We felt completely at ease leaving our child at such a young age and have always felt reassured that he would be cared for at the highest level. He has thoroughly enjoyed every single day and always comes home a very happy child! He has grown so much through the day to day learning activities and made very strong bonds with his fellow classmates.
We will be very sad for him to leave, but know are little boy is now 100% prepared for school and this is testament to all of the team that work so hard every day, teaching and supporting all of the children individually, so they are ready to move on to their next learning chapter.
We can only express our complete gratitude and thanks to all of the team that work here, and we would not hesitate to recommend this nursery.
Staff are super friendly and the pre-school program is excellent. We have just started with Wollaton house in the midst of Covid-19, and all the safeguarding for the children is excellent. I've got a super curious, high-energetic toddler really enjoying her days at Wollaton House.
The care that they provide is second to none! They are so welcoming, kind, professional and you can instantly tell the love that they have for the children.
Our son has absolutely loved every minute there, and we are sad that his time here will be ended soon to go to ‘big school’. Fortunately, our time with Wollaton House isn’t over yet, as our 8-month-old daughter is about to start in September. Already the love that they show towards her when we collect her brother is amazing! We cannot wait for her to be cared for by the whole team and we know she will love it and them as much we already do.
Wollaton House felt like a family home even before we started, staff are kind and caring. They treat our kids like family. This is evident in how the kids interact and speak about the staff and how they are happy about going into nursery. For us, it was a bonus that there are also male staff members to provide good male role models.
Our children learned how to socialise in a confident, but well-mannered way and any wayward behaviour is dealt with in a firm but fair, age-appropriate way. As well as a start to formal education, they also teach them other beneficial skills. All of this really sets them up for school in the best way possible.
The manager and the staff have been great in helping us to deal with any issues that we've had and their experience really shines through. They are all really friendly and always have me set up (usually laughing) for going into a day of work, knowing that my children are going to be well cared for. They are truly going to be missed!
Trying to write a review to express the amount of happiness that my son has experienced over the 4 years that he has spent here is nigh on impossible so I will try and keep it simple. The manager and her team have decades of experience, if you have questions they have answers. They will support and encourage your child from day one until the day they leave for primary school. My son loves it here and I know they genuinely love him because Wollaton House isn’t just a nursery, it’s a big family that you just haven’t met yet.
All of the nurseries we visited spoke of how the children were their priority but Wollaton House demonstrated this from the outset. For example, our visit was arranged when we were least likely to disturb the children and we were asked to sit down in the baby room so we seemed less intimidating to them. This was reassuring as I wanted my daughter to experience as little disruption as possible as she settled into nursery. None of the other nurseries we visited prioritised the children's needs over that of prospective parents.
Most importantly, when I leave my daughter I have complete trust that she is safe and well cared for. When we drop her off in the morning she grins and reaches for the manager.
The thought of sending our firstborn off to nursery worried me, how would she settle in, how would I settle at work, how will they know what she likes, etc. but Wollaton House and the staff were so understanding and could foresee all my worries. The manager knew exactly what to say and how to quash all those worries and really put my mind at ease. She is fabulous.
Our daughter had two settling in sessions which she benefited from as much as I did.
She loves going to nursery and we have noticed great developments in the short time she has been there. The daily menus are fantastic and she eats so well.
We highly recommend it, it is just wonderful.
As a first-time mum I felt a little apprehensive about my 9-month-old son starting nursery. From my first visit to my first day, the team at the nursery put me at ease. I now enjoy reading his daily report, reading about his skills developing, what he likes to play with and his 'messy play' activity. I already have a lovely collection of craft activities and it is great to hear he is eating well and taking long naps. My son's communication skills and motor skills are really coming along thanks to nursery. I know he is being looked after and that makes the 'mum guilt' of going back to work much easier. Highly recommend.
As a new father, the experience of taking my son to nursery is very pleasant, with the staff always eager to help. There's always a big smile at the door to welcome my son to nursery, which makes leaving him a lot easier, as I know he's in safe hands.
This is less a review and more a commendation of the entire nursery, from baby room to pre-school, I can not recommend highly enough. The staff are kind, caring and understanding, going out of their way to assist parents, the atmosphere is calm and friendly, all the children are happy, well mannered and polite.
Wollaton House Day Nursery not only cares for your children 8 - 6, they take a vested interest in their present lives and their futures, promoting confidence, kindness, good manors alongside all of the physical and educational activities. The time is coming near for my youngest daughter to fledged the nest, course set for school, and not only will she be sad to leave, it will be a sad day for myself and wife too. This nursery is a big part of our lives, the staff feel like family, they will all be sorely missed.
Since our son started going to nursery three days a week from November 2019, he is already showing signs of becoming more socially confident. We feel with the care and teaching from the staff at Wollaton House has encouraged his development. We are so happy he has settled so well into nursery life. The homely feel, the kindness and professionalism of the staff is why I think he has settled.
We are extremely happy with the care that we received for both of our children in Wollaton House Day Nursery. The manager and her team have done a good job in particular on preparing my son for Reception year. Our children are always looking forward and happy to go there.
He has always eaten well and had healthy wholesome meals homemade. Has managed to have a good nap in the day so is rested and sleeps well at night. The staff are great to talk to and have so much experience and give really helpful advice to me as a first-time mum. I cannot recommend Wollaton House enough.
Nursery has been a loving and kind experience for my daughter. We received the best care and it was like sending our daughter to a family members house. Our daughter left nursery as a confident, loved and clever little girl. At times it was difficult managing our parent anxiety but upon reflection, the nursery really helped us overcome this by being firm, at times it was difficult managing how firm they were, but in the long run it was beneficial.
Our experience of the nursery has been fantastic. The staff and management are excellent at what they do. The nursery provides a safe environment for kids and prides itself for its effective learning and development. Since joining the nursery, my son has improved socially and academically. He is able to read and write independently. I would highly recommend the nursery to anyone considering it.
The nursery staff and management provide such a warm, safe, lovely and fun environment for children, and parents are made to feel like members of a big supportive family.
I have had experiences of other nurseries with my older 2 children, and Wollaton House Day nursery has definitely been much better and in a league of its own.
My daughter has learned so much and developed into a confident, happy and independent child. Although she leaves nursery to start school this September, we are confident that we have given her one of the best starts to life.
Being first time parents, it has been a roller coaster journey in which Wollaton House has supported us through our childs development stages. We have seen her excel socially, emotionally, physically thanks to the staff at Wollaton House. The manager puts her heart and soul into the nursery and this shines through every child. Our child loves going to nursery, she is always smiling. A lovely place for a child to grow.
I am very happy me and my child's father chose this nursery. Staff are very friendly and my son has learnt and grown so much since coming to Wollaton House Day Nursery.
I cannot speak highly enough of Wollaton House Day Nursery. We have recently left the nursery due to relocation away from Nottingham and have missed the team and setting since moving. Both of our children, 4 years and 22 months, were with Wollaton House from 5 months and settled really well making close bonds with the carers. Wollaton House made so much effort to put us at ease as the children started and moved up to new rooms, as well as when we hit milestones whether it be teething, weaning, toilet training etc. The communication between nursery and parents was great and I always felt that we had the opportunity to discuss development, next steps and just the usual day to day “stuff”. I loved the structure that Wollaton House put around early years education, we have really seen the benefit of this with our eldest now that she is due to start school. The team got to know us as a family, and the nursery was a significant part of our early years with the kids.
The staff are incredible at Wollaton House Day Nursery. They are super friendly and genuinely care for every child and their families. After visiting several nurseries, I can honestly say there isn't one like this place.
