Wollaton House Day Nursery are committed to maintaining the highest standards of childcare and nursery education. Full time or part-time childcare is offered for children between birth and 5 years, Monday to Friday, in a safe, secure and stimulating environment.

The nursery recognizes what an important role they play in a child’s development, so most of all they want children to be happy, confident and to feel secure. All sessions offer a well-planned programme of activities which allow both organised and free play as well as quiet times.

The Wollaton Nursery has a fully qualified infant teacher who coordinates the Foundation Stage learning programme for children aged 3-5 years. Carefully structured educational play ensures the children enjoy a stimulating time at the nursery. They guide and encourage your child’s development in the key areas of reading, writing, numbers and sounds. The aim is to help pre-school children to discover and begin to develop their basic academic core skills.

Trying to write a review to express the amount of happiness that my son has experienced over the 4 years that he has spent here is nigh on impossible so I will try and keep it simple. The manager and her team have decades of experience, if you have questions they have answers. They will support and
encourage your child from day one until the day they leave for primary school. My son loves it here and I know they genuinely love him because Wollaton House isn’t just a nursery, it’s a big family that you just haven’t met yet.

Choosing a nursery for your child can feel like a daunting decision but we were confident from our first visit that Wollaton House was going to take great care of our daughter. They came highly recommended by friends and this was well deserved.
All of the nurseries we visited spoke of how the children
were their priority but Wollaton House demonstrated this from the outset. For example, our visit was arranged when we were least likely to disturb the children and we were asked to sit down in the baby room so we seemed less intimidating to them. This was reassuring as I wanted my daughter to experience as little disruption as possible as she settled into nursery. None of the other nurseries we visited prioritised the children's needs over that of prospective parents.
Most importantly, when I leave my daughter I have complete trust that she is safe and well cared for. When we drop her off in the morning she grins and reaches for the manager.

Choosing a nursery was made very easy after visiting Wollaton House. It was the third nursery we had visited and the last we needed to see. As soon as my husband and I went in we felt confident this was the one. Wollaton House is like a home from home, cosy, friendly and the kind of nursery I’d want
to go to if I was a one year old.
The thought of sending our firstborn off to nursery worried me, how would she settle in, how would I settle at work, how will they know what she likes, etc. but Wollaton House and the staff were so understanding and could foresee all my worries. The manager knew exactly what to say and how to quash all those worries and really put my mind at ease. She is fabulous.
Our daughter had two settling in sessions which she benefited from as much as I did.
She loves going to nursery and we have noticed great developments in the short time she has been there. The daily menus are fantastic and she eats so well.
We highly recommend it, it is just wonderful.

As a first-time mum I felt a little apprehensive about my 9-month-old son starting nursery. From my first visit to my first day, the team at the nursery put me at ease. I now enjoy reading his daily report, reading about his skills developing, what he likes to play with and his 'messy play' activity.
I already have a lovely collection of craft activities and it is great to hear he is eating well and taking long naps. My son's communication skills and motor skills are really coming along thanks to nursery. I know he is being looked after and that makes the 'mum guilt' of going back to work much easier. Highly recommend.

As a new father, the experience of taking my son to nursery is very pleasant, with the staff always eager to help. There's always a big smile at the door to welcome my son to nursery, which makes leaving him a lot easier, as I know he's in safe hands.

My daughters have been attending Wollaton House Day Nursery since 2013 and 2016 respectively, my eldest daughter (now in school) still enjoys visiting to pick her sister up.
This is less a review and more a commendation of the entire nursery, from baby room to pre-school, I can not recommend highly
enough. The staff are kind, caring and understanding, going out of their way to assist parents, the atmosphere is calm and friendly, all the children are happy, well mannered and polite.
Wollaton House Day Nursery not only cares for your children 8 - 6, they take a vested interest in their present lives and their futures, promoting confidence, kindness, good manors alongside all of the physical and educational activities. The time is coming near for my youngest daughter to fledged the nest, course set for school, and not only will she be sad to leave, it will be a sad day for myself and wife too. This nursery is a big part of our lives, the staff feel like family, they will all be sorely missed.

Since our son started going to nursery three days a week from November 2019, he is already showing signs of becoming more socially confident. We feel with the care and teaching from the staff at Wollaton House has encouraged his development. We are so happy he has settled so well into nursery life.
The homely feel, the kindness and professionalism of the staff is why I think he has settled.

