Wollaton House Day Nursery are committed to maintaining the highest standards of childcare and nursery education. Full time or part-time childcare is offered for children between birth and 5 years, Monday to Friday, in a safe, secure and stimulating environment.

The nursery recognizes what an important role they play in a child’s development, so most of all they want children to be happy, confident and to feel secure. All sessions offer a well-planned programme of activities which allow both organised and free play as well as quiet times.

The Wollaton Nursery has a fully qualified infant teacher who coordinates the Foundation Stage learning programme for children aged 3-5 years. Carefully structured educational play ensures the children enjoy a stimulating time at the nursery. They guide and encourage your child’s development in the key areas of reading, writing, numbers and sounds. The aim is to help pre-school children to discover and begin to develop their basic academic core skills.

My daughter has been at Wollaton House Day Nursery since she was a year old and seems to love it! The staff have all been amazing and my daughter is always happy to see them (sometimes so much she forgets to say bye to me!). Parents' evenings are every 6 months and are really useful, but any questions
between this are always answered with no problems.

My daughter has been at Wollaton House Day Nursery since 10-months-old and she's nearly 5 and we have all loved every minute of it. The overall experience from start to finish has been amazing and I have nothing but a very high positive opinion of the comfort, support, care, teaching and positivity.
All staff in every room throughout the years have been a key influence in my child's progression. The management team are very informative, supportive and very professional but still in keeping with the family's feeling of home from home. I and my child have felt safe and secure from the off, given that the experience can be daunting for new parents I immediately felt an overwhelming sense of trust and care. I am more saddened that this year my child leaves and moves on to school as both of us will miss the whole of Wollaton House Day Nursery, everything they offer definitely goes above and beyond all expectations.

Wollaton House has offered us such huge support for us and our son who has special needs. They have taken on the challenges as if he is their own and have been unrelenting in helping him to progress inside and out of the nursery setting. We feel like they know our son well and have gone above and beyond

My daughter has been attending Wollaton House Day Nursery since just before her first birthday she is now two and a half.
She absolutely loves it, at first I was worried about leaving her with strangers but the manager and the team were brilliant with her.
We started with half a day and are now
on four days out of five.
We never have tears at drop off and she runs in without a second look at me.
I’m so happy we found this nursery it’s a perfect fit for my family.
The parent's evenings are friendly and informative and you can always contact the manager if you have a problem.
Would give more stars if I could.
Thank you Wollaton House for making childcare so easy and non-stressful.

Wollaton House Day Nursery is amazing! I cannot recommend them enough. My son used to go to a childminder and I wasn't impressed, he has been at Wollaton House Day Nursery for almost a year now and he is thriving. He loves going, doesn't even say bye to me anymore, just runs through. All staff are loving
and kind towards children and you can tell they have a real passion for teaching. I'd choose Wollaton House over and over again.

Firstly I would like to say that I wish there were more star options as they deserve more than 5!
We enrolled our daughter here in September last year. She was a lockdown baby, born in April 2020. She had many hang ups about new people and being away from me, normal for babies but extreme for lockdown
babies.
From the first phone call, the manager put me at ease and I was fairly sold even before seeing the nursery itself.
They took the time and had the patience to integrate her into the absolutely fabulous surroundings that they offer. She settled within a week and now walks in on her own and doesn’t look back.
They have separate, very well thought out areas to cater for each age group, they are constantly engaged with the children and my daughter always comes out in the evening with some kind of art work, new dance or a newly learned song.
It is clean and has a freshly prepared varied weekly menu. They bring you into the family and I wouldn't trust anyone else with my daughter

Staff are friendly, caring, responsible and take pride in their work.
My lad has benefitted hugely from the nursery's ability to teach him how to be independent and communicate correctly and the nursery strikes a great balance between care and discipline.
We plan to send our daughter in the coming
months.
The staff make this nursery the success that it is.

I couldn't be happier with having chosen to send my daughter to Wollaton House Day Nursery. She was settled really well with the lovely staff and it's clear she gets a great level of input and stimulation during the day.
Meals are cooked on-site and are varied, and my daughter seems to really enjoy
eating there.
Overall great place, recommend it to anyone looking for a caring and personal nursery for their child.

My daughter went to Wollaton House Day Nursery for over 2 years before she started school. I went to several nurseries in the area, before I chose this nursery and I never regretted about my decisions. the cleanliness is impeccable which is truly rare in other nurseries, the manager kept parents well
informed and communication, in general, was very clear.
My daughter always looked happy at the end of the day and she loved her key persons. She developed great drawing skills and progressed a lot in numeracy and grammar.

