Wollaton House Day Nursery are committed to maintaining the highest standards of childcare and nursery education. Full time or part-time childcare is offered for children between birth and 5 years, Monday to Friday, in a safe, secure and stimulating environment.

The nursery recognizes what an important role they play in a child’s development, so most of all they want children to be happy, confident and to feel secure. All sessions offer a well-planned programme of activities which allow both organised and free play as well as quiet times.

The Wollaton Nursery has a fully qualified infant teacher who coordinates the Foundation Stage learning programme for children aged 3-5 years. Carefully structured educational play ensures the children enjoy a stimulating time at the nursery. They guide and encourage your child’s development in the key areas of reading, writing, numbers and sounds. The aim is to help pre-school children to discover and begin to develop their basic academic core skills.

Our little boy has been at nursery since he turned one and I couldn't be happier with our choice. The team at Wollaton House has made the transition into nursery an absolute dream. Our little boy is absolutely thriving in the care of the baby room team. From the minute he's handed over to the team you
can see the love and care that is put into every child. The time and attention put in by the team is clear from every drop off and pick up. The menus changes weekly and the standard of food is exceptional with his allergies easily catered to. The management team are a key selling point of the nursery - Tracey and Charlotte go above and beyond to keep us updated and ensure all transitions and handovers are smooth. I couldn't go into work without knowing my little boy was cared for at the highest standard and that is what we are getting at Wollaton House.

Two of my children were at Wollaton House from when they were babies. They were very well taken care of and I felt confident leaving them in their care because I knew they would be well looked after well. Both of them have come out more confident and well rounded children. Thank you very much Tracey

Our daughter has just finished at Wollaton House Day Nursery and as she gets ready to start school, we honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience for her. From the very beginning, she was made to feel safe, happy and loved. Over the years she has absolutely thrived. She has grown into a confident,
curious and independent little girl.


The nursery has played such a huge part in preparing her for this exciting next new chapter. Their range of activities, the learning opportunities and the nurturing family environment have all been wonderful.


The staff are truly incredible; so caring, supportive and genuinely invested in our child's development. We've always felt like valued partners throughout her journey and have always been able to collaborate with the nursery on any development areas we needed assistance with like potty or sleep training.


We will always be grateful for the amazing start Wollaton Day House Nursery has given her.

We've had such a wonderful experience with this nursery. Both of my boys went there and they loved it so much. The management and staff are truly excellent - professional, caring, and always approachable. It's clear how much effort they put into creating a nurturing, fun, and safe environment for the
children. My son loves going in every day, and we've seen so much growth in his confidence and development since he started. The nursery has turned him into a young reader and prepared him for school.

Our son has been at Wollaton House now for around 3 years and is just about to leave. Our experience the entire way through has been nothing but brilliant.
Every single member of staff is a pleasure to deal with and our son absolutely loves going. Every time we pick him up he runs out with a smile
and loves to talk about his day which I think sums up the whole thing.
He's always been a bit shy, but every year he comes out more confident and has developed extraordinarily thanks to everyone's input here.
We're sad to leave as he enjoys it so much but he wouldn't be as prepared to start his next chapter without all of your help.

My son has been with Wollaton House since he turned one, and will be leaving for big school next month. He has absolutely loved his time there, and his development has been fantastic, I have no concerns around him starting school whatsoever. The staff have gone above and beyond and care about the children
so much. My child loves doing PE on Wednesdays and has enjoyed learning Spanish. Most importantly he's made a wonderful group of friends and has always been very happy at nursery. My daughter has also been going for the past year and is getting on great too. A lovely setting with wonderful staff.

Our son started at Wollaton House Day Nursery when he was just 10 months old, and now at two years old, he has absolutely thrived in their care. The dedication and warmth of the staff are truly unmatched, making it the best decision we could have made for him. One of the things we love most is the independent
nature of the nursery and their efficient drop-off-at-the-door policy, which gives us peace of mind knowing he is safe and well cared for. The varied food menu is fantastic, and he enjoys every meal. It's such a comfort to know he is eating well while at nursery. Every morning, he is excited to be dropped off, and every evening, he comes home happy, which speaks volumes about the environment the team has created. He has moved through three different rooms so far, and in each one, the staff have been nothing short of incredible- caring, loving, and exactly what you would hope for in an independent nursery. We have had a really positive experience from the day we went to visit the nursery which has continued since our daughter started attending three days a week when she was 10 months old in March 2024. The staff are all very kind, helpful and welcoming and we got the impression quite quickly that the
nursery wanted the children attending to feel 'at home' there. The nursery itself had a very vibrant atmosphere in which the children could thrive and their development over the years was being monitored and recorded on a regular basis. The nursery staff have been really helpful in answering some of our queries regarding weaning and sleeping problems and they have become a valuable resource to us if ever we have a query or problem that we are going through regarding our daughter. Our daughter comes back from nursery in a really happy mood and we have no doubt that she has thoroughly enjoyed her day. We would recommend this nursery wholeheartedly.

