The nursery was purpose-built in 1994 with an exciting and inspirational outdoor area within the Oldham hospital grounds. The nursery operates a strong parent partnership policy to ensure they are informed and involved in their child's progress. The nursery also offers 10% discount to all emergency workers.

The staff at teddies day nursery are amazing they have supported my son since 2 and a half now 4 years old he enjoys nursery he tells me when I pick him up and like circle time and singing songs with the staff.

We are very happy with our experience at Teddies Nursery. We have seen clear improvements in our toddler's learning, particularly in language and communication, and he is much more confident expressing himself. The staff are caring, attentive and friendly and the environment is warm and well organised.
Frequent opportunities offered to parents to be involved in the children's activities too. The app for communication is very convenient.
I feel like a couple of times, over the course of a year, we were called to bring in extra accessories for our child, though they were already present in his bag. This could have been avoided.
Bottomline - would recommend Teddies

Teddies has been very welcoming and everyone has taken great care of my son. He initially took some time to settle but now he genuinely looks forward to going in the mornings. He remembers the names of his key workers and loves to shower them with hugs and kisses. I love that he is also spoken to in
Urdu at times as it is very important to me that he grows up bilingual. Finally, he has learned lots of new skills including using cutlery

We couldn't be happier with Teddies nursery. From the very beginning, the staff have been so warm, welcoming, and supportive, which made settling in such a smooth and positive experience for our 2-year-old. It's clear how much they genuinely care about the children.


The activities are always fun,

creative, and focused on learning through play. We've seen such a big improvement in our child's confidence, relationships with others, and especially their vocabulary and interactions. It's amazing to see how much they've grown and the milestones they're achieving.


The app is also fantastic. It keeps us informed about day-to-day routines, activities, and our child's progress, which gives us real peace of mind while they're at nursery.


We're so grateful to the wonderful team at Teddies for creating such a safe, happy, and nurturing environment. We would highly recommend this nursery to any parent.

Our 16-month-old son has been at Teddies since September, and we're so happy with it! Staff are super friendly, and he's safe and clearly happy. He's made loads of progress - more confident, getting independent, and even took his first steps soon after starting! They offer a great variety of meals
and textures, which has really helped him explore food. Would totally recommend.

The staff at Teddy's day Nursery have helped with my son so much, he has been supported with his crawling and is now able to stand independently and take a few steps. My son really enjoys his time a nursery.

My experience at the nursery has been great, the baby room staff have been amazing to my daughter, settling her in and making her journey in the nursery more comfortable, I can see she has a lot more confidence and she feels very safe there.

We've been with Teddies since June 2025 and we've had no regrets. The staff in our child's room are amazing and caring.
We're happy with the feedback at each pickup and developmental progress on the app.

My daughter went to teddies before she started full time, she loved it and now my son goes to pre school in Teddies.


Love all the staff, my son really enjoys coming here.

My baby has been attending this nursery for some time now, and I honestly couldn't be happier with the care he receives. The staff are incredibly caring, nurturing, and attentive, and they create such a safe and welcoming environment for the children. The atmosphere is always warm and positive, and

Teddies nursery is far the best nursery both my children have attended the nursery.my youngest son currently attends teddies and he absolutely loves it he comes home smiling and laughing and with a full tummy the teachers are amazing and work so hard. The management are fantastic and so easy to speak

This nursery is great! My son loves coming each day and has formed wonderful relationships with both the staff and his peers. The staff are dedicated, taking the time to get to know him, his likes, and dislikes, even if they aren't based in his room. They go above and beyond to ensure his needs are
met and his learning is progressing. The manager is fantastic, always visible and approachable, and ensures that both parents and children feel valued. The nursery celebrates cultural events, making sure all children are involved, and they host regular "stay and play" sessions, inviting parents and grandparents to join. It's a warm, inclusive, and nurturing environment where my son is thriving, and I couldn't be more grateful!

I couldn't be happier with my experience at Teddies Nursery Oldham. The staff are incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely care about the children's well-being and development. My children have settled in great and it's clear they feel safe and happy there.


The activities are well thought out, encouraging

learning through play while also promoting social skills. I've noticed a big improvement in my children's confidence and communication since starting. The staff keep me well-informed with regular updates, which gives me great peace of mind.


The nursery itself is clean, well-organized, and filled with engaging toys and resources. Outdoor play is also a big part of their routine, which I really appreciate.

The staff are always really good with my girls.
I have twins and each child is treated as an individual.

My little girl loves coming to nursery!
Staff have always been very kind and friendly.
Great activities for the children.
I do think they need to make the outside space much bigger so the children have more space but still a fabulous nursery.

My son has been at teddies since he was 9 months old and he is due to start school this year.
So he has been in all the rooms and stages and been supported by pretty much all the staff members.
He is always happy and well cared for. The ladies work hard to teach him new things in a fun way.
He always
eats well.
Everyone is always kind and friendly and I can see they genuinely care about him.
I will be really sad when he has to leave for school this year as the 4 years he has been here have been great!

Lyndsey Cahill

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2010

I have worked at Teddies Day Nursery for 11 years and have progressed from being a Nursery practitioner up to being an excellent Nursery manager. I currently also lead the preschool room ensuring all our children are at the best point of their early education and are school ready. I enjoy being at the forefront of Early Education and ensure my knowledge and training is of the highest standard and love being able to support the other staff in their development.