After attending a large chain nursery in Wollaton for a year we moved our son to Wollaton House in July 2020 after lockdown lifted. This was the best decision we could have made, our once shy, quiet little boy has blossomed. His confidence to speak to adults and ask the most inquisitive questions about
the world is so lovely. I feel the care he receives is very tailored as it’s a smaller nursery and the staff know all the children personally. They are taught real-life skills and they are given guidelines on how to interact with other children and solve conflicts. The in-house teacher has developed his writing, numbers, and phonics skills so well and when he starts school this September he will have started to read simple words on his own. Our son will also be prepared emotionally for school as Nursery have explained the process to them. As parents we feel safe dropping our son off at nursery and we know he has a great time with his friends as he always tells us about the lovely themed activities.

I am just so thankful for everyone at Wollaton House Day Nursery. From the warm welcome to the love and care they give to my son. I have no worries when I drop my son off. I can't say enough great things about Wollaton House Day Nursery. Our little girl has absolutely flourished since she started attending. She was already a confident and independent child but now even more so and she just loves the days when she gets to go and play at nursery. The staff are always warm,
welcoming and there to talk to whenever you need to discuss anything. We were concerned that her speech wasn't developing and Wollaton House Day Nursery were so supportive with practical and tangible advice to support her development and also us as overly concerned parents!

I visited many nurseries before Wollaton House Day Nursery but as soon as I walked through the door I knew it was the one for my daughter. A warm homely feel, lovely staff and the feeling that the children were at the forefront of everything and I was definitely right. My daughter absolutely loves her
time at nursery, the staff are so caring and lovely and I’m pretty sure if my little one was older she would talk about it non stop! They not only make my daughter happy but make me happy knowing how safe and well cared for she is.

This is the first nursery our daughter has attended. We felt a little anxious initially as our daughter (20 months) had been very clingy post lockdown. But I was shown around the nursery and was given a very thorough insight into how the nursery typically runs and felt a great sense of relief, our daughter
does still get upset when dropped off but due to the nursery staffs experience, professionalism and dedication this is getting less with each visit. She is coming on leaps and bounds and we have Wollaton House Day Nursery partly to thank for that.

My experience at this nursery has been excellent and although my child is now at school we both miss the site and staff. I feel it is a home away from home and enabled me to continue working but still giving my child the best start I could, and feeling relaxed about it.
The pre-school environment prepared
my boy for school in terms of confidence, manners, reading and writing. I really couldn't have asked for more.
Staff and children are welcoming and experienced and helped my child when with them but also me as a single mother by having the time for me to talk about how I feel or what I need and I valued all of their input.
My child has grown up with the staff and feel he will be able to negotiate life due to the skills taught at Wollaton House. As most children we have had a couple of issues but the nursery manager was always supportive and worked with me to work with my child and ensure his learning was consistent at both nursery and home.
We worked together and I would recommend them to all.

Our little boy has attended Wollaton House Day Nursery from 11-months -old until pre-school. We could not have wished for a more outstanding nursery where the team have felt like family over the past three and a half years.
We felt completely at ease leaving our child at such a young age and have
always felt reassured that he would be cared for at the highest level. He has thoroughly enjoyed every single day and always comes home a very happy child! He has grown so much through the day to day learning activities and made very strong bonds with his fellow classmates.
We will be very sad for him to leave, but know are little boy is now 100% prepared for school and this is testament to all of the team that work so hard every day, teaching and supporting all of the children individually, so they are ready to move on to their next learning chapter.
We can only express our complete gratitude and thanks to all of the team that work here, and we would not hesitate to recommend this nursery.

Staff are super friendly and the pre-school program is excellent. We have just started with Wollaton house in the midst of Covid-19, and all the safeguarding for the children is excellent. I've got a super curious, high-energetic toddler really enjoying her days at Wollaton House.

Our 4-year-old son has been attending Wollaton House since he was 7-months-old, and we honestly cannot speak highly enough of them and every single member of staff that work there.
The care that they provide is second to none! They are so welcoming, kind, professional and you can instantly tell the
love that they have for the children.
Our son has absolutely loved every minute there, and we are sad that his time here will be ended soon to go to ‘big school’. Fortunately, our time with Wollaton House isn’t over yet, as our 8-month-old daughter is about to start in September. Already the love that they show towards her when we collect her brother is amazing! We cannot wait for her to be cared for by the whole team and we know she will love it and them as much we already do.

Son 2013/2016, Daughter 2017/2020.
Wollaton House felt like a family home even before we started, staff are kind and caring. They treat our kids like family. This is evident in how the kids interact and speak about the staff and how they are happy about going into nursery. For us, it was a bonus that
there are also male staff members to provide good male role models.
Our children learned how to socialise in a confident, but well-mannered way and any wayward behaviour is dealt with in a firm but fair, age-appropriate way. As well as a start to formal education, they also teach them other beneficial skills. All of this really sets them up for school in the best way possible.
The manager and the staff have been great in helping us to deal with any issues that we've had and their experience really shines through. They are all really friendly and always have me set up (usually laughing) for going into a day of work, knowing that my children are going to be well cared for. They are truly going to be missed!