The team at Wollaton House Day Nursery are fantastic and my little boy has absolutely flourished whilst there. The team's dedication, knowledge and enthusiasm every day is evident; I'm not sure how they manage to be so great every day! Our little'uns skills and knowledge have literally exploded since
he's been going and this is clear through his reading, communication, practical and social skills. He loves doing his little bits of homework and is always looking forward to the next day with his friends and the team.
The manager and the team are always happy to take the time to chat about any queries we have, being able to call on their extensive experience with kids is so helpful and reassuring! I know several 16+ year-olds who have very fond memories of going here in years gone by and they're all very happy + great young adults! In summary, we love this place and the team and would have no hesitation in recommending it.

We have 2 children at Wollaton House and they have been so happy there! It's a friendly, welcoming environment. The team go out of their way to ensure the children are nurtured and developed. They are attentive to individual needs, for example, my daughter's dietary needs. Both children have developed
independence skills (especially preparing our 4-year-old for school), as well as personal, social and educational- all of this development is carefully recorded and fed back to us during parent's evenings. We are very grateful!

Really amazing nursery and preschool. The team at Wollaton House were the first people we left our daughter with post-Covid and they made it such an easy experience. She settled in straight away and made so much progress in development as well as her social skills. The team at Wollaton House are always
friendly and seem to really know your child and their individual character. Our daughter would always talk about the staff and what funny things they did and would be really excited to tell them about things she had done or holidays she had been on. Would be comfortable recommending anyone sending their child to Wollaton House - it is run by a team of people who genuinely care and who go out of their way to make parents feel as comfortable as they do the children. Plus all of the little extras like the pictures and crafts that get sent home really make a huge difference and show how much care and focus they put into each child.

We moved to the UK from South Africa for work and needed our son to go straight into a nursery. He had never been to a nursery school before so we were so nervous. I had multiple calls with the head who was just so lovely and reassuring to us sitting miles away and having to make a decision for a little
2-year-old. I had my sister (who is a teacher herself) visit many nursery schools in the area and when she walked into Wollaton House Day Nursery and met some of the teachers and saw the facilities, she instantly fed back that this was the one. Big decision for us to make having never met any of the teachers or seen the school, but goodness me have we been impressed. They have supported us through all sorts of milestones, have been there for advice, have done such a good job with teaching our son things I never thought a 3/4-year-old would grasp and have just been the loveliest bunch I have ever met. I could not recommend them more, have absolutely loved our 2 years with them!

We were very apprehensive to put our son in nursery as he hadn’t been cared for, for a length of time by anyone outside of immediate family. We were also worried how it would impact naps, eating and sleeping. During the introductory phase, the staff really showed their experience and supported me, as
well as my son. For us, our choice of nursery was focused on all the main tick boxes - development, nutrition, environment etc. but we also wanted our baby to feel welcomed, cared for and wanted which is the feeling we get from Wollaton House. It feels like he isn’t a number and amongst a close-knit team who always put the child first. Super efficient, communicative, experienced and kind. We are just coming up to a month and our son is happy and developing every day. How well he has settled has made my transition back to work so much easier and feel I can focus on my working day knowing he is well looked after, happy and safe. We’re keeping everything crossed this continues!

We can’t hold back on how absolutely delighted we are in choosing Wollaton House Day Nursery to help nurture our boy.
We originally chose another nursery at the time of being pregnant; a corporate, seduced by convenience. However very quickly after our 9-month-old started, we realised that we’d made
the wrong choice for many reasons.
Wollaton House Day Nursery was recommended to us by a friend and as soon as we spoke to the nursery manager we knew instantly that we had to get our boy a coveted place! It’s fair to say our boy adores his nursery family; as do we!
We drop him off knowing that he is shown love, his every need is taken care of and that his mind is stimulated by the activities and playtime - what more could we ask for?!
Delighted is an understatement. We have found the staff to be so supportive and really knowledgeable; truly lovely people. Therefore without hesitation, we wholeheartedly recommend the nursery and its incredible staff as a genuinely wholesome nursery environment.

My oldest daughter has been at this nursery 2.5 years and my second has been there since October ‘23, and I can honestly say it’s the best nursery I know of. I visited quite a few before applying for my firstborn, and I immediately knew Wollaton House was for us. We had an instant warm, family feel
about this place and it really has paid off.
I’ve seen huge development milestones in both our girls since being here and the team are just fabulous (also deserve more than medals), I’m certain they are part-time medical/out-of-hours doctors too!
Thank you to you all, your hard work never goes unnoticed.

Well, what can I say that hasn't been said before?! From the very first telephone call, where I explained the issues we were having with the previous nursery (lack of communication, lack of structure, abject chaos at times!), I felt that we were listened to and treated with respect and understanding.

Without a doubt, this is the setting that our son needed. A caring, compassionate, loving, and structured environment where 'family' is at the heart of teaching and learning. The children aren't only encouraged and steered into being self-sufficient inquisitive learners, but shown how to work as a team...a family...and look after each other.
The level of respect shown by the staff towards the children is mirrored by the kids as they skip into nursery...and are reluctant to leave with daddy/mummy at the end of the day as they're having so much fun.
The food is varied and delicious, it must be as I'm always hearing he's had seconds/ thirds!
I just wish I had more than 1000 word limit.

One of the best if not the best nursery in town. My child has learnt a wealth of information that is preparing him for school. The school is very nurturing and caters to the needs of your child. It has sensory provisions and supports the emotional and mental well-being of the child, not to mention the
educational aspect which is excellent. I would recommend it to any parent.
