thriving! I love seeing photos and observations of her learning and progress on the app. Thank you to all staff at Teddies, especially those in the baby room.

This nursery is honestly amazing, the staff are all lovely. My little boy loves attending nursery and his development has come so far since starting at Teddies.
He has complex health needs and the staff have been trained on how to tube feed him. The best decision I ever made was to send him to Teddies!

Teddies have gone above and beyond to help our nephew settle in and have been more than helpful with any complications that have come up. Our nephew loves it there and looks forward to it every week. They throw different events and themes all the time which our child loves to join in on.

The staff are so amazing with our boy. He is always looked after and has developed a routine. He eats a variety of foods now and is engaging with others. The nursery allows our boy to play and learn and we are regularly kept updated about his progress and what he has been up to. The nursery sends messages
about important information and dates regularly too.

My son thoroughly enjoys his time at nursery, staff are excellent in their care and attention. They are excellent in the important stages of their development and learning. We couldn’t feel safer sending our child here. The staff are amazing and keep us informed of any goings on without hesitation. Amazing facilities also offer our child to advance and learn new skills as he grows up into a bright young boy.

My great grandson has come on really well since starting at the nursery, he took a couple of weeks to settle but everyone was very patient with him. He is saying a lot more words and is eating much better. The staff are very caring.

An excellent nursery, so glad we chose this nursery for our son. They keep you constantly updated with how they are doing. Plan trips out to the zoo. Run events throughout the year. Could not ask for a better nursery.

Lyndsey Cahill

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2010

I have worked at Teddies Day Nursery for 11 years and have progressed from being a Nursery practitioner up to being an excellent Nursery manager. I currently also lead the preschool room ensuring all our children are at the best point of their early education and are school ready. I enjoy being at the forefront of Early Education and ensure my knowledge and training is of the highest standard and love being able to support the other staff in their development.