My son has been going to Wollaton House for five months now. He seems to thoroughly enjoy his days there, playing, doing creative plat with paints and crafts. I get lots of feedback in a diary and from speaking to the nursery nurses when I collect him about his day.
He has always eaten well and had
healthy wholesome meals homemade. Has managed to have a good nap in the day so is rested and sleeps well at night. The staff are great to talk to and have so much experience and give really helpful advice to me as a first-time mum. I cannot recommend Wollaton House enough.

Nursery has been a loving and kind experience for my daughter. We received the best care and it was like sending our daughter to a family members house. Our daughter left nursery as a confident, loved and clever little girl. At times it was difficult managing our parent anxiety but upon reflection,
the nursery really helped us overcome this by being firm, at times it was difficult managing how firm they were, but in the long run it was beneficial.

Our experience of the nursery has been fantastic. The staff and management are excellent at what they do. The nursery provides a safe environment for kids and prides itself for its effective learning and development. Since joining the nursery, my son has improved socially and academically. He is able

My youngest daughter has been with this nursery since she was less than a year old (currently 4 years old), and our experience has been positive all round. From the first day that my husband and I stepped into the nursery, we knew we had found the one. The staff display such a genuine love for the children,
their families and my daughter bonded with the nursery staff at a young age. She has continued to thrive amazingly since then.
The nursery staff and management provide such a warm, safe, lovely and fun environment for children, and parents are made to feel like members of a big supportive family.
I have had experiences of other nurseries with my older 2 children, and Wollaton House Day nursery has definitely been much better and in a league of its own.
My daughter has learned so much and developed into a confident, happy and independent child. Although she leaves nursery to start school this September, we are confident that we have given her one of the best starts to life.

Being first time parents, it has been a roller coaster journey in which Wollaton House has supported us through our childs development stages. We have seen her excel socially, emotionally, physically thanks to the staff at Wollaton House. The manager puts her heart and soul into the nursery and this

I cannot speak highly enough of Wollaton House Day Nursery. We have recently left the nursery due to relocation away from Nottingham and have missed the team and setting since moving. Both of our children, 4 years and 22 months, were with Wollaton House from 5 months and settled really well making close
bonds with the carers. Wollaton House made so much effort to put us at ease as the children started and moved up to new rooms, as well as when we hit milestones whether it be teething, weaning, toilet training etc. The communication between nursery and parents was great and I always felt that we had the opportunity to discuss development, next steps and just the usual day to day “stuff”. I loved the structure that Wollaton House put around early years education, we have really seen the benefit of this with our eldest now that she is due to start school. The team got to know us as a family, and the nursery was a significant part of our early years with the kids.

My youngest has attended this nursery since he was five months old. (My eldest went to a different nursery).
We initially moved to Wollaton when my eldest was about to start school. When we found out we were having a second we immediately started looking at the local nurseries to see what was on offer.
We decided on Wollaton House for a number of reasons. Firstly it was the closest to our house!
Secondly, the staff and managers were friendly and welcoming. Thirdly all the kids there looked happy and well cared for. What more could you want!
We signed our youngest up before he was even born as I knew when I would be returning to work and being a smaller nursery we wanted to guarantee him a place.
Very happy with this nursery and the support they give to the children and parents.
Would definitely recommend.

Best nursery in the area by far. Very caring and clean. Good wholesome healthy food and there's always more for seconds! Excellent and bright, energetic staff and good staff retention which I find important as they become part of the family. Both male and female staff so it has a great vibe. Learning
facilities are really good and it's in a house so feels familiar and comfortable. The children are listened to. We love it, wouldn't go anywhere else!

Both of my daughters have attended Wollaton House Day Nursery. My oldest is now at school and my youngest continues to attend the nursery. From the beginning, the staff and manager have always been welcoming, helpful and more than happy to have a chat with me to answer any questions or worries I may
have. Both of my daughters enjoy going to nursery and taking part in the wide range of different activities they do on a daily basis. Choosing the right nursery for my daughter's was a difficult decision, however, from the first visit to Wollaton House I knew this was the right place for them. The nursery is such a caring environment with all of the staff getting to know the children and building up a safe, secure and nurturing family environment for the children. Both my daughters have grown in confidence and their social, physical and educational needs have been met to a high standard. I have recommended this nursery to 2 friends and now their children attend the nursery.
